The wings taste good. The staff seem to have difficulty getting orders correct. It is frustrating when you are standing in front of them you placing your order. You state your order and they repeat back something you did not say. You restate your order. You are then met with a blank state so you repeat your order again. Fast forward to picking up your order. EXTREMELY BAD BUSINESS......we are a group of investigators working under contract with the State of California, and were planning a large business event. Our plans included a sizable order of chicken wings from Epic Wings, former Wings & Things. We went to their site, and concluded that we would order thirty (30) servings, (25-wings/12-breadsticks) at $19.99 per. Such would have costed roughly $600 + taxes. However, when we attempted to place an order, we learned that the price was not $19.99, but instead $32 per, increasing our expense to $960 + taxes. Such should be considered a significant difference. We called and spoke with several staff, including manager (Jose), whom have all stated that this matter has been raised with THE OWNERS, who seem not to be interested in fixing the problem. The horrifically outdated online menu has been such for quite some time. Almost seems like a matter of bait-&-switch. Lure in customers with false prices, then strike them with far more lucrative prices. Terrible way to treat customers. Following up with formal complaint to corporate office. Be aware. This Epic Wings N Things is a huge disappointment. They NEVER get the orders right. When I called to let them know that the order was wrong they told me to drive the food back at 8:45PM. Easy if you live around the corner. Than the manager said keep the Wings in the refrigerator till the next time I come in and needed proof they messed up. I have been going to wings n things for years now. I just moved to Oceanside and was craving. I placed my order over the phone I always get the same thing: 6 bone-in wings lemon pepper with mild sauce mixed . It took me about 15 min to drive there picked up and then 15 minutes to get home. When I got home and opened up the box I was shocked to find a pool of GREASE ( see my attached pics) I have never seen anything like this . I couldn't even taste the sauce just grease. I've been going to wings n things since 2002, and I love it. I've frequented multiple locations over the years, this is just the one closest to me at the time of posting this. My only complaint is when you ask for it extra wet, it always comes out being more like extra dry. So when I bring it home I always have to add some Frank's or something to compensate. This applies to all of the locations I've been to (what's it cost, like 5/10 cents to add some extra sauce?); otherwise, I would've given 5 stars to all locations. read more

This location is known for being extremely slow. However, last night was ridiculous. Waited at the counter for about 6-7 minutes for my order to be taken. Serval staff members were walking behind the counter and no one had the curtesy to say that I will be helped shortly. I was helped by a rather rude young man last night. I have been coming to this Wings and Things location for almost 10 years and it's my favorite wing spot in San Diego. I go for the mild wings as even the mild is spicy and not too hot where I can't enjoy my food. They have added extra flavors like garlic , BBQ, honey BBQ, etc; but it should be noted they mix those flavors with the mild, medium, or hot. Most my friends order strips or boneless pieces which seem to be large portions and not as messy to eat as the wings. I always get the wings, the wings have crisp edges and our 'finger licking good'. All plates are served with bread sticks , celery , carrot sticks, and ranch or blue cheese. The bread sticks are warm, have a bit of melted butter and salt on the top. The atmosphere is very casual as you walk to the register order, take a number, then pick up your tray when your number is called. This is my favorite place for wings. The quality is good and I like that the wings are not super tiny or dried out like some places. I've had the medium buffalo, sweet chili, mango habanero, and lemon pepper. The flavors are rich and addicting. The breadstick is a winner too, because it like melts in your mouth when you bite into it. I can taste the garlic and salt. The only thing I was not too crazy about is the buffalo chicken fries.
