Haylee stood out by how much she cares for her patients in making sure I was fed which is a big deal because I hadn't had a meal in over 24 hours. Though a nurse in training, Southern Hills would be unwise to not hire Haylee as a nurse when the opportunity arises. Yessica, just wow. The nurse that everyone would want. She acted like a patient advocate and helped in make sure surgery heard my concerns. While helping me she seemed genuinely concerned. So Yessica I would say: efficient, patient, professional and a true patient advocate (aka nurse). Southern Hill is very fortunate to have her. Would I return as a patient in need. Yes.

When they've forgotten something, they then tried to tie me in to the blame since I also didn't remember it. Excuse me? I'm literally a patient. If someone checks in because they can no longer self manage their health, and it then becomes that person's responsibility to reach out for help, how are people like myself supposed trust I'm in good hands and for what reason am I asking for help, just to get backhanded with a finger pointing game? I can't get treated here anymore. They're being paid so much they can't relate to their patients, anyone outside of it. Very elitist behavior. It's dysfunctional. They're so detached. They don't have the right to pretend they made no mistakes. It's permeated the Healthcare field, the stoicism and bias seen here. I'm absolutely disappointed, can't even expect the basic levels of cooperation. For further context, I almost passed out. I experienced this feeling before, and wanted to address it. So I came in, and they look at everything else unrelated. The nurses don't seem to care about actually addressing the issues. Some of the equipment is outdated and broken, the lowest quality. There's no diversity in how patients like me would be perceived because of the culture here. I'm in the position of having to try and prove why I need to be treated. That's messed up.

The attitude of staff besides the radiologist wasn't attentive and they did not listen to what the cause and symptoms were including my personal medical history. I told them that about a year or so ago, I was given penicillin because I was unconscious. The hospital that did intake while I was unconscious was Sunrise Hospital. I woke up there to very little information and swelling of my lower abdomen. This was because they administered penicillin and it is a deathly allergic response my body has and it's caused inflammation now for a year. That causes irreversible damage and mutative effects that could be cancerous, infertility, and overall reproductive system failing that could lead to hysterectomy. That is disguising to do but even worse when nearby do not correct it by re-administering in the same place as the penicillin with clindamyacin OR because it's an allergy, at least try an anti histamine. They did nothing except explain clindamyacin in the arm isnt what's allowed, which is false because that means penicillin can't be intra utero which was done, and basically I just sat and waited for way too long to leave with no alleviation of symptoms. It's frustrating when someone in their 20's is a female and irreversible damage wasn't considered. It's hateful and disgusting. Way too high of a percentage of women suffer permanently or end up deceased because of this. This is against medical oaths and standards required to even obtain a doctorate. Something this simple does not need to end in someone dying because of people not taking their job seriously or have gross intention. Not to mention, Las Vegas itself is an entertainment city internationally. Lack of basic medical compassion and knowledge leads to set backs or interruption in everything an entertainer does. It causes you to not look normal and it causes physical performance problems.

The nurse tells me that I will continue to cry until I quit moving. My pain level was 10+, agony. She said that she can give one pain pill, than sat in front of her computer without another word. Now I am taken to my room, still crying in pain. Nurses get me settled in. I noticed that my bed is inflating and deflating and every time it does that, excruciating pain. The nurses come back in an hour for a check, I asked them to please turn the mechanism off that is making the bed do this. So the nurse it pushes some button and leaves. Lo and behold, the bed is still doing this. Another person comes in and I tell them the same thing, they push some buttons and leave, again the bed is still inflating and deflating. This cycle goes on from 3 in the afternoon until 9:30, I ask every person that comes into my room to please fix my bed. At this point I am thinking that they're just sadistic and enjoy seeing patients in pain. I was already in pain from the surgery and then they caused me more for 6 1/2 hours. The nurse in charge that evening said that she would have her manager or supervisor come talk to me, no one ever showed up. They finally replaced the bed. The nurses during the day were also an hour to almost 2 hours late, giving me my pain medication. My pain never went away during the day. I cried non stop from the time I woke up from surgery about noon until 2am, the next day. During the day, I also rang a nurse because I had to go to the bathroom. It took them 45 minutes to come help me. By the time a nurse got to my room and assisted me getting up, I peed all the way to the bathroom. How humiliating! Since the manager or supervisor never came to my room so that I could voice my complaints, Henderson Hospital has given me no choice but to air my grievances here. What a miserable stay, I cannot wait to go home.
