Listen... I know people love to hate on Erewhon prices, but when you're in Beverly Hills, you have to experience it at least once. Of course I ordered the Hailey Bieber smoothie because I am nothing if not committed to the assignment. Was it expensive? Absolutely. Was it actually good? Also yes. It tasted fresh, creamy, and like something a wellness influencer would drink after Pilates and before a facial. What surprised me more were the short ribs. Baby, those short ribs had no business being that good. Tender, flavorful, and honestly the best thing I ate while I was there. If you're going for the viral smoothie, do yourself a favor and grab some actual food too. The people-watching alone is worth the trip. It feels like half of LA is either filming content, heading to a casting call, or pretending not to be famous. As an Atlanta girl, it gave me the same energy as walking into Phipps Plaza on a Saturday--except everyone is holding a green juice instead of a Starbucks. Touristy? Yes. Overpriced? Also yes. But did I enjoy every minute of it? Absolutely. Consider this my official recommendation to lean into the Beverly Hills experience and order the smoothie.

Quite a busy erewhon, i think i like the pasadena location since here just has soo many people. For reference the smoothie bar right at the front probably had an ongoing row of 10 smoothie drinks. They do have a lot of management and still manage to stock the shelves to look fresh. First time trying the Hailey bribery smoothie and unfortunately it is quite good. Just nice thicker smoothie texture and not too watery or leaning towards a certain flavor, light of strawberry. We also got some juices (cheaper) that were good. The line to order smoothies is quite short and fast (even a kiosk) but the line to get smoothies is so chaotic and busy, would kind of help to have a screen or number indicator as it goes by first name

Most supermarkets happen to have prepared food but it isn't the main focus of the market. At Erewhon, however, the prepared food (and smoothies) are the stars, and the market is the afterthought. This place is always packed. Lines out the door for a smoothie. Predictably long wait for prepared food. Crowded tables outside. Lots of young, beautiful people here just hanging out. The food here is really good. I like the already prepared food that packed to go instead of the one behind the counter because I don't like lines. Although I have had the behind the counter food before and enjoyed it. They are known for their smoothies. I have not tried the smoothies because a lot of them are made with add ons like collagen that isn't vegetarian based and I don't eat meat products. They are pretty expensive as well (about $20 for a smoothie) but to justify the price I will say that they are more complex than a regular smoothie and buying the extras does add up. I bought some different brands that are vegan based to make the vegetarian copy/cat versions at home. I recently discovered the garlic miracle noodles on the grab and go shelf. They are pretty good and low calorie as well. They have an al dente bite to them. I had the entire container as my lunch and it was filling. On another trip to Erewhon, I got the wild salmon and paired it with the cilantro rice. Together it was super filling. I could have shared it with someone. Cilantro rice was spicy but very flavorful. Salmon paired well with the rice as it is plain and the rice is very flavorful. The fish looks small at first but I was so full that I think I misjudged the portion size in the beginning. I wanted to get a soup to go but, unfortunately, I found a lot of their vegetable soups are made with chicken broth. I hope they change that because it was a bummer and not necessary for vegetable soups. There is parking on the street and a lot next door with Erewhon parking on the bottom. Walking distance from Rodeo Drive if you so desire to be touristy.

Finally caved in and decided to try this trendy marketplace. The experience was definitely....underwhelming. The que to order was chaotic and busy, but I was able to order fast, and I appreciate how they text you when your order is ready. The coconut cloud sounded and looks aesthetically amazing, but its taste was not quite there. It was mildly sweet and had a chalky texture, akin to some protein drinks. I wish it had stronger hints of coconut and fruit.

When in Southern California I always wanted to go to Erewhon to try the Strawberry Glaze Hailey Bieber smoothie. It's funny because my friends that live out there only go to Erewhon when they have family from out of town visiting, as in this case. Was hungover and needed hydration. I read reviews that you can order from the kiosk as it is pretty overwhelming and busy inside! They serve ready made healthy food, refrigerated, and groceries. I skipped the line to order which looked long and just ordered 2 smoothies from the kiosk. The popular Hailey Bieber Strawberrh Glaze smoothie is about $22, so $44 for 2. Luckily they had them ready made so those that ordered got ours very quickly which I appreciated since I had to catch a flight. There were some seats outside and we asked for water for my friends dog. I think it is overhyped but I think the quality and taste and ingredients are good, it powered me through the day and something I personally wanted to try. I would want to try other things in the future.

Erewhon in Beverly Hills is one of those places that feels like more than just a grocery store. We walked into a bright, polished space with a carefully curated atmosphere and a strong focus on presentation. From the organized shelves to the ready-to-eat meals, specialty products, and smoothie bar, the whole space feels designed around a premium wellness experience rather than a typical market visit. The layout is clean and intentional, with products arranged in a way that encourages browsing, and the overall aesthetic is polished without feeling cold. The biggest draw is definitely the smoothie and drink menu, especially the viral creations that have become closely associated with the brand. We tried a few of the strawberry-based smoothies, popular for a reason, and found them well balanced with fresh flavors and a noticeable focus on ingredient quality. The drinks are creative and visually appealing, with each one arriving looking as thoughtful as it tastes. That said, the pricing is definitely on the higher end, and it feels more like something you try as an experience rather than an everyday smoothie stop. The quality is there, but the cost makes it a treat rather than a regular habit. Beyond the drinks, the prepared food section is where Erewhon stands out. There is a wide selection of grab-and-go meals, snacks, and specialty items that make it easy to stop by for a quick meal or pick up something convenient. The quality of ingredients is noticeable, and the store does a good job making even simple items feel elevated. The produce section is well curated, and the hot bar and salad bar offer enough variety to make a full meal out of a quick stop. The store feels designed for people who are intentional about what they eat, and that attention to detail shows across the different sections. The biggest downside is the price point. Many items are significantly more expensive than a typical grocery store or café, so it can be difficult to justify for a casual visit. The store can also get crowded, especially during peak hours, but the layout is organized enough that the experience still feels manageable. The staff are present and helpful, but the store's popularity means you may have to navigate around other shoppers. Erewhon is worth visiting at least once, especially if you are curious about the hype around the smoothies and the overall wellness-focused atmosphere. It delivers on the promise of a premium shopping experience, but the cost means it is more of an occasional stop than a regular grocery run. For what it is, it executes the concept well, offering a curated selection and a polished environment that feels distinctly different from a standard market.

