My kids like this coffee so we went together on Sunday morning. There were very few people inside, nobody ordering except us. We ordered mix of drinks, 4 together ,my tea was done right away. And then... we waited 20 minutes without any drinks prepared for us. After that I asked what is happening as there is literally no one ordering and only 1 person picking up online order. was told - we have many online orders we need to prepare! well, not only that is not an excuse with 2 baristas in empty store, but also after my question our drinks were out in 2 minutes... by other reviews I see the issue with wait time is a continuing problem so maybe the manager has some work to do on this topic. read more

He popped up straight into my afternoon like a brand new LITERAL South Park character with that ridiculously cute beanie of his with the color of my favorite Pinot Noir! The delivery time was quite good for the 4 Americanos I ordered, given the pending items they were already working on for quite an unanticipated crowd in this particular area given; it was Saturday afternoon. After reading the comments here about the service being lackluster, I might as well add to the poor reviews about the staff at this location. I come here when I crave for good coffee, bc there's only a few good coffee shops in the area. And also for their chocolate frangi twist. This is the second time the same experience happened to me at this very location. The guy who took my order bagged it after I paid. My drink came 10 minutes after I placed my order, and when I asked about my twist the barista who handed me my drink asked about it and there it was still sitting in the case. The guy who took my order placed it on the kitchen counter, maybe waiting for someone else to warm it up as there were a few of them in the kitchen as well as the front of house too. I waited 7 minutes and went to the register to ask about my twist again, and this time it was this barista with long unkempt hair who found it still sitting on the counter so he asked for it to be warmed up. I waited another 5-7 minutes and then asked this time to just take it out of the warmer as I found it so ridiculous having to wait this long for a pastry that could've been warmed up in 2 minutes. The barista with the long unkempt hair yelled at me saying "it's being warmed up right now!" I said I'd rather just take it even if it's not warm, and he went running to the kitchen and came back almost tossing the bag to me. I was gonna bring it up to their manager's attention, but I kept my cool and thought it was too early in the morning for that. I left the store irritated bc no one even apologized for the very long wait and for the rudeness of that barista with long hair (I wish I got his name). And just like the others here who notice the employees' demeanor, I'm sure they could use some retraining on basic guest service skills to be better with their customers. After all, they work in the service industry - it just makes sense that providing good customer service should be their top priority. read more

I've been to Equator Coffee before in Sausalito, and I fell in love with their matcha latte. So imagine how excited I was to find that they had a location in Burlingame as well! I got a decaf almond milk cappucino when I visited. The crema was just PERFECT. I also love that they offer Califia as their almond milk alternative. (Usually, I'm not a fan of other almond milk brands, but Califia for me always hits the spot.) Cannot wait to come back here again! read more

Thumbs up for a new coffee spot in Burlingame. I was requesting one (to the universe) for so long, and my wish was granted. Pretty laid back spot with a little indoor seating and plenty outdoors. Mostly Facebook people...and me LOL. The iced latte really smooth. All the special coffee drinks sound really yummy. The coffee is really good quality. My friend had a fritttata sandwich which she said was delish (and looked that way) and also pretty sizeable. Overall, I'm happy with what the magical development fairy brought. read more

What did you first miss the most when you stopped working in SF? For me, it was all the good coffee spots and eateries there were in walking distance from my office. When I saw that Equator opened up in Burlingame, it got me thinking about early morning caramel lattes at the 2nd Street LinkedIn building location. While the Burlingame location doesn't have the caramel lattes nor the Early Bird tacos, they still have a lot of their signature drinks on the menu. I had hubs download the app for $5 off plus ordering ahead is always easier. He got the 16oz vanilla latte and I got the 10oz. We also shared a veggie frittata breakfast sandwich. The quoted time was about 5-7 minutes. Parking is in the back and they have some designated spots for Equator. One critique I have is that there's no label or writing on our order. There's a small sign to the left of the counter that says "online orders" but we weren't sure if the two coffees and sandwich were ours. We had to wait for one of the three employees to confirm if it was. I'm sure it's sleepy in the area since the building is so new and I believe the only tenant is Facebook Oculus and it was on a weekend, but still. I can see this being a disaster especially when business picks up. They have a small cute seating area right outside of their door but wanting more space we opted to sit a few steps away in the building's outdoor seating area. It's a nice new development with a view of the bay further down and the calmness of planes going by. I forgot to take a pic of our veggie frittata breakfast sandwich but it was heavy. I'm not sure how one person could eat all of it as I was stuffed. It was pretty healthy though as it was served on flax seed sourdough. My husband said he felt that the spicy aioli was overwhelming as it overpowered the avocado and eggs and other veggies. I agree that it was the most prominent flavor but at least wasn't super spicy, and I could still taste some of the veggies! Their vanilla latte was smooth and didn't taste artificial at all. On a hot morning I'll definitely change it up and get a shakerato or an iced latte. Being close to a bay trail it does get a little windy and the buildings offer shade. Equator is a welcome addition to Burlingame. We always take advantage of online ordering (we're parents so we try to be planners) so I just hope in the near future they'll find a way to write/label names down or have some other method of indicating orders at pick up. read more

