I've been told by contractors that my house is difficult to wire. 2 different companies I interviewed for this job told me that to avoid making many access holes in walls, I would therefore have to go with wireless cameras. Wireless cameras are easier to install, but are much more expensive and can fail more due to bad weather etc. The cost of a wireless 4-camera set up with dvr and monitor would be $6,000. John Puga of Chicagoland Wiring, Inc came in, assessed the situation and came up with a better solution immediately. He told me he could install 4 wired cameras easily and in 2 days. The solution John came up with that no one else did was to run a wire along the outside of the side of the house. The side is not seen at all due to the neighbor house being so close, the wire could easily be tucked under a plank of siding and I didn't need to spend an arm and a leg on hardware! John started the installation on the day that worked best for me. He installed all the cameras in one day while I was at work. He entirely cleaned up any mess he made--the only evidence he had been there were the 4 new cameras and dv installed. John came the next day and programed the whole system and left detailed instructions for how we could get the images on our computers, smart phones and tablets. I could not more highly recommend John Puga and Chicagoland Wiring, Inc.

When we asked an employee (I think his name was Hector), about whether or not the particular hard drive we were looking at would be right for its intended use, he was able to answer our questions. When we checked out, the cashier asked us a bunch of questions about what we were buying and if we had any questions. We asked her about protecting devices from static electricity, and she didn't have a clue about anything beyond scanning purchases and pushing the extended warranty plans. If you have questions about items here, just ask one of the employees...not a cashier. Overall, this is a nice clean store. Don't expect to find everything you're looking for. But if you need basic accessories and gaming stuff, this place has all of that.
