overall I would give this company 4/5 stars for the following reasons: AMAZING: - the craftsmanship: the team who built my fence was truly great. they were easy to talk with on the day of install. they finished the project in a day and did excellent, high quality work - the price: I did not find a better price for this kind of wood. if you really need a wood fence and you're on a budget, I don't think you'll find a better price in the area. NOT AMAZING: - the timing! I confirmed my quote on july 3, and did not hear from them pretty much until early september. I actually thought they had bailed on the contract and ended up signing another in the span of time. for future customers: the team can check in regularly with the steps that are going on in the background so that people don't think you've disappeared - accuracy of measurements: in the end, the measurements they quoted me for were 20 feet less per side than what was actually needed. as I am a single woman owning my first home, I do not have the budgetary cushion to find out day-of that I will need to pay for 40 more feet of fence. we ended up going with just the amount that we originally agreed on, but now it means I have to put in work to find someone who can finish the job quickly. in the future, please make sure your representatives are accurately measuring! OVERALL: if you need a wood fence done WELL, for a GOOD PRICE, and you are NOT IN A RUSH, this is the ABSOLUTE BEST OPTION. however, if you are in a rush, I do not think these are the best people to go with! read more

Our experience with Ergeon started off promising, then lost momentum. We reached out in late May and were advised that the expected project completion would wrap up sometime in late July. Well, July came and went and the latest step in late July was someone coming by to confirm measurements. (The 2nd step out of 5 expected steps) We were initially impressed with their attentive customer service and Irving's video consultation session. Irving seemed knowledgeable and kept to his word on swiftly following up with information and timeline expectations. Things started to go south after this. The next contact, a project manager (not Irving) would reach out for our availability and then repeatedly go radio silent for weeks. The dates we shared came and went and we wouldn't hear anything back. We had to keep chasing the project manager down for updates to the point where we felt less confident in the team's abilities and decided to discontinue the project. We shared feedback of our frustrations directly with him and he kept apologizing, citing "internal issues" and delays from a PG&E permit, and offered us a discount when we said we wanted to discontinue the project. Of course I understand that these projects can be complex, time-consuming, and in general sh*t happens that's out of their control, but a simple FYI or update would have been appreciated instead of being completely left in the dark. While the discount offer was appreciated, we were tired of dealing with the unreliable communication at this point. After seeing recent reviews with a similar experience and poor installation job (some of those reviews appear to be taken down now), I am happy that we decided to withdraw. read more

The workmanship doesn't seem too bad. Pricing is higher than other competitors, but decided to go with them anyways since it was a mutual agreement between the neighbor and I. The quote process was simple since everything was done virtually. The quote is detailed and with illustration. Here is the issue- The quote provided illustration that the board was on our side of the property, so we never questioned. After the work was completed, the board ended up being on the neighbor's side. I wouldn't mind this issue too much if this was brought up in the first place. However, there was no mention of this detail. We got bounced around this issue within their company. Ultimately, Ergeon was not willing to work with us and basically denied our claim, stating that this is standard practice. This is not true as we have other quotes from their competitors, and each one of them provided where the board will be after the job is complete. Would I use them again? No Would I recommend? No Easy to work with? Yes, but only during the estimate process Is there work good? Appear good so far and survived the recent storm. read more

This review is for the process of getting a quote from Ergeon. We requested a quote through Yelp, received a response within a few minutes, and had an appointment scheduled within the same day. Our customer service rep, George, was extremely responsive. Our appointment was for a virtual walkthrough of the project (shoring up 11 posts that are wobbly and replacing a gate). After showing George each of the things that needed fixing, we sat with him (still virtual) while he entered our project details into their system and generated our quote. George was great, repeated everything we discussed to make sure he had the details correct. We were very impressed with the process and with George. Ultimately, we chose another company to do the work, but that decision was based on factors other than the sales process or the price (the price was comparable to most of the bids we received). read more

So let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start. 7/29/19 - Requested an estimate for fence quote for 7/30/19 between 1:30 - 2:30. (She was very sweet and nice) 8/1/19 - Received quote. 8/29/19 - Confirmed quote 9/25/19 - Pre-installation Visit scheduled for 9/26/19 between 10a-1p 9/26/19 - No show, we waited until 4pm and no one... 10/7/19 - Installers and foreman show up for installation and run into an alleged problem, the gas meter. (Should have finished this day) 11/20/19 - Final Invoice. 12/3/19 - Finally completed, original alleged "problem" was not a problem. So let's address why this campaign "halted". Isn't that why the pre-installation appointment was for? Which no one showed up? If your installers were familiar with the code why did this happen, I had to make you look up the code and TELL you it wasn't a problem. Just admit your fault and move on. You screwed up, plain and simple and you didn't fix the damage just band-aid fix, thanks!
