Epiphany is a gem of a bakery. Every single thing in here is gluten free. One of the largest varieties of gf pastries I have seen. From savory to sweet, there truly is something for everyone. The bagel was soft and super flavorful. Unlike many gf bagels it was not crumbly or dry. The cinnamon roll and coffee cake were perfectly sweet and delicious. In addition to the food, the coffee was great. Service was friendly and super helpful in guiding you to the right choices for you. For my spouse Therese H. on vacation, finding a good GF Bakery is a first-morning high-priority quest. According to online reviews, E-GF-B appeared to be the best option. We arrived to what was a pleasant space, nearly fully occupied, but not particularly loud at 10:30 a.m. We took our turn at the counter, and received great service. In the end, Therese walked away with several pastries. I had my eye on the cinnamon roll. I am a wheat-eater, and try to resist sneaking things out of her pastry box. I do not have any special diet needs, but I was told this place is so good that regardless, I would enjoy eating here since I love baked goods. I disagree. The taste was good, the textures were a little off compared to traditional baked goods. Were they edible? Absolutely! But would I ever choose this over a regular baked good? Definitely not. The cinnamon roll... the dough more like a breakfast biscuit consistency and the cinnamon had a weird sticky, stretchy quality that looked odd to eat. The flavor was enjoyable, but overall it just left me wanting more. (Also, $8 for a single cinnamon roll??) The cookie I had (much more reasonable at $5) was SO GOOD, arguably a reason on its own to return. So sweet but perfect with a cup of coffee. I also want to mention that the staff were great! And they helped explain what the items were and made me feel confident in my purchases, so kudos to them! And, if you do have special diet needs, and you've made it to the end of this review, I DO recommend you try it. I'm sure compared to most places, this place is hitting it out of the park and like I said, flavors are good, so I'm sure you'll enjoy. read more

The cupcake I got was a 5/5, really good! I rated them a 4/5 because there's no prices listed. I had to ask about every item I was interested in and that made me a little bit uncomfortable after the 2nd or 3rd ask. I probably would have bought more if prices were listed and I could mentally add my total together. I'm a teacher so money is always a consideration but asking was super uncomfortable because I felt like I was locked in with the worker, rather than getting to browse independently and get her attention once I felt ready. This is a very cute little Cafe near NCH. The ambiance is more "outdoor looking romance" without it being too kitschy. The service was stellar cause I had QUESTIONS. He answered them all and gave me some great information to read. Now the food, we all know gluten free food has changed over the years and this place is gluten free safe. Nothing in this cafe has gluten. There is keto, dairy free and vegan choices. My cinnamon roll is gluten dairy free. So far I have no reactions so it tells me it's kitchen safe. We come here every year when we visit. Love the ambiance, service and food. This time we tried the cinnamon rolls (they even heat them up for you and have a gf/dairy free option!), St. Patrick's Day red velvet donut, apple turnover, and cream puff. Everything was delicious! The apple turnover was actually flakey (such a difficult texture to achieve gluten free - it was amazing!). I've been craving a Long John for over 20 years, and I think their cream puff was waaaay better than a Long John could ever be. It melts in your mouth and is hands down the best thing I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this place. Oh! And my mom bought a chocolate dairy free/gluten free cake that was beautiful. What an amazing place! The perfect spot for anyone with celiac or gluten intolerance like me. Delicious delicious delicious! The staff was so nice and explained everything to first-timers. The smell of the bakery alone makes you hungry, and not only for something sweet. Love this bakery and their totally gluten free menu. The cinnamon rolls are fantastic, especially when heated up. My favorite is the Majestic Matthew breakfast sandwich on the brioche with egg, bacon, and cream cheese (pictured here). Speaking from experience, perfecting gluten free bread is a terribly difficult task. However, they've nailed it at this bakery. The brioche is unreal! So delicate, fluffy, with the hint of sweetness. I will also recommend the paleo roll for the sandwiches! Paleo bread is typically extremely dense, but that is not the case here. It's still light enough to make an enjoyable sandwich and it has a wonderful savory flavor to it. Only reason I knocked off a star is that it has taken 20+ minutes to get a basic to-go breakfast sandwich every time I've visited. I know they're extremely busy - but definitely take this into account if stopping in for a to-go order! Otherwise, will recommend this bakery 100x over. read more

I am gluten free, and unfortunately, I also need to avoid almonds, which Epiphany does use in many of their products....but not in their vegan versions, so that was the option that was available to me. This allowed me to try their vegan bagels, which were delicious, and my husband and I ordered two vegan crust pizzas, however the toppings were not. The cook even came out to verify whether we were vegan or not, which was nice. He is very thorough and kind. We ordered the "Right on Man" and the "Best Friends" pizzas. They were both great, but the "Right on Man" stole the show. One of the best I've had. I can't really explain it. It was made with simple ingredients, but the freshness or the combo itself was just right. I don't know, but I'm already looking forward to ordering it again. Never change this recipe, Epiphany - it's perfect! The place is small, but there is some outdoor seating, and everything is worth the wait, trust me. Everyone is really nice and accommodating, willing to answer questions and help you find what you want. There's no downside here. The food is pretty solid, I took my very excited wife who has Celiac's to get a breakfast of her dreams and sweets to go. The place is really popular, I can tell that Ruth has built some amazing connections with people. I didn't even really interact with her and I could tell she gets people. I wish I could say the same about the entire staff. Being a part of the LGBT community, my wife and I both felt as though the shorter blonde woman did not want to serve us. I don't think we could get her to crack a smile despite being grateful for their service. Maybe it's just RBF, but like come on, we don't bite. It really put a damper on our morning to feel so unwelcome, especially considering both of us identify as Christians. Self serve silverware etc. I wouldn't call it a restaurant as a place to enjoy whatever you purchased behind the counter. We ordered the paleo waffles - mine with blueberries. The waffle was soft, it crispy. Which I thought would affect the flavor. Not in the least. Loved my breakfast! We ordered multiple things to go. The cupcakes were just okay. We've had too many amazing gf cupcakes in our travels elsewhere. That said, we also ordered a lemon loaf and it didn't disappoint. Same for the chocolate chip cookies.
