First time ever having a bruise in my arm in 49 years. This was made by a 20 year veteran. I've even donated plasma.

Very clean facility. No wait when I arrived Sunday evening after 5pm. The staff were all extremely kind and warm making this unerving experience as pleasant as possible. Check in was ver fast without delay. I was made to feel very comfortable but was allowed to rest. Dr.Mohammed was extremely attentive to my concerns as was the intake nurse. Smaller more intimate ER setting took the edge off too. The facility was equipped with everything to assist with any emergent situation. I was hesitant to go as I thought this facility was more of an urgent care, it was much better than that. Such a good experience overall and despite my being there for my health concern.

Front staff awesome! As for the doctor, if I am able to give no stars I would, she was not personable and was rude. Don't get me wrong this place is my go to ER, never had any problems but this most recent visit totally thumbs down! Went in for a poss corneal abrasion, eye was just painful unable to keep eye open and keep eye closed something was in there!!!, sensitive to light, red, puffy and swollen, mind you doc was told something flew in eye and there was constant rubbing there after. Doctor(s),there was also a resident, did the numbing, then the dye, said there is nothing obvious in the eye and called it conjuctivitis. Given antibiotics told to follow up with a Ophthalmologist (FYI, was given a name and when I called it wasn't even an Ophthalmologist) ....after the visit went home too ibuprofen and fell asleep. Eye pain was better but all the other symptoms was still there. I was able to look in my and and there was something obviously in my iris, how could the ER have missed this?! I immediately called the number that was recommended, no answer after many tries and then when I finally got thru it was a PCP office. Luckily I was able to find and Ophthalmologist to see me within the hour and then it was confirmed, rust was lodged in my eye. It was taken out. As for the ER this could of been bad , could of ended up blind!

5 minute interaction with doc to get a RX refill and I got charged $1,157.

Dr Wu was very helpful and knowledgeable yet personable. Dr Patel is definitely charismatic, personable and helpful. The nursing staff were genuinely caring especially Yessica, Haylee, Sherilyn. Sherilyn took care of me with zero signs of annoyance every time while rapidly assisting me and genuine cared for my well being as a person. When I vomited, she was patient and genuinely caring. She rapidly yet constantly provided me with food when I asked for food after no solid food for approx 24h. Haylee stood out by how much she cares for her patients in making sure I was fed which is a big deal because I hadn't had a meal in over 24 hours. Though a nurse in training, Southern Hills would be unwise to not hire Haylee as a nurse when the opportunity arises. Yessica, just wow. The nurse that everyone would want. She acted like a patient advocate and helped in make sure surgery heard my concerns. While helping me she seemed genuinely concerned. So Yessica I would say: efficient, patient, professional and a true patient advocate (aka nurse). Southern Hill is very fortunate to have her. Would I return as a patient in need. Yes.

"Wave that wand and you're all better!"…read more My visit to this hospital is routine for me. I'm here as a guest. Just an observation to drive someone back to their abode. We had to check in and get ready for surgery. The process can be completed prior to your procedure for best results. The patient only waited less than an hour before being taken back . Thank you to the staff for all their assistance and support. After the patient went back, while during prep process we were allowed to come back to give them love and support. Thank you to the staff for allowing us to see the patient before the surgery. It means so much . The nurse staff was absolutely amazing. So enthusiastic and encouraging. That's the attitude that you need in the morning. While awaiting the phone call from the hospital staff their is a cafeteria to enjoy some small pleasure until you have to go . We all seem to gather around the food. The kitchen staff were so friendly. They serve breakfast in the early morning and it's pretty epic . They have a great selection of fresh fruit. It's all the good stuff . Close by is coffee and other treats just across the street. The hospital itself is historic because of its roots in Catholic tradition and religious thought. You are able to learn so much just by looking around and reading the wall, literally. You are able to visit the chapel and sit for a while and gather your thoughts. Walk around and experience the tranquility of the healing garden. They celebrate you believing that all will be fine. Sometimes we need extra encouragement to keep the light and peace of joy flowing. Let kindness be your spark. All the joy and happiness that came from the individuals here was a shared experience and blessing thank you.

They tried to charge her $1,300. That's for squeezing her foot and take an X ray. I work in sales, and this office was no different than where I work. Everyone waiting for their commission, and using phrasing and tonality. "Batabeem bataboom, let's get an x ray and get you on your way, how does that sound?" And then boom, $1300. I asked why $1300, the "closer" at the front desk spoke gibberish. I called it a scam, and she got defensive and slipped her tongue big time. She said "well I don't know what you did in there", so I said "then why don't you find out before charging us???" At that moment the nurse came running and said to the "closer" "no, just one." One picture that is. AND DROPPED THE PRICE TO $345!!! I tried to get out of the closer how many pictures she had tried to charge us for, she rambled her way out of an answer like a used car sales lady, 3 times in a row. She was trained to use words like "deposit" (as if they would ever reimburse it) and co-pay and just a lot of bs. You tell me, if a bill can go from $1300 to $345, was the initial attempt not a scam attempt? They take advantage of the elderly, especially if they're tourists with travel insurance. They will over charge, trying to leave it up to my mom to ever get any of that money back. And on top of it all they call themselves Dignity. On their wall they have a poster urging people not to cuss them out. To not use foul language towards them. I did not, but it's pretty clear they have experienced that a lot. Enough to occupy a wall just for that. What a joke of a sales group.

We rushed in after my LO had a seizure, and from the moment we walked through the doors, everyone moved quickly. Check-in was efficient, and we were brought back to a room almost immediately. As a parent, that meant everything. Dr. Lee and our nurse took the time to thoroughly assess my LO and asked thoughtful questions to understand what happened (even when my LO was screaming/crying). Dr. Lee didn't make us feel rushed at all. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and gave me the reassurance I desperately needed during such a scary moment. What stood out most was his bedside manner. After my LO had to get a finger prick, Dr. Lee brought him a Popsicle. Before handing it to him, he wiped the ice crystals off so it wouldn't be too cold on his lips and tucked a napkin under his legs to keep him clean while he ate. Those small acts of kindness spoke volumes about the level of care he provides. It wasn't just about treating a medical condition--it was about caring for my child as a person. He also kept us a little longer to make sure my little one remained stable before sending us home, and he made sure I fully understood the diagnosis, what to watch for, and what our next steps were. The ER itself was clean, calm, and not overcrowded, which helped make an already stressful situation a little less overwhelming. The gentleman at the front desk was also kind and efficient during both check-in and discharge. To Dr. Lee, our nurse, and the front desk staff--thank you. I wish I had gotten everyone's names because you all made one of the scariest days of my life feel manageable. I left feeling heard, supported, and confident that my child received exceptional care.
