Dr Wu was very helpful and knowledgeable yet personable. Dr Patel is definitely charismatic, personable and helpful. The nursing staff were genuinely caring especially Yessica, Haylee, Sherilyn. Sherilyn took care of me with zero signs of annoyance every time while rapidly assisting me and genuine cared for my well being as a person. When I vomited, she was patient and genuinely caring. She rapidly yet constantly provided me with food when I asked for food after no solid food for approx 24h. Haylee stood out by how much she cares for her patients in making sure I was fed which is a big deal because I hadn't had a meal in over 24 hours. Though a nurse in training, Southern Hills would be unwise to not hire Haylee as a nurse when the opportunity arises. Yessica, just wow. The nurse that everyone would want. She acted like a patient advocate and helped in make sure surgery heard my concerns. While helping me she seemed genuinely concerned. So Yessica I would say: efficient, patient, professional and a true patient advocate (aka nurse). Southern Hill is very fortunate to have her. Would I return as a patient in need. Yes.

Everyone on the second floor was professional, compassionate, and kind throughout my stay. I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Roa, Dr. Rebentish, the nurses Joseph, Sonny, Sarah, Jessica, Megan, and Michelle, their assistants, Alma from housekeeping, the Emergency Room staff, and everyone who played a part in my care. Your dedication, kindness, and commitment helped me through my recovery, and I will never forget the support I received. Thank you for treating me with such respect and compassion. May God bless you all abundantly for the wonderful work you do every day. Life is beautiful. Olivia Nicole Espinoza

"Wave that wand and you're all better!"…read more My visit to this hospital is routine for me. I'm here as a guest. Just an observation to drive someone back to their abode. We had to check in and get ready for surgery. The process can be completed prior to your procedure for best results. The patient only waited less than an hour before being taken back . Thank you to the staff for all their assistance and support. After the patient went back, while during prep process we were allowed to come back to give them love and support. Thank you to the staff for allowing us to see the patient before the surgery. It means so much . The nurse staff was absolutely amazing. So enthusiastic and encouraging. That's the attitude that you need in the morning. While awaiting the phone call from the hospital staff their is a cafeteria to enjoy some small pleasure until you have to go . We all seem to gather around the food. The kitchen staff were so friendly. They serve breakfast in the early morning and it's pretty epic . They have a great selection of fresh fruit. It's all the good stuff . Close by is coffee and other treats just across the street. The hospital itself is historic because of its roots in Catholic tradition and religious thought. You are able to learn so much just by looking around and reading the wall, literally. You are able to visit the chapel and sit for a while and gather your thoughts. Walk around and experience the tranquility of the healing garden. They celebrate you believing that all will be fine. Sometimes we need extra encouragement to keep the light and peace of joy flowing. Let kindness be your spark. All the joy and happiness that came from the individuals here was a shared experience and blessing thank you.

They tried to charge her $1,300. That's for squeezing her foot and take an X ray. I work in sales, and this office was no different than where I work. Everyone waiting for their commission, and using phrasing and tonality. "Batabeem bataboom, let's get an x ray and get you on your way, how does that sound?" And then boom, $1300. I asked why $1300, the "closer" at the front desk spoke gibberish. I called it a scam, and she got defensive and slipped her tongue big time. She said "well I don't know what you did in there", so I said "then why don't you find out before charging us???" At that moment the nurse came running and said to the "closer" "no, just one." One picture that is. AND DROPPED THE PRICE TO $345!!! I tried to get out of the closer how many pictures she had tried to charge us for, she rambled her way out of an answer like a used car sales lady, 3 times in a row. She was trained to use words like "deposit" (as if they would ever reimburse it) and co-pay and just a lot of bs. You tell me, if a bill can go from $1300 to $345, was the initial attempt not a scam attempt? They take advantage of the elderly, especially if they're tourists with travel insurance. They will over charge, trying to leave it up to my mom to ever get any of that money back. And on top of it all they call themselves Dignity. On their wall they have a poster urging people not to cuss them out. To not use foul language towards them. I did not, but it's pretty clear they have experienced that a lot. Enough to occupy a wall just for that. What a joke of a sales group.

The nurse Suzie was absolutely amazing and Dr. Crazen (I think?) was wonderful. They answered all my questions and took the time with me to explain everything that was going to happen and what was happening, which I fully appreciated. I will spare the details of why I was there (I'm good now for anyone reading this and worried haha), but they took really good care of me and I was able to be discharged pretty quickly which was really nice. The facility is really nice and clean as well. The room was comfortable, too. Again, really enjoyed how kind and nice the staff was and for taking good care of me.

Everyone had amazing care towards me and didn't do anything unnecessary for treatment and diagnosis. I felt well informed leaving and feel comfortable trying to take care of myself. I felt more comfortable here, it was not an ER you can just walk into with access to everybody, they had security at the front that will take you back. All the VIP treatment once you walk in the door!
