Don't go there. It is your teeth, mouth and body. Don't let them decide what you need AND then require you to pay for what they have decided. The final decision on any treatment is yours, and yours alone. Get a second opinion, or third. Even then, the final decision is yours. I went there specifically to have my teeth cleaned, which is cover 100% by my insurance. They decided they needed to collect all of my insurance proceeds PLUS an additional $600+. I had a crown that was done years ago here that came loose and needed to be replaced. They were able to get me in urgently and Dr Rosser was able to remake my crown perfectly. I have a ton of anxiety around dental procedures, and being pregnant I wasn't able to get any of the nitrous gas to ease my nerves-- I didn't even feel the lidocaine injections or any part of the procedure at all! Our entire family sees Dominique as our hygienist because she is so thorough and sweet. So thankful to have them local to us! read more

This office has been wonderful to me as a patient, I had to have 8 teeth pulled and Denture made and they have done a great job! Brittany the Dental Asst is wonderful, she took all the time necessary to help my denture to fit just perfect! Dr Rosser is very detailed and done a great job & explained the whole process completely. When the Finance manger Brittany came in to speak with me she was very knowledgeable and explained the entire process and Cost of everything and also informed me on how to get Care Credit to help get it all financed! I came here for a cleaning and had the most aggressive service I've ever received. Had to have a root canal, that got rescheduled multiple times and when I finally was able to experience it I was met with the hygienist and dentist talking over me while pushing too much water and chemical tasting things into my mouth. The two prior fillings I had from this dentists office fell out of my mouth while trying to eat string cheese. All in all do not coming here. read more

Booked online, on emergency,after I hit my front tooth with a wrench on accident and cracked it. Spoke to Manaza from the after hours, made an appointment for me, and I was able to be seen the next day by Dr. Catrett and her assistant Amanda. Super smooth work, the office was clean, they were on time with the appointment and everything went great. Had to cancel an appointment when I called back to reschedule I was connected to an answering service. I received no call back. This happened several times so I finally went in and encountered a receptionist that could care less that no one called back. They had a hygienist go on maternity leave apparently. She offered an appointment in 2024. I Have been coming to this dentist for 5 years. Poor planning by them and I've moved on to another dentist. Horrific office manager tried to scam me. I called to make an appointment for a simple cleaning. I was told that wouldn't be possible because I hadn't had an appointment in more than 2 years. I reminded this dimwit that we're coming out of a full-blown pandemic and, yes, I didn't want to have someone shove their hands in my mouth. He then told me that I'd be required to get a full set of X-rays AND undergo something like a ' scrape and root' procedure (for between ($700-$800) before they could quote me a price for cleaning. And the first available appointment was 3 months out. I confirmed with my health insurance company that this was highly irregular. And I called another dentist who confirmed this, and was glad to clean my teeth -- next week. Steer clear of Cave Creek Dentistry. Seems like all they want is your money. read more

My wife and I moved more North in the valley, so we were searching for a new dentist. So for background, we both see a dentist every 6 months, as recommended, and have the usual cleaning. Once in a while we go more often for an extra cleaning, and because insurance only pay for two cleanings a year, we sometimes have to pay an extra $35-$40. My wife had her appointment about a week before mine, and she describes it as a nightmare, wanting to walk out in the middle, but for this review, its only about my experience which I have first-hand knowledge of. So, my appointment was October 17, and I wanted the usual, cleaning and x-rays. A technician, who was very nice, took lots of x-rays, and pictures, then said he was going to call a dental hygienist or dentist to do the cleaning, whom ever was available. I thought this was strange, all other places I've gone to had it more planned out than a random available person. Before anyone came in to clean my teeth, an "account manager" came in to cover the financial arrangements. This is the document I posted, but I was NEVER given a chance to read it while I was alone. Long-story-short, my teeth are a mess and its going to cost much money to fix them, but 6 months earlier, at another dentist, they were fine. The account manager focuses on that it will be $42 for the left top and $42 for the left bottom today, then the same for the right top and bottom at a future time. I was never given the sheet costs to look at. (Again, I had insurance that covers cleanings at 100%) Actually the total cost per side was $341, but more on that a bit later. The dentist performed the work on one side which maybe took her 25 minutes. There was no mouth cancer screening whatsoever, which I've always had with past dentists. I went to pay the bill and it was $341. In addition for trying to charge me for the laser treatment, which I told them in advance I didn't want, they charged me $47 for local anesthesia which wasn't covered by insurance, and no, they never asked me if I wanted it, nor did they mention that insurance doesn't cover it. Needless to say, I am not going back, and neither is my wife. Read other reviews and you will see this is not an isolated incident. Remember when you read their bill I have posted, this was my first time at this dentist, and I went in for a cleaning and xrays. read more

