The guacamole and grilled onions were more than enough moisture. They will provide the lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo on the side if requested. The cleanliness of the location was also unacceptable. The tables were dirty, and no one came by to wipe them down. The trash cans were overflowing, and when my daughter needed to use the restroom, there was paper all over the floor. To make matters worse, the ice machine was not working, and customers were expected to get ice from a large bucket instead. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. I hope management addresses the customer service, cleanliness, and maintenance issues because customers deserve a much better experience, especially because the problem isn't the food, it's the customer service and cleanliness.

I've noticed a trend with restaurant establishments on base (I've been here for almost 20 years now, so I think I can say something about it!), they open up, become popular and then probably know that they are "elite" in the limited choices for people who live on base (especially those in the barracks w/limited transportation)-there is definitely not much to choose from. Then, it seems the quality and service just start to derail, sadly, because again, like I said it seems they probably think they are in a "secure" spot to have the business. Anyway, this time around I got a regular bowl with salmon, tuna, shrimp, and mixed greens only. There are only three sauces to choose from so, went with the two 2 out the 3, which were tasty enough. The fish did taste fresh but for 17 bucks for a regular bowl, I would expect serving size to be more. I don't know if I can bring myself to spend 16 bucks on a smaller portion than most other Poké bowl places off base that have a bigger portion size for about the same price, or even just for a dollar more. Also, the girl that was putting my bowl together was definitely rushing me (note: there was not a huge line behind me). It would've been nice of her to ask something like if I had ever been in before, so that maybe she could offer to help me along? Customer service goes a long way people.

Restaurant has always been clean and very cool decor. We stopped wasting money on their salads because they took away the ingredients that made their salads yummy. It also didn't look fresh at all and honestly seemed like it had been sitting for too long. I stopped eating it because I was concerned that the meat might have gone bad. Even the sauces/condiments tasted completely different from what I've had at other Maui Hawaiian BBQ locations. I've eaten at this chain before and never experienced anything like this. The overall food quality was unacceptable, especially when it comes to freshness and food safety. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

But since it's been reported months ago by me and others I know go there a lot and now that guy, I didn't feel the need to go back. So I hope since it's been reported again it gets fixed.
