Came in here for some food after work and was thoroughly disappointed in the lack of flavor in the chicken wings. First off it was like chewing on tire. Second there was no flavor except in the sauce. The bread sticks that come with a meal have no flavor. Second the service isn't any good. At 4:30 PM in a restaurant with only 5 people in it (myself included) one can expect at least one check in from the staff, I had to get somebody's attention to order a beer at the bar. I'm glad (Epic) Wings N Things finally opened their new restaurant in Escondido. I've been driving to the San Marcos location because I refuse/d to eat at the one off of El Norte Parkway anymore. The new restaurant is really nice inside, and the food was fresh and delicious. I got a 4 piece strip meal with medium sauce and it was perfect. I think they should add some more TVs throughout the restaurant so those that aren't at sitting at the bar can watch, as well. Other than that, it seems like they'll do good business and I plan to be part of it. read more

Called in for a pick up of 1 order of pizza sticks they said it was going to take 10-15 min ended up taking 45 min they move like snails when there is only 2 or 3 orders expect to get your food just as long as people walk in and order. I live down the street not the first time they take for Weber for orders, sometimes they will take that long and the food won't even be cooked! Ordered a meal for pickup, the gentleman on the phone was short, but I'll mark that up to the restaurant probably being busy. The woman behind the counter when I picked up my order was very friendly. I'm glad I checked my order before driving back home, they had forgotten to include breadsticks. The nice woman quickly made it correct by getting me them and an additional two. Let me start by saying I LOVE this restaurant. Only giving 2 stars today because of my last visit. Arrived at 8:10. Restaurant closes at 9 which we knew. After I ordered the food I ordered beers for my husband and I. He promptly said we're only doing to go orders but you could have one while you wait. I've never been to a dine in restaurant that would only let you buy to go orders when they clearly don't close for almost an hour. There were many other people dining in. I was totally shocked, cancelled my order and dumped over $100 across the street at Chili's. Very disappointed in the customer service. My family owns a restaurant and it's not protocol to stop dine in an hour before the restaurant closes. read more

Easily my favorite place for chicken strips. I alternate between medium sauce and garlic parmesan. I like spicy and all, I just really like how the medium sauce taste, plus I dip my breadsticks in it. I'll usually try a different beer, and for food, I'll occasionally get the epic fries! The only downside is that I ordered chicken buffalo fries and they were cold. Not sure why because I ate them immediately after I got them in my hand. This review covers our experiences with the 2 locations in Escondido but the 2 stars are for this location and this one visit only. We LOVE Epic Wings. Have for MANY years now. They have been our GO TO standard whenever any of our families crave wings and breadsticks! Doesn't matter if we're in Temecula, Chula, El Cajon (family is everywhere!) or home, there is no better place to get our fix for wings n 'sticks! I've even chosen EPIC as my bday dinner place so that says a lot! During the pandemic we started limiting our takeout and started cooking more at home. When we could, we'd do takeout from our long-standing Epic Wings location here but we had been getting disappointed in the quality and the lack of service over the past couple of years. We tip even when we pick up since we believe that food workers deserve more than minimum wage. We gave our previous location the chance to get back up to speed but were disappointed that our order would still be off somehow. We tend to order an extra dozen (or two) breadsticks with our orders. Sometimes they would forget the breadsticks that came with our meals. Many times the extra veggies we ordered would come with the wrong dressing. Or they would forget the extra sauce or the bread would be hard and over baked. The service workers weren't rude but they would just shrug off our comments and hand the bags over to us. So we just stopped going there. We were happy to see we have new one in Escondido and have been there several times. We have been pleased with this location! The staff is courteous and efficient. Whether we go in or phone in our order, they are very good about repeating our order for accuracy and we have been very satisfied with the service. The reason for this low rating is for the preparation of our wings this last visit. The breadsticks were perfectly baked and soft and buttery like we prefer, but the wings had quite a few feathers and hairs still attached. Normally the sauce would have covered this up but we ordered the sauce on the side this time and there were just too many feathers to ignore in this batch. Now, in thinking about it, these had to be put in the fryer that way and no one had noticed which makes me wonder why did that have to happen? And how many other subsequent batches went in and were sent out that way?!? I had just eaten a wing and commented on how many tiny crunchy bits they had! Then my son noticed the feathers, got grossed out, made a beeline to the bathroom and so we just stopped eating after that. Ruined movie night for us...Not the Epic experience we were planning as a night to remember. read more

Food is okay, even when you specify that you want well done wings its chances to that happening are slim to none. I also do not feel safe coming into this location if one of the managers an older man is not following safety guidelines and wearing a mask. I dont think ill be coming back, just for my safety and being unpleased not recieving what i asked for. read more

The first time we were here we waited over 25 minutes past the initial text stating out order was ready. Got home 15 minutes away to find we had no ranch on our buffalo fries. We were told a manger would call us and they never did. Today, Gave them another chance and got home to find no butter or garlic on my bread sticks. Very inconsistent here. read more

Well this time wasn't the greatest. We had horrible service and the employees didn't have the greatest attitudes. They were out of breadsticks, still charged for them and we didn't know this until we opened our meals and then had to ask the employees why we didn't get them with our meals? Not very good customer service. We asked for a refund and it was a complete hassle to try and get the measly $3 back. They could've given us a gift card to get the breadsticks the next time we come in, however there might not be a next time. Sad to say. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS LOCATION! First time I went to this place (pre-covid) they took 30 minutes to bring us our wings and when we finally got them they were cold. Second time there was a hair in our wings and they told us to bring it back in for a refund. They never refunded us and told us we needed to speak to their manager instead. We gave them our information for a manager to call us the following day and they never gave us a call. The location off of El Norte is WAYYY better quality. read more

I know that we should support our local businesses and I'm happy to do that, but I've had such a bad experience with this restaurant not just once, but twice. The 1st time I let it go because they had just opened, but this time I just couldn't. My wings were deformed, really odd not appetizing at all and dry, I did ask for extra crispy extra wet, but all I got was crispy. The bread sticks were really doughy and didn't have any seasoning at all, I mean literally nothing. I ended up throwing them away. We're not rich, but we're trying to help. My husband and I love Epic Wings and we usually go to the San Marcos location. This is the first time we try the Valley Parkway spot. I like to support businesses but I am so disappointed with our order and I hope they will improve. We ordered the buffalo fries with buffalo sauce and there was barely any buffalo sauce it was very dry, we asked for medium spice and it tasted mild, and there was barely any chicken. It was like a 5 year old put it all together and served it. We have ordered this in the past in other locations and it was amazing. read more

This place to begin with really needs to work with there management and customer service. I had waited for over 40 minutes for a simple hot wing plate and Buffalo fries. A few People who arrived after me with ordered 2x as much or equivalent to what I had placed on the spot received there order within a 30 minute window. I was very frustrated especially the workers there were gossiping in the back echoing throughout the store. I was more pissed at the fact that when I had asked for my refund they did not hesitate and would rather lose a customer to the store instead of offering something to upside the inconvenience. read more

I was so excited when they opened this new location. I went for the first time this weekend with my family and they definitely did not disappoint. Great vibes from all the employees.