A wonderful experience with both the hygienist and the dentist at this place. Highly recommended. Friendly front office staff greets you as you walk in. The appointment times are punctual, not a lot of waiting around. My hygienist, Dominique Couet, was very thorough and very informative during my cleaning. My teeth felt amazingly clean afterwards. I unfortunately had a small cavity, which was taken care of by the dentist, Dr. Wiesner, right away in a painless and very pleasant manner. A great experience overall! read more

This review is about lack of adequate care and poor evaluation. First, staff = office and desk very pleasant friendly. I went in to have teeth cleaned one year ago, they would not do it because they said I needed "deep" cleaning and excused me with a bill $2200.00 if I accepted. I again went this year to have teeth cleaned again they refused to clean my teeth stating "un-named diagnosis of gum disease" the doctor Rosser (I think) did a drive by cursery look at my teeth equal to not touching one tooth inside my mouth, stating he would loose his license if he had my teeth cleaned due to "gum disease" no disease named. I was told since I couldn't afford their price I could go to the dental school where I probably could afford them. I was excused with a $3202.00 bill if I accepted. I have never in my 71 years ever missed a 6 month checkup or cleaning until one year ago. I do not have rotting teeth, I am not wealthy, I am retired 23 year nurse and I am extremely unhappy about no one even looking at my teeth. they did more x-rays than I have ever had in my life!! why when there is no need to touch the teeth?? My husband had his teeth cleaned as well..they did polish his teeth but he did say they did not.spend time to remove plaque or check his teeth. He also had a huge amount of x-rays done as well, he says he really felt the cleaning was lacking. This dentist did the same type of evaluation of his teeth without touching his mouth. Very disappointed. Front desk is horrible. Showed up for my appointment to be told "we cancelled that" with no warning call or text. I even had proof of all the confirmation text, call and emails. Not only did I have no warning the woman was extremely rude. Just walked out of this office and I will not return. Scheduled a cleaning over a month ago for 0800 this morning. Email/text changed the time to 0930 which I confirmed. at the office at 0925, did xrays at 0940. Dentist appeared at 1015, examined my gums and teeth and then informed that the hygenist would have to work me into her morning schedule or could reschedule. The Dentist and the Medical assistant both informed me that their on-line appt scheduling service did not understand how the office worked and that a 0930 appt for cleaning really wasn't an appt for a specific time because the hygenists were 'fully booked'. (not sure how they got booked without the appt system but that's what they said). Decided to free up some of their busy schedule and left. I will not be back! read more

