Updated review after the whole thing wrapped up last week. tl:dr. They are efficient and well priced, but you have to pay close attention to all the details. Pros: 1: They are cheaper than independent contractors (most of the time). 2: They do work with you to get your complaint addressed and issues resolved. It might take a while (in my case multiple weeks to address some minor issues), but they do get them done. Overall, they are pleasant to deal with. Cons: 1: This is essentially a tech entrepreneur streamlining traditional labor work. Their differentiator is efficiency and streamlines operation. They just want to come in and get the fence up and leave. As other reviewers suggested, you have to pay attention to the details yourself. They are just trying to be as fast as possible. They told me my fence (60 feet long) is a one-day job, but they did it in four hours. 2: Their sales team is efficient but very pushy and once you signed the contract, they are completely gone. I had multiple minor issues (to be fair, their fence quality is pretty good). a) They got one of the phone wires stuck under the new fence. They had to come back to fix it. b) There were about 20+ old nails left on my lawn after they finished the job. c) At one end, instead of completely remove the existing concrete, they just put new concrete on top and cut the baseboard to fit in. Our fence almost blew over during the last wind storm. My priority was speed. After doing a virtual tour of the fence I was given a price and a possible start date, 3 to 4 weeks away. I spoke with another company who could guarantee me a start date 3 weeks away. When I told Frank at Ergeon my reason for not selecting them, he asked for some more time to check with his scheduling team. They did a walk through on a Sunday morning and told me the next day they could start the job in four days! Nestor, the project manager and I went over the details and instead of a 2 or 3 day job said they could do it in one day. Sure enough they arrived today at 9 and were done by 3:30. They cleaned up and the fence and gate look great. I went with Ergeon to replace a portion of our fence and side door in our backyard. I just needed something simple, as we don't spend much time in the back. The fence and side door itself they built/installed is fine. Communication, however, was severely lacking after I contracted Ergeon. It also took an incredibly long time from when I accepted the quote to when the install actually took place. I was not expecting this delay. Sales Their sales person, Cristian, was great. He responded quickly and completely to all of my emails and questions. He was always on-time when it came to our scheduled appointments. Ergeon's quoting process is straightforward and easy to use. I accepted the quote on 10/21. Pre-Install Daniel, a project manager, was assigned to oversee my project. Her communication skills left a lot to be desired. When Cristian handed off the project to Daniela, he mentioned that I prefer to communicate via email. Daniela still left me voicemails, and when I would email her, my emails would either go unanswered or the response would come many days later. The pre-install visit finally occurred on 11/28 if I remember correctly. However, it was not communicated to me ahead of time that the pre-install visit was happening on this day. I happened to be home, thankfully, when the pre-install guy came. Installation Installation happened on 12/7. It could've been the week before but I wanted it done on a Monday. I was told that the installers would come between 8 and 10. They did not show up until 11. Since they came late, they were not able to finish the job that day. I think the guy who brought the wood showed up late as well, delaying the install. The installers, nor the PM, did not tell me they were coming back the next day to finish the job. I had to text the pre-install guy to see what was going on. The pre-install guy had said the team would come at 10AM the next day. Again, they were late and showed up at 1. The installers left abruptly and I wasn't aware how I was supposed to pay Ergeon. Post-Install The job finished on Tuesday. I got an ebill on Saturday. No one from Ergeon followed up at all to make sure the job was performed OK. Outcome I would not recommend Ergeon due to the lack of communication outside of their sales team. read more

There were a couple minor issues with communication. The job was scheduled only few days before the work date. I also had difficulty a few times speaking with the crew chief. Initial Walkthrough on day of project (8/10) start never happened. We woke up to demo. Requested illustration/drawing of project finally received halfway through project. Google maps capture with dimensions added. As seen on quote. We had no idea what our driveway would look like before they started. Communication issues. On-site workers did not speak much English. Specifications lost between communicating with company rep and on-site workers. We never knew when they were coming or going. During cement pour, at the stamping stage I sent a photo to husband. He immediately called the company and said this is not what he wanted. Andres said he decided to do a design for us, and that we'd love it. My husband gave up trying to make our design known and