The coffee is delicious here! I got the seasonal pumpkin latte, which originally wasn't as strong as I thought and let the barista know.. he happily re-made one for me which was perfect. Not overly sweet. Smooth and rich. I originally fell in love with Equator coffee about 10 years ago when I randomly found a bag of these coffee beans at a house we rented out--since then, my eyes always light up whenever I come across an Equator shop (usually at the airport). The pastries are so so.. well I'm only basing this on my current experience (almond croissant). Although they warmer it up, the middle was still cold upon eating it. It's a bit dense and not as flaky/moist as I like them. Maybe it wasn't made same day?! Not sure but I wouldn't get it again. I'll be back for the coffee only. Awesome staff--super friendly and efficient. 5 stars despite the disappointment of the almond croissant. read more

This is a really awesome little coffee shop by the water. Located inside this office park (I think Facebook? Not sure). I was staying at a hotel nearby, read the reviews and it was within walking distance, so thought I'd give it a try. Wow wow wow delicious. This place is located in the middle of the Meta campus, so that's kinda fun too, seeing all the young computer brainiacs wandering about. But I digress - the coffee and food here is fantastic. I had a hot almond milk latte, I think it was the best one I have ever had! The coffee is rich and smooth and flavorful, I was really delighted. So I had an iced latte afterwards ~ just as good :-). I also had their vegetable frittata sandwich with prosciutto, and it was a knockout! Their bread is amazing, and the balance of flavors just right, completely delicious. I saw someone else eating avocado toast, and it looked amazing also. They also have an interesting selection of specialty and flavored coffees as well as pastries, and all I can say is, I will be going back! FYI, they have a lovely patio and this is a dog-friendly establishment, they even have a jar of dog biscuits on the self-help counter for your pooch's pleasure. The staff was super friendly, and more than willing to describe and discuss the coffee options, tea too! Clean, organized and just perfect for your coffee/tea cravings. We often go here. The coffee is always excellent! Would give them 4.5 stars for the coffee/pastry but only 2 stars overall for long wait and rude customer service! Usually there is a wait and they post it outside so the regular customers like me knows, and are patient. However, today we came at the open and they took my order as usual. First, there were two of us but the guy only took my order, walked to the kitchen and did not even acknowledged the person with me. Then he came back after a few minutes to take my companion's order. Then, a few more minutes a wave of customers came in. They took their order. They made their orders and had given to the 5 people who came after me and they still had not given me my coffee! When, I asked the guys said, "You all came at the same time!" with rude tone. Ended waiting 25 minutes for my coffee. They need a better system to organize the orders. A hidden gem and a life saver! Ok I am definitely a coffee snob and I'd rather make my own coffee than buy anywhere... but this place, they know how to make proper coffee!!! Excellent quality beans is where it starts. And the baristas know what they're doing! Super friendly and welcoming atmosphere. My son and I love to come here in between soccer practices. There are non-coffee drinks for him to get. The pastries are phenomenal. Seriously I've tried everything and will keep coming back. It's super clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. Came here on a Saturday around 11am. There was a good amount of seating available for 2. The line moved at a comfortable pace and the menu is pretty straight forward. I ordered a Roobios Chai which was not overly sweet and had great flavor. I ordered the turkey panini which was much better than I expected for a coffee shop. The bread, turkey and lettuce tasted very fresh and good quality. Seating inside was fuller but not very loud. The baristas here are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back the only thing is that good coffee takes time! So if you're in a hurry I wouldn't recommend coming here because the coffee wait can be 10-15 minutes sometimes. While on a work trip with my partner, we stayed at the Hilton in Burlingame. This coffee show was within walking distance of the hotel. The walk there was beautiful, you can see lots of trees and water. The coffee shop itself was quaint but still provided lots of room to either sit inside or outside. As for the coffee, they had a lot of variety. I picked up the blackberry cold brew and a lavender latte. They were both delicious and beautiful. The blackberry cold brew was amazing, I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The flavor of the lavender latte was a little more on the subtle side but it was still nice and creamy with a special coffee kick. read more

Everything has been a small disappointment so far. They're pretty consistent in this lol. They also have "specialty" coffees like some single-origin pour overs that start at $7 and go all the way to almost $10.