I'm not one to complain or write bad reviews but my experience with this staff and dentists has been extremely unprofessional and they ended up charging me $300 for a teeth whitening set that I never received. When I went in to go pick up my set they told me they no longer had them and that they needed to take new impressions to make new ones but were charging me another $150 for them. I had already paid $300 for the set which included a teeth whitening agent and received neither. On the phone, they told me that I could come in and they would take a new impression of my teeth in order to make up for them, once I got there they tried charging me $150 and owned no responsibility for their mistake. Best dentist office ever!! I am absolutely petrified of going to the dentist because of past traumatic experiences. Dr. Poll and his team are very sensitive to my fear and don't downplay it. The level of compassion and patience they have never ceases to amaze me. They go to great lengths to make sure I feel comfortable and safe while in their care. Every time I am there they remember me from the receptionist to the billing coordinator and everyone in between, which goes a long way in making me feel welcome. Horrible experience. First time visit sat in the chair for over 4 hrs for xrays and deep cleaning. All young employees. Way over priced. Went to another dentist 4 months later and they could not read the xrays so blurry so they had to do all new xrays and said the deep cleaning was not done well and they had to do another deep cleaning. I will never recommend the corporate dentistry field ie Cave Creek Dentistry. The dental industry in Scottsdale is greedy and will scam you when they can. Long? Yep! I don't think I have EVER written a negative review in my life; always positive. I am Invisalign patient and late in 2022, both my Orthodontist and Dentist noticed gum recession on a few of my lower teeth; suggesting I see a Periodontist as soon as possible (both were very prepared to provide details and x-rays and a conversation) and my aligner treatment was stopped in place. CC Dentistry (CCD) is close to home and in my insurance network. I called on 12/2/22 and my initial appointment was on 12/27/22 with the owner, a dentist to confirm my diagnosis prior to the Periodontist doing the same. Seemed redundant but, what do I know? I learned the Periodontist was only at the clinic one day a month (the end of the month typically). I scheduled my consultation with her a month later on 1/27/23. She confirmed the need for a graft but nothing else. I nicely asked "Will that be a month from now?" Sure enough. But, although it wasn't scheduled and was briefly explained, she performed a Frenectomy. Why wasn't that mentioned on 1/27/23? I wasn't AT ALL prepared for the aftermath (a tad painful and a bloody gauze filled mouth with dietary changes for a month) so I cancelled plans for the day and went shopping for soft foods and that I would be eating for a month; again, if I had known, it would have just fine but this was a total surprise. My grafting procedure was on 2/24/23. I had my follow-up on 3/29/23 at CCD hoping for a "green light" from my Periodontist to resume my aligner treatment that my Orthodontist requested in writing. I was seen by someone who didn't provide their title (Googled and learned his is a Periodontist). He mentioned this is one of 15 clinics he practices at and wasn't aware of the owner/dentist here. Kinda odd; like who hired him? He seemed very knowledgeable and, to me, seemed very concerned about either the graft of his predecessor and/or neighboring teeth/gums and almost acted as if nothing had been done. That sent out a big "flag" as I sat there. Like OMG! He strongly suggested that I come in every 2 months for status checks but, he gave me the green light (verbal) to continue with my aligners and noted that it was sooner than most. I saw my Orthodontist on 4/18/23 and, unsolicited, he also showed concern in particular with tooth #24, asked about my follow-up and did NOT want to resume treatment without getting an OK from the Periodontist who actually performed the surgery (makes sense) and learn if there was a reason #24 wasn't included that he needed to be aware of. I wanted to see my Dentist and pay his early on referral out of pocket to get this looked at. I saw him on 4/28/23 and, same thing; concern about further recession and especially with #24! He and my hygienist noted that a good Periodontist will perform an additional or missed graft or grafts free of charge and the possibility of tooth loss was mentioned and to get with him if I hit a wall. Since they had my file, I called CCD on 5/2/23 and learned my Periodontist was no longer there; has her own practice in AZ hence not being at CCD on 3/39! Why didn't CCD inform me of her new location and number as she should have my file right? Or, why don't they require that transitioning Drs. Doo so? I explained my situation and was told they would contact my Periodontist. I saw my Orthodontist again on 5/4/23 to provide status. We're re-starting aligners on my top teeth and the lower are still on hold. Today, 5/9/23, a week later, I called CCD and was told the Periodontist didn't leave any contact information whatsoever with them but that the gentlemen I spoke to on 5/2/23 is out today and will get with me. Why? I thought they don't have any way to reach her? I about fell off my chair when she said this is no different than if my Physician was replaced by someone else. Really? Not my experience! I have been notified by the departing Physician or Clinic and provided contact info for the replacement and or referrals and my file(s) are forwarded accordingly to a Dr. I chose. Right? And, I see my Periodontist has several locations noted in Google. Now what? I'm trying to get to WA and then CO but, this is a bit of a blocker. Oh well. Excellent in every way! I was in AZ for the holidays with my in-laws and I started having dental pain. They squeezed me in on Christmas Eve and made sure I could enjoy the holidays without pain. Dr. Poll was incredibly nice and understanding as was the rest of the staff. They referred me to a partner location for a root canal after my dental insurance kicked in on January 1st and then I came back to their office for the crown. Professional, understanding and kind. The service they gave me (especially while uninsured) was exceptional and I am grateful I found them. They even referred me to a partner dentist in my area back home in Washington. I'm not one to write reviews, but this dentist office is not good. To start off, I got my wisdom teeth removed from here and they screwed up my mouth. Not only did they cut the nerve in my mouth and had to stitch up my gums and my cheeks, they also sent me home before I was even awake from the Anesthesia. So I fell asleep in the dentistry room and woke up at home. I had severe swelling in my mouth, and now I struggle with TMJ, as well as my jaw popping and bad neck and mouth cramps. They didn't even bother to let me or my parents know that they cut the nerve until my boyfriends mom who is a nurse informed me that they will stitch the gums and cheeks if they accidentally cut a nerve while removing the teeth. If they were properly trained, that should have never happened. I understand accidents happen as well, but to not tell me and then I have to find out later on why I'm having these jaw and mouth issues from that is very frustrating. read more

