Wow a physician that listens and did more for me in 30 min at a quick care than 1 ER doctor and my 4 previous primary care provider. KIRK was awesome! He was very personable, professional, and proficient. On top of all the previous qualities, he is a former Navy corpsman. Highly recommend him and wished he was my pcp. I had the best experience here as a first time patient. The front desk team is kind, quick & efficient! The wait wasn't long at all (I was here on a Tuesday morning around 10am) the nurse quickly brought me to the triage room and got my info and vitals. The PA Kirk Robinson came into the exam room shortly after. He was awesome! Asked all the right questions to help figure out the issue, great bedside manner which I appreciated, he was so professional and so easy to talk to. Not judgmental at all. I wish he was my primary care doctor too, he was that great. He seemed very honest and transparent and wasn't trying to order tests or rx's that weren't needed. What a great place. Here we go again. Another bill for UMCs billing errors and a refusal to fix the error. I told the registration nurse the day of the exam that my insurance was the Veteran's Administration and over the past year I have written no less than 6 letters explaining this to UMC. Hello!!! I am a 100% disabled vet - the VA is my insurance. No one is listening obviously and if anyone read a letter they did not act on it - so about a review? Will this work. I always go here and I've always had the best experience. as a nurse myself, I've been to various urgent cares that I always tell myself "never again". UMC blue diamond was the only exception. I met two smart, amazing, humble doctors on my visit there. (Dr Son and Dr Kegan), they were very thorough, they listened and were non-judgmental and they went above and beyond and this is not an execration.! shout out to nurse marieann and Jamelah as well. theres also a receptionist that sits close to the check in station (middle aged female) I forgot her name but she's the absolute best!!! I always wish I run into her every time I see her, but she's the only nice one up front there. all in all, my experience here has always been positive minus a fee receptionists lol read more

My daughter broke her leg and had to get it looked at. Had a great experience except the front desk. 3 months later I broke mine. I had the worst experience with the doctor we saw there. The front desk was ok but the nurse and X-ray tech was awesome. Then the billing came. I had gone here because it was in network with my insurance. They billed the insurance and it went to my deductible. I was supposed to pay $304 according to my insurance. They have been billing me $2300 instead of the contract rate. I have been disputing it for months and thought it was just a fluke. Then the billing on my leg. Same thing. What they are doing is insurance fraud. I'm going to have to file it with the Insurance Commission to get this taken care of. It's a real big problem. I would avoid UMC as a whole if possible because of their billing practices. read more

Upon walking in carrying my son who couldn't walk on his foot and my little one following next to me, they were very thoughtful and helped me check in instead of having me do it on the screen. Everyone was so nice to me and my kids. We didn't wait long and were taken back. Staff gave my kids some cute stuffies which helped keep them occupied as they were bored (this was also at their bedtime). I've been to different urgent cares and I'd say this was the best most thoughtful care. We came here when my son fell off his electric scooter and banged up his knee pretty bad. Dr. Kegan was great and stitched him up. My son came down with a scary infection a couple days later which Dr. Kegan thought could and would happen. Thankful to him for his expertise and care! When we came back 4 days later he knew the infection was seemed serious and he prescribed him antibiotics. I'm so glad he didn't hesitate because with the holiday it took around 5 days to get the lab results back and it was MRSA. Again I'm so thankful that he was quick to prescribe the medication and he cared enough. In the past I've had terrible experiences with quick cares SW specifically. It's refreshing to see there are doctors who care and are concerned. Every staff member we had interactions with were polite and nice. read more

My family and I have tried this place three times now and each time has been disappointing. I went in with my 9 year old we both had really bad cold cough sinus symptoms and needed antibiotics or anything that would help. After paying our co-pay's $100 total- was told to continue drinking water and to rest. Was told there was nothing they could give us. We would need to "just get better on our own."My husband also went in a different time with a severe cut to his finger, again, paid our co-pay only for them to clean it and put a band-aid on. This place needs to do whole lot better. Go elsewhere. read more

I have been to this location for 8 years and had always received consistent and supportive care. I took in my little one for the first time and was under the care of Dr. Christopher Kegan, nurse with pink hair (sorry, I did not get her name), and a radiology tech (again, sorry, I did not get his name). They were awesome in welcoming in my little one and ensuring that he felt comfortable. We came in 2 hours before closing because my little one's arm/hand area was in pain, Dr. Kegan and the UMC team took their time assessing my little one, asking us questions, and taking additional x-rays. Even when they could not pin point the issue, Dr. Kegan provided us with an urgent referral to get us in with a specialist. We left past closing, but we did not feel rushed at all. To receive great care myself from this location is amazing, but to witness how adaptable and even great they were with my little one was the cheery on top! We have been here before and had great experiences but not today. My husband went to ask if we could get a referral for therapy for my neck! He was told yes. He explained i go to therapy right next door After my session we went. I also said my neck was itchy and felt dry. A doctor came in! He wasn't very personable and said he could do an xray but it would be sent yo the hospital and they would review it and tell . Us where to go. We explained we have a therapist and just needed a referral! They said no i had to go where they said. My husband explained again, third time, what we were told. The doctor never came back nor did he look at my neck. He just disappeared. I told my husband i wanted you leave and then heard one of the nurses talking about us. She seemed surprised we were leaving and asked who we talked to about the referral. We pointed the girl out and left. I had two issues and one they never addressed. I came in for a sinus cold thinking it was possibly a sinus infection. The facility is always immaculate and organized. The front desk girls were absolutely great. Polite and professional during check-in. My intake nurse Vilma was wonderful! Dr. Keagan was top-notch. Great bedside manner. Great open dialogue. This UMC Quick Care can be found on the north side of Blue Diamond Road. Look for the Panda Express (with a drive thru! lol) and look for this UMC QC in the corner behind that. Came here because I was having a medical issue. I wasn't able to hold down fluids either due to a stomach bug or food poisoning (I'm still not 100% sure tbh) I had asked for an IV because I've been through this before and I was pretty sure I knew what had to be done. Everyone was very friendly and empathetic. The kind lady who first checked me in, the nurses, and really everyone I interacted with was great. My only complaint would be the wait times. Although I will say they quoted me 90 minutes wait time and I was seen almost exactly 90 minutes later! It just feels like so much longer when you're not feeling so hot. I got my IV and started to feel better right away. Luckily I was feeling so much better by the next morning I ended up going in to work and doing a 10 hour shift! If the need arises to come here again, I would certainly not hesitate to return to this UMC Quick Care. 4 stars. read more

