I came here through ClassPass to try Mat Pilates for the first time. The studio is tucked away in the corner of a plaza, but still easy to find. The first thing I noticed was that the air had a musty smell -- kind of like an old carpet -- which made the space feel a bit stuffy and dusty. It was also pretty warm inside. That said, the instructor, Amy, was lovely! The flow of the class was smooth and easy to follow, but still provided a solid workout. I really appreciated that Amy took the time to correct our form and offer hands-on guidance throughout the session. I learned a lot from the class and even picked up some great stretching techniques to use at home. My spine and back felt so relaxed afterward! read more

Discovered this center through ClassPass and have taken a few mat pilates classes with Angela. I love that she is doing the entire workout with us. She is so encouraging, motivating, and I love her music playlist. She also adjusts the workout based on your strength and ability which I truly appreciate. Just had my 2nd reformer class here and I am so glad I came to this place. I used to go to a different studio...I should have just spent my money here. The instructors George and Kevin are excellent! They really challenge you, but keep the classes light and fun. I've never sweat this much in a pilates class! Highly recommend!!! My husband also goes to George for his back issues and he says he already feels a marked improvement in his back. After just one reformer class!!! Place is clean and people are friendly. My husband and I attended Equilibrium's pilates mat body sculpt class this past Saturday, which was held outdoors at a local park due to COVID restrictions. Of course we would pick the hottest day of the year to attend an outdoor class lol but it was well worth it. The instructor, Lauren, was nice and made me feel very comfortable...she explained everything clearly she made the class challenging but not so challenging that it was impossible to keep up, which always leaves me feeling like I've wasted my time and money whenever I attend a class like that. We liked the class so much that we are already planning to go back for another one. We're also interested in some of the other classes that Equilibrium offers but we're not sure because we don't really know much about different types of pilates lol. If we feel brave enough to do so, I'll be sure to update my review to reflect that. read more

Clean, instructor was nice. They had reformers but be I used my class pass I was unable to use the reformer. I would go back.

Have been going to Equilibrium fir months. Live the reformer pilates classes. Recently Taylor has been our instructor and she is utterly fabulous she shows you how to sit correctly and how to breathe right. Very impressed with her teaching skills. I had been wanting to try Pilates for a couple of years, & about 4 months ago I finally decided to invest in myself & give Pilates a try. Well, I'm now hooked! I LOVE this place because the classes are small, which then makes it easy for the instructor to ensure that everyone is using correct posture, breathing, etc. In previous years, I've tried other forms of exercise, but have never fully enjoyed "gym" workouts, hence I'd stop going to the gym. However, with Pilates ~ it's my favorite part of my day...I look forward to the workout. Most of the reformer classes I've attended have been with Taylor who is knowledgeable, patient, explains what a pose should feel like when first teaching a new pose/exercise...and makes me feel very comfortable & at ease. I've also attended a couple of classes with George who is also great. Taylor once said something that helped me with the poses, "it's a body & mind connection", & once I was able to conquer the "C-curve", what she said made perfect sense. I love that Taylor's demeanor is calm & confident...it really helps maintain a very positive energy during the sessions. I'm 100% hooked & am glad that the location is near by & the cost is reasonable (an investment in me). It's a form of meditation for me & so grateful I get to experience this great form of exercise. read more

I started pilates because I wanted more flexibility, get back in shape, and fix my posture. Taylor was my instructor and she was just amazing. She makes sure that you are using the right muscle and breathing the correct way with each move. She modifies each move, adjusts the level for you, and she is so patient. She models the moves and explains so well. I have been going here for a few months and other people already noticed the difference in my body and posture. The place is always kept clean. Love this place! I was new to Pilates, especially the reformer, but David took great care to put me at ease and worked with me in creating a program that pushed me in all the right directions, without ever causing me pain. The hour flew by and I learned so much. I was so fired up about how great Pilates was that I went home and bought the intro package and convinced by husband to do the same! Our back issues are so different, yet, Pilates slowly seems to be correcting those "issues" while giving us a great workout everytime. I'm hooked. This is a great place--and David knows his stuff. Staff is amazing; warm, energetic, personable and knowledgeable! Many different types of apparatus, weights and bands. Hallee was our instructor and she took her time with us and explained everything as we were moving along. Plan to go back and take more classes. I tried Pilates suffering from the old age blues and scoliosis. My back is now much straighter, I measured 3/4 of an inch taller at the Doctors office. Pilates is very specific in its approach. Each muscle group is worked with real focus. What does and does not engage became obvious as did the over compensating that my body had done over the years just to keep moving forward. Phyllis Douglass is the owner and my personal trainer. She clearly can do magic because now I have a new body, a new body for an old gal. Quite amazing that such a thing could even happen. I have tried the gym and had to stop because what muscles were working got so strong that they pulled the spine out of alighnment, Ouch!! I tried yoga but my arms were so locked up from all the years of massage that I have done that stretching was counter productive and very painful. Pilates is the way to go if you need precise, focused, and specific attention to each muscle and how it works in relation to the entire body. It is quite effective and lovely. With Phyllis it does get into Magic because she can and does draw on her many skill sets she has as a Shaman. read more

I studied yoga with Rachel for 3 years and she is an amazing teacher. Her classes are shaped by her love and knowledge of yoga, pilates and music. She is aware of different needs and limitations, and always provided modifications and made me feel comfortable to meet my body where it was at. I left class feeling energized, relaxed and challenged. I have since moved to the UK, but my home practice continues to be shaped by the lessons I learned from Rachel. I am thrilled that she is now doing a series of podcasts. On days that I need a bit of guiding or pacing in my practice, whether it be to help me relax or challenge myself, Rachel's podcasts transport me back to her yoga studio and help me ground myself again in my practice. read more