Cave Creek Dentistry are horrible they over charge for all their services. I have excellent insurance and never had to pay $500 dollars for a cleaning and xrays before. I told them don't do any services my insurance won't cover! They tried to sell a service my son doesn't need. I brought him to a specialist and was told that his gums and teeth are fine. They try to sell services that are not necessary just to make a buck, very unethical !!! Beware and don't go to them for any type of service. I give them a F- for how they take advantage of you. I have been a Cave Creek Dentistry patient since my husband & I moved here over 3 years ago. Dr. Poll & all of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, caring and are just the absolute best! I never feel like a number...the staff knows me, my husband & our furry babies. They always ask how I'm doing, how our business is, how the dogs are and they remember little details that show they truly care. They treat each patient with respect and you really feel like a member of the family. I don't dread coming to the dentist like I used to! I actually enjoy it! 5+ stars! read more

Let me begin by saying I have dreaded going to the dentist my entire life; I had many cavities as a kid, so I just associate it with bad news and stress... And a string of awful dentists throughout didn't help. So when I got older and scheduling dentist appointments was my sole responsibility, of course I put it off as long as I could; somewhere around five years. (Yeah, I know). The key motivator was my upcoming 26th birthday, meaning I was soon to be kicked off my mom's great dental insurance. So in the last two months I've had a cleaning, two cavities filled, all four wisdom teeth removed and a few follow up appointments in between. I think I've interacted with probably 90% of the staff here. I cannot say enough GREAT THINGS about Cave Creek Dentistry. Everyone is so kind, so helpful and efficient, and every single procedure has gone smooth and lightning fast. I am always shocked when I leave that it's already over! I have had work done by Dr. Cho and oral surgeon Dr. Aldridge, and both have been fantastic- as well as everyone that assists them. Everyone from the front desk to dental hygienists is lovely. They have a couple different financing options available, which may be standard nowadays but due to my dentist hiatus, I was pleasantly surprised to learn of (and I'm using the Smile Card currently to pay off my wisdom tooth extraction). And lastly, they have hours that work for working people; they have appointments as early as 7:00am (on Fridays) and even a limited amount of Saturdays (just ask them). Anyway, that's my spiel. The dental care itself was OK...the 1 star is for the absolute misery with the gals handling billing and insurance. My DH had two root canals at this office. We paid the full estimated balance at the time of service - almost $2,000. When I got the bill from our insurance company, it appeared we were over charged almost $350. I called the office, and was told despite me having the documents from our insurer, I had to wait more than a few weeks until their office received the payment from our insurer. I had to keep calling back to check on this, mind you, as no one was going to proactively call me with my refund. Two months later, the office said they received the check, but that the payment was correct...their office just didn't submit the charges correctly. Are you kidding me??? They tried to tell me I wasn't due a refund, as they screwed up billing. As if. I pointed out that they didn't submit some of the charges to the insurance company. They agreed to rebill our insurance company for the additional charges that should have been billed the first time. Like this wasn't already a nightmare, I then spent another two months in back and forth with their billing person, who either didn't return calls, couldn't answer questions about our account, found reasons to delay closure, and ultimately kept blaming the problem on someone else in the office. And, when they resubmitted the charges to our insurance company, they put it in as a duplicate, so our insurer didn't even review the outstanding charges. Over three months, their story changed and morphed more times than my DH has teeth in his head. When I pointed out their errors, they would counter with another blame game or deflection. Their accounting practices are less than honest, less than scrupulous, and entirely impossible to follow. They keep horrible records, which seem to magically get altered repeatedly to suit their case, and the excuses and inability to manage medical billing is atrocious. Do you follow this? I didn't either. I sadly eventually had to give up. The dentist agreed to give us a small portion of our refund due, though I know they are still holding on to hundreds of our dollars. Sheer ineptitude, with a nice dose of scam thrown in. Clean and bright office, however. ;) read more