The staff here was Amazing. I came in last week because I was not feeling well. I just started my job and unfortunately did not have my medical record card with me. I can't remember everyone's name but Joy along with the other young lady at the front desk worked diligently and was very creative in finding my insurance in the system. I was then assisted by a nurse, don't remember her name but she is per diem and i'm grateful she was working that day because she was so kind and knowledgable. I found out that i had another medical concern but everyone was knowledgeable and gave me pointers on how to maintain/get back to better health. Dr. Truong and Jam were attentive and amazing as well. I arrived at 12:45 pm with chest and back pain. It took them 40 minutes to check me in. An hour and a half later, still haven't seen a doctor. I go out to ask the nurses chit chatting in their chairs when I will be seen. No one even looked up at me and one answered. "Oh the doctor hasn't seen you yet?" I guess I must have missed him/her in the 6'X6' room I've been waiting in. Quick Care? More like NO Care, Don't Care. I'm about to walk out in 4 minutes. Edit: I was also spitting out blood. I guess even that's not enough to warrant Quick Care. Update: I walked out at 2:38 pm. They told me they would cancel my visit because I "Refused to be seen." as I waited 10 minutes in the lobby on my way out. I was one of the few people in the waiting room that was unrelated to covid . It was a long wait and only one provider was on duty today . Regardless, the staff and of course DR, Kirk was amazing ! I dread going to quick cares cos I feel I will never get the best treatment. I'm in limbo rn cos my PCP left my network as of 4 days ago and I haven't processed a new PCP to go to. I walked in at 8am when they opened and was greeted with cheer. Friendly front desk staff, check in process took maybe 10 mins. Then nurse aid, Czarina, called me in to check vitals. She was very friendly and kind. I was then seen by Alejandro Navarro APRN and he was a delight. He explained where and how my pain was coming from. I had to get an xray done and Ben explained to me the process and when I can get results. Herbert and Vilma administered my shots and both were gentle and kind. Everyone in this office had been efficient and professional. Thank you for my making my visit seamless. read more

Honestly I like the doctors here, but "Dr.Tran" does not know what she's doing. Came and looked at my son and less than a minute she assumes it's an appendicitis with his headache, leg pain, stomach ache. Note: my son didn't react or tense up when DR. TRAN was pushing his stomach area. Sent me to UMC hospital in Charleston for ultra sound and x-ray because they don't have the equipment in their quick-care she claimed. Didn't wanna go because it was far and rush hour on the 15 freeway but DR. TRAN STATED it can be an appendicitis and it's serious. It's like she just trying to past a problem to someone else. Long story short, got to the Umc hospital, doctor comes in and diagnosed him with constipation and having nausea, gave him zofran and was inform to go get miralax. Doctor said appendicitis doesn't relate to leg pain and when the doctor their pushed on his stomach they said it was not appendicitis !!!! After all that they just did the x-ray just cause it was recommended from DR. TRAN but didn't do ULTRA sound. X-ray came out clean as the doctor at the hospital expected. What the hospital did could of been did at the quick-care !! Now time is wasted and money Something that could of been $75 now I paying $555. I wouldn't have mind the amount of, it was necessary. But the fact is it wasn't!!!! Make SURE you don't go!!! When Dr. TRAN the older women, IS THERE my only bad experience I ever had!!! And it cost me!!!!! read more

Yelp. Why don't you allow zero stars? I'm still reeling from my experience with this particular Quick Care and their lack of empathy of the sick. My daughter's pediatrician had a system issue and couldn't get us in so I figured why wait for their computers to come back up and running when I could just head into the local quick care and have her seen. I checked in a little before 11am. We sat in the waiting room and waited. After an hour and a half I asked if they still had my name on file. Apparently there were 7 people ahead of me. I asked if we could wait in the car, which they said yes and verified my number. After another hour in the car, we came in and they informed me that there were only 2 people ahead me. So we sat in the waiting room. Another 30 mins went by and four people were called back. One of which got to this circus AFTER us. I said excuse me, but my daughter hasn't been called, is she still on the list? The nurse then informed me that these people were just being called for vitals. Wait. So I'm sitting, waiting for three house to have my SICK 10 YEAR OLD'S VITALS TO BE CHECKED? Luckily my pediatrician called right before and left promptly, only to have UMC call me to remind me that it was busy so that's why the wait was so long. Wow, thanks captain obvious. I saw Dr son who fixed me up . i was so glad I found this place .i never knew what to do other than the hospital emergency room which I hated. this place is faster, friendlier and more attentive to the patient. I came in after work pretty sure I was coming down with Covid. I came in just before they closed at 8 and I was able to meet with Dr. Eghterafi within a few minutes. He was kind, attentive, performed a thorough examination, answered all my questions and was a delight to talk to. I was able to get all my necessary prescriptions the next day without any issue. The rest of the staff were also very kind and did their best to get me in and out while meeting all of my needs. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Eghterafi and of the staff there. read more