My son's favorite spot whenever we hit LA. He is a fan of the smoothies and I love the restaurant quality items from the hot bar. Perfect poolside treats!!

This location is pretty hectic with parking and inside so it's like a 3 on convenience compared to some of the rest of them. The smoothies we got were tasty but still overpriced. I've gone about 3 times and each time i'm still upset with how average it is for the price lol. Honestly don't waste time with any of them. It's fun to try once but not to go back. Good service always, very nice workers. It's also very clean and organized which I always appreciate

We wanted to try their viral smoothies, but honestly, they were a disappointment. I'd rate them 2/10. The taste wasn't anything special, and I wouldn't order one again or recommend it to others. The smoothies are also significantly overpriced for what you get.

I've lived in LA my whole life and avoided places like this because it always felt so out of touch. Watching kids convince their parents to buy every snack while single-handedly contributing to America's obesity problem. Watching a man try to decide between two smoothies named after nepo babies. I'm amazed by what society has come to. Men used to go to war. If this smoothie could fund my grad school tuition, then yes, I'd say it's worth the $21. Otherwise, I've made better ones at home that had more health benefits. The 2 stars was honestly unnecessary and more for my contribution to a better society. I'm gonna go home now, drink my Hailey Bieber smoothie, and think about how I've succumbed to a Beverly Hills stereotype.

    Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie
    Juliana S.

On my visit to LA, I had to try Erewhon. Overall, the hype around this place is next level. I am a cauliflower lover, and did not care for the buffalo cauliflower at all. The Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie is very heavy, but it has a good taste. It was insanely busy when I visited, very overstimulating. But, the store is very aesthetically pleasing, like an upgraded Whole Foods.

    Mango smoothie
    Elaine C.

First time in LA--headed straight to Erewhon. This location is ultra busy and seems to always have lines for the smoothie bar and hot food bar. Food quality is top tier. Everything looks bright and appetizing. I found the strawberry glaze smoothie to be too sweet. While it was great for a warm day, I thought it was ultimately not worth the price tag. I would recommend the mango smoothie for a more refreshing drink. I also tried the famous raw cinnamon roll, which I loved, especially knowing it was made from whole food ingredients. Great sweet treat option if you are looking to limit processed foods and added sugar.

I spend a significant amount on groceries every week, often $700-$1,500 or more, because I trusted Whole Foods for quality and service. Unfortunately, my recent experience at the Beverly Hills location was extremely disappointing and upsetting. I parked in the Whole Foods parking lot, went inside, did my shopping, and kept my receipt. After shopping, I sat outside in the Whole Foods/building seating area for about 10 minutes to enjoy the watermelon I had just purchased. I did not leave the property or go anywhere else. When I came back, the parking attendant started arguing with me and told me they had marked my car and could tow it. I explained that I was a Whole Foods customer, showed my receipt, and told him I was only outside for a few minutes enjoying food I purchased from the store. He still told me that next time I cannot park there after shopping and sit outside, and that I should move my car. This is not how loyal customers should be treated. If a customer buys food from Whole Foods and sits outside in the seating area for 10 minutes to eat it, they should not be threatened with towing. I felt unwelcome and disrespected. Because of this experience, I will no longer shop at this Whole Foods location. I will choose another store where customers are treated with respect and kindness. I will also share this experience with my friends and family so they know what happened. Very disappointing customer service and parking management.

I called around 4 PM to place a cookie order and spoke with Ashley. I was immediately told that all cookie orders require 48-hour notice--without being asked how many cookies I needed or any details about the order. I even clarified that I was only looking for one dozen original cookies and one dozen milk chocolate, and she reiterated that all cookie orders require 48-hour notice. What was most frustrating wasn't even the policy--it was the lack of basic customer service. There were no follow-up questions, no attempt to offer alternatives, and no effort to see if anything could be accommodated for the next day. The conversation felt very one-sided and dismissive. I've ordered from other Bristol Farms locations throughout Southern California and have not encountered such a rigid, across-the-board policy, which made this experience even more surprising. I ended up placing the order elsewhere, and my group was very happy with that decision for several reasons, including the overall service experience. At a minimum, I would expect staff to: * Ask a few clarifying questions before declining a request * Offer alternatives or solutions when possible * Communicate policies in a more customer-friendly way Unfortunately, this isn't the first time I've experienced slow or inconsistent service at this particular counter, which makes it harder to rely on. I would also be interested to understand what measures are in place to ensure team members are trained and supported to deliver a customer-focused experience that helps grow the business, rather than turning away reasonable requests.
