And to get a thorough cleaning of my teeth (typically much better than I can do at home). The doctor was nice enough, probably spent about five minutes looking at my teeth. He scratched up the back of my teeth, and they feel rough and irritating. The 'dental hygienist' was horrible. She basically just placed the tooth paste/polish on my teeth (while spraying me in the eyes and face multiple times) and shoddily flossed my teeth. She tried to rinse my mouth out, after spending less time brushing my teeth than I do at home, and couldn't even properly use the water sprayer. I had to rinse my mouth out in the bathroom as there was so much grit left in my mouth. My teeth feel worse than when I got there. I am extremely dissatisfied with this dental office. Need another cleaning to fix what they did, would NOT recommend this office.

I mentioned I can provide my ob/gyn's office number and fax number so that we can get the form back quickly. But the front desk person refused to do so and insisted on having me drive to the office or scan and print and have my ob to print, sign, scan and email back. I had to initiate a call to my ob office and they picked up the phone quickly and was willing to quickly get the form faxed back, but they need the dental office's specific clear form. I asked the stuff to talk to my ob office on the specific form or items they need to clear, but she again rudely declined to talk to my ob office. I also found very uncomfortable when the dentist told me by turning half of his body on his way out that "I couldn't see you because you are pregnant" . They way he communicated with me made me feel I am so at fault for being pregnant and inconvenient. I could just never go back there, but due to location convenience as I live nearby, I decided to give them another chance. I had to cancel my third appointment and thereafter rescheduled the appointment because my last minute work meeting conflict; however, they told me on the phone that they will charge me 50 bucks for cancellation which I have never seen any written policy or being told before that I have to pay this cancellation. I am not going back !

I have seen dentists who were very competent but due to bad dental experiences in my childhood I always dreaded even the annual cleaning. I was referred to Dr. Davis by a friend after moving to Cave Creek and couldn't believe how comfortable I was with him right away. Not only is he extremely knowledgable in general/cosmetic dentistry and technically gifted, but also his compassion and warmth is not typically seen elsewhere. I feel I am getting recommendations for my care based on what is best for me personally rather than "running up the bill" as most of us have experienced one time or another. His staff is as friendly, accommodating, and professional as one could imagine. Clearly Dr. Davis has surrounded himself with clinical and administrative staff who not only exceed standards in every way but also have a great deal of respect for Dr. Davis personally. He took 8 (4 wisdom --kickback from the guy who did it, 4 incisors --himself) of my teeth before I turned 20 and gave me chicklet teeth for my entire life. I 1000% did not need to get veneers for healthy teeth that just needed to be whitened and straightened and had no idea what they actually were until I actually got them done. There was no conversation beforehand on how my teeth would be ground down to nubs and that it's irreversible --because that wouldn't sell well. There was also no conversation about how the cement used to place the fake teeth is made up almost 50% by anti-androgenic, pro-estrogenic toxins, namely bis-GMA. There was also no mention that these had to be replaced every 5 to 10 years after I digest all the feminizing goop adhering them to the tooth nubs, adding up to maybe an additional 30,000$ if I live that long.