since the driveway was halfway poured/stamped at this point, said ok. End of driveway did not turn out the way we wanted. Tried to explain to workers several times what we wanted but they either didn't understand or didn't care. The lack of respect for our property. Garbage left behind. Cigarette butts on the ground. Sitting and leaning on our truck. Hoses/nozzles not returned to their original locations. Worker urinating on the side of our house. Writing measurements on my house and scratching measurements on my fence posts. The amount of down-time- people standing around doing nothing or talking to neighbors. After the workers power washed the cement, we found several blemishes in the driveway. Places where color was not correctly applied, places where chunks of cement broke away, blotches in design (looks like something spilled on it) and places where the stamping was not deep enough. Clean-up. Both porches & fences were not washed. A lot of paint came off the house and was left on the ground for us to clean up. We have to clean our hoses that are covered with dirt and cement residue. Water main was broken at end of driveway during excavation. Workers claimed the pipe should have been 6 feet underground and was not. The workers "fixed" the pipe and went on with excavation. Next morning, we had no water pressure from our faucets. Husband checked the repaired pipe but it was not leaking; however, found another damp spot near the outdoor faucet. Husband dug out entire line and found other puncture holes near outdoor faucet. Husband went to the hardware store and bought more pipe ($30.00). He fixed the pipe so the workers could dig the trench. Husband missed a day of work/pay. ($200.00) Ergeon charged us $500.00 to dig a trench but the workers only dug down a couple more inches and then went on with the project. We should have only paid half ($250.00) Workers chipped away cement underneath our shed instead of cutting (as promised) causing the shed to become unlevel and warranty null & void ($1,800.00). Fence/house damaged in several places. We will have to fix or pay to have someone fix. Gate between shed and garage no longer fits/hangs correctly because shed location changed during cement pour. We have to rebuild gate. Air conditioning unit was knocked off its foundation during demo/grading causing a kink in the pipe. We paid $250 to an A/C company to repair. We relocated the unit to avoid further damage during the driveway project. We were asked to take steps off side porch for cement pour. The step needs to be re-built due to height of cement. We have to fix or pay someone to fix. The workers chipped out the cement landing under front porch (instead of cutting like they said they were going to do) to prepare for cement pour. Now porch is unstable and floating above cement. Will have to buy/place cement shims underneath porch steps to stabilize. Cement color powder all over garage. Ruined brand-new seat on Honda Ruckus. Poured cement around gutter pipe. We have to fix or pay someone to fix it. No matter what, there will be a flaw in the cement because of it. Tore down / broke side fence instead of "taking a couple boards out" as requested so they could get around house to garage when stamping cement. We had to fix. Ruined garage door trim during excavation. Need to replace There were 2 redeeming points to this entire project. 1) Eduardo giving us a customer satisfaction discount which included sealer on the driveway, painting our fence & gates and $$ off the total price. 2) The painting crew was awesome!!!!! read more

Review about the estimate process. Like lots of other people this month, my fence was knocked down during the recent storms. Robert, from Ergeon, contacted me about scheduling a video call to view the fence damage and to discuss my needs. Soon after the call, Robert texted/emailed me with a link to the estimate on their website. There was a minor issue I had, but Robert corrected that without any problems. Throughout this, Robert was quite congenial, communicative and professional. There was no hard sell or upsell of any kind. The prices on their website, which are fair, were the same as the estimate Robert quoted, so it's transparent what the costs are. We'll see if the actual construction moving forward will be free of any issues, but as for Robert, he couldn't have been any better. The first day the entire fence was taken apart and removed, and posts were placed around the entire yard! And it only took then half day the next day to put up the fence and gate! They are poor at honoring their warranty which is one of the reasons I chose them to do the fence project. They just promise a call back which they don't. So you call them and then they transfer you to another person who says someone else will call back. It's going on two weeks from the initial call and three days. One of there nails popped out the wood after it dried up from seasonal rain and the panel is dislocated. For all the money charged and paid in full for I should not have any gate issues for a while. However I do and it was installed only a year ago. Their warranty is 5 years. Security is a must and that's why people install fences. Now I don't feel as secure with this company because they are not following through with their warranty. read more