As a new resident of AZ, I could not be happier with finding this new dentist. Dr. Poll, Margie and his whole staff have been unbelievable. I move often, and feel like they have given me the best, most personal care I've had in years. I have a few small dental issues we're addressing, and I appreciate the entire staff answering all my questions, and taking the time to make sure I'm content throughout my whole visit, and afterwards. Was looking forward to going to this dentist as the hours and distance from my house were great to work with. However when I arrived an extremely rude receptionist informed me that my appointment was canceled and they tried to reach me. When I showed her the 2 confirmation text messages (received the day prior and hours prior) and the confirmation email (received 5 days prior and day prior) she dismissed me and proceeded to pretend it was my fault. First she told me they called the day of my appointment but then said it was the day prior, story changes when you made the error. It took me over a month to get the appointment as it was and then to have such poor management and people skills was a complete turn off. Plenty of other dentist offices with receptionist that know how to do their job. I understand things happen but a call prior to me arriving would have been completely fine. However to not give me any notice and then dismiss me and be rude was not acceptable. Find another dentist! Lots in the area no need for this place. read more

The worst cleaning service received so far. This was the second time I went to this place and it convinced me to have to say something about it. The unpleasant trip started from the front desk. At the minute I showed up, I got pulled a screen to show my today's bill, including a $30 fluoride treatment. This item I got never charged or mentioned in my prior 10+ cleaning services with other dentists. So I asked to opt out if there is copay in there. And I also declined laser for another $100. This is just fine because they let me to choose to add/not. After I was laid down, the hygienist name Dominique started her cleaning on me. I felt pain at the first touch and the second...and the pain never stopped. I had to shake to avoid that for at least 10 times with uncounted bearable discomfort. Then the point came, she said 'I know you declined fluoride treatment, but you really need it. See how sensitive and bad your teeth are. I can get you a fluoride toothpaste which is prescribed and only $12.' Enough, why the soliciting is everywhere and I truly believe she made me hurt on purpose with the following words now. The reasons are:1) my previous cleaning service never hurt like that even at the time I took my first cleaning three years ago(bad shape then). And I was advised to have a good status of my teeth in the last Nov.; 2)Her doctor, dr Poll, did the other side of my teeth two weeks ago and Dr Poll never hurt me on any touch. So if you may say I am at a super bad situation, but why inconsistent in between your own staff? 3)in the entire cleaning service, she did not care at all about my pain, even at the time of shaking reactions. The process took 30 mins and I felt it was 3 hours. I am paying money to get what I expect to get and I do know what to expect with dentists(I have used 4 dentists so far due to relocation). I believe this lady was getting me to pay for what I was not happy to, then she had her way to let me feel awful. Maybe she didn't mean to, but what I saw was nothing but attitude. Part of my molar broke off last night so I called Cave Creek Dentistry this morning for an appointment. They were able to get me in in the afternoon. I met with Dr. Poll and his assistant, Marissa. They took x-rays and gave me two options. I decided on a CEREC partial porcelain crown. Appointment was for 4 o'clock and I was out of there by 5:00, with my new tooth in tact. Everybody was really friendly and knowledgeable. The quality of work is top notch and the price was better than expected! I highly recommend Dr. Poll and Cave Creej Dentistry. read more
