This guy is a scam artist. There is never anyone waiting to be seen or leaving from being seen. Red Flag. The level of care was bad. Scan taken for a new crown was invasive and apparently, they didn't do it right as they called me back in to do it again a few days later. The crown does not feel right. 2 cavities that he supposedly fixed fell like unfinished concrete. I asked him to smooth it out and he only made it worse. When he numbed me up for a crown, I could not feel my entire lower part of my face or nose for like 6 hours. Rediculous. I asked him for an invoice so I could pay what insurance didn't pay and he sent me a copy of my Explanation of Benefits with the difference of what he bills and what the insurance pays and had that written down on my EOB. The Balance according to the EOB was $250 which I would have been happy to pay. He still would not send me an invoice. He had one BS excuse that there was confusion between my last dentist and his billing and he was acting as my advocate. What? Total BS as I hadn't seen my last dentist in 6 months. His assistant is his wife. What? Who does that? NO ONE. Never will I go back and Never would I recommend him to anyone. I got the willies the first day I walked in there. I'm a snowbird and broke a crown while in North Scottsdale. Friends Recommended Dr Solberg. H e was able to see on short notice, we worked out a plan, an hour later I walked out with a temp Crown and a week later had my new permanent Crown. It was an improvement over what I lost as he was able to match the colour better. I liked Dr. Solberg. Going to him for cleanings was easy....too easy. He did his own cleaning and does not use a hygenist. My teeth never felt clean after I left. After going to him for almost 2 years I moved and went to another dentist who is a family friend. I had had a cleaning with Solberg 4 months prior. I had so much buildup that it cost me $800 with my insurance to have a full periodontal cleaning. The new dentist told me I had about 2 years of buildup under my gums. It can be an alarm when a dentist doesn't use a skilled hygienist. read more

I got scammed here. I would give it one star but the employee that work here are reasonable, everybody else, not so much. I paid cash for a simple cleaning I did not receive one. Instead I got a less than 10 minute evaluation and light clean. No floss, no plaque removal.... The quality of the care was just disappointing. I just moved here from Chicago. Due to Covid-19, my former dentist group only took emergencies. That put me in a spot to where I had not had a cleaning for 1.5 year. Due to this situation, I needed a deep cleaning. I was expecting at least 2 separate visits to the dentist and some discomfort. I was impressed when Dr. Solberg perform this painlessly in 30 minutes and 1 visit. Since then, my wife and my son have had dental work with Dr. Solberg. I think I've only had to wait once and it was less than ten minutes. But I don't count even that as I've always been early. Staff is professional and friendly. Dr. Solberg doesn't come across as judgemental, a problem I've had with past dentists. He's very attentive to your comfort and as I'm not one for pain, that's important. Dr Solberg has been my dentist for over 20 years. We like the small office, ease of everything from booking appointments to his timeliness. He is fair in pricing and gives honest opinions. He has worked on my kids as well and has always had a very calm demeanor around them. The office I s clean, the office staff is always pleasant; Dr Solberg is the one who will do all your dental work, including cleanings. While it only happened once, when we had a dental emergency, he was very responsive and attended to my daughter immediately. He does good quality long-lasting work. read more

Scared of going to the dentist? Dr. Solberg and team treat you as if you are family. I had tons of dental work needed (10 years without dental visit). I was so embarrassed and uncomfortable when I arrived but Dr. Solberg put my stress at ease. Unlike other dentists, he didn't scold me for my bad dental habits. He examined my teeth, told me what needed to be addressed and immediately fixed the problems on the spot. I had been quoted $10,000+ at other dental offices. I have known Dr Solberg since 1991. I met him back in dental school when I was a freshman and he was a sophomore. He was my mentor dental student at the time. We have remained close throughout the years and I can tell you from a friend and colleague that he is an honest and professional man. As a dentist in AZ myself I trust Dr Solberg to see my patients when I'm away and wouldn't hesitate to see him as a dentist for myself.
