Wasn't until I got home, did I realize he did not treat it. So, I ended up setting another appointment with another dermatologist as the spot was biopsied to be Basil Cell Cancer. Remember, this is why I was referred to his office! How in the world could he miss it??? It gets even better............ He missed another spot on my forearm that was also biopsied, and it turned out to be Squamous Cell Cancer. Ended up seeing a third Dermatologist who performed MOHL's Surgery to remove the growth he completely missed. Believe it or not, if that isn't enough to stay away...... He was not in my network so instead of paying my normal deductible, he charged me full price as my insurance does not cover out of network physicians. My opinion is low class for not telling me my insurance was not valid at that office, also if the cancer had not been caught and spread? Not cool! Any good attorneys out there? Made several mistakes. Transferred to the Denton office and felt like they rushed the whole time plus the construction issues headered driving there. Now they have have a new hustle which is not OK. They want you to come every 3 months. According to the Journal of The American Association of Dermatology: "The majority of dermatologists reported screening patients at least every 2 to 3 years if not annually. In addition, those at increased risk of skin cancer were predominantly screened at least annually, if not every 6 months." Definitely a hustle based on increasing income. Time to leave. Pretty obvious their goal was money. Gotten way too corporate.
