I also have all kinds of back and knee problems because I am considered obese for my BMI. I snored like crazy, huffed and puffed to even walk to the end of my driveway. Although I could have done my sleep study at home, I chose to have my sleep study done overnight with Hope Sleep Clinic with Dr. Ewaida at his Southlake facility and it was so nice, clean, super friendly staff and medical technicians. I had my own private bedroom, full size bed and satellite tv. All the comforts and luxuries of home. I went from 240 lbs. to now of 190 lbs. I still have 50 more pounds to go but with my small, portable Cpap machine and the fantastic help of Dr. Ewaida, I am well on my way and on the right track now. I have to totally disagree with any negative comments, I am not sure what they were wanting to accomplish but I guess you just have to have a little patience and have that drive and motivation to live a more healthier life and trust the process of Hope Sleep Clinic and Dr. Ewaida. However his staff displayed the following unsatisfactory and unprofessional character. 1. The medical assistant was cold. Her voice and body language said she didn't want to be helping me. 2. They charged me $65 for my co payment even though I kept asking the front desk secretary are you sure? The lady replied that the insurance company said it's $65. I know she lied to me because after I left the office I called my insurance company and verified my co payment is $15 and not $65. She did not call my insurance company but informed the doctor that the insurance company gave her the incorrect copay amount. 3. During my consultation with the doctor, he said before I leave the office I will be provided a medical device to facilitate a home sleep study. However, when I asked the receptionist about receiving this device she said, "No, you're not receiving the device today because she needs to get pre-approval from my insurance company." As mentioned earlier I called my insurance company after I left the office and was informed that no pre-approval is required to receive this medical device. 4. All of these unacceptable behaviors left me very disappointed. This is compounded because I drove more than one hour from my home to this doctor's office only to be treated rudely, overcharged, and inconvenienced. I will not waste my gas or my time returning to this doctor's office. I was really looking forward to resolving my sleep problems with this doctor. However, even though the doctor is a very good doctor, I will not return and be disrespected and further disappointed with the office staff.

But even with having to be a little tough at times with patients like me that is afraid of getting blood drawn, she still makes me glad she is my doctor. I saw a different GP in Southlake before coming to see Dr Sharif and it's because of this other doctor that I know I'm lucky that Dr Sharif is on my side. The other doctor didn't care at all what happened to me during one of the most stressful times in my life. The other doctor didn't want the complicated patients. But Dr Sharif doesn't seem to shy away from patients that may be hurting both physically and mentally. Anyway, Dr Sharif is by far the best GP/Internist I've found in the area. The overwhelming impression is that their priority is maximizing billing rather than providing accurate, ethical patient care. Even the office setting--located in a converted old Wendy's building--reflects a lack of professionalism. I was referred by my primary care physician for a colonoscopy at a five-year interval due to my documented high risk for colon cancer, based on both a personal history of polyps and family history. This office has my medical records clearly indicating that I qualify for high-risk surveillance. Despite this, they are refusing to bill the procedure correctly. Instead of coding it as "high-risk surveillance," which my insurance has explicitly confirmed would be covered at 100%, they are insisting on labeling it as a "routine colonoscopy" and demanding $800 upfront. What is especially concerning is that they acknowledge my history of polyps, yet still refuse to use the correct billing classification. This is not a gray area--it is a clear misrepresentation of the medical necessity of the procedure. Attempts to resolve this have been met with complete dysfunction. I have been repeatedly bounced between the Billing and Scheduling departments, each refusing to take responsibility and directing me back to the other. At no point has anyone taken ownership of correcting what is clearly a billing and coding error. I have already confirmed with my insurance company that the procedure would be fully covered if billed correctly. The office's continued refusal to do so raises serious concerns about their billing practices and their commitment to ethical standards. At this point, this is no longer just an inconvenience--it is a failure to provide appropriate patient care and accurate billing. I would strongly caution others to verify coding and billing practices in advance before trusting this office with their care.

Do not waste your time or money coming here…read more I have been having extreme nausea and abdominal pain after eating, so I was so hopeful getting into a GI after other doctors suggested going. Long story short - I did not get any answers, it felt like anything I said was not heard or understood, and she just kept suggesting different medicines. I asked about endoscopies, etc. to see if they could identify and actual issue rather than just trying new medicine (since I had been doing that), and she said I would have to wait until June or July...keep in mind I have pain after EATING, so I kept saying that will not work. I had to ask the nurse practitioner to leave the room so I could collect my thoughts because of how unhelpful she was. Do NOT come here.

Its a large, new facility, and overstaffed (probably because it was designed by hospital administrators). This means there is seldom a wait, unlike many places that take the AARP Medicare Advantage Plan. My primary doctor is Lauri Ballard, MD, a young lady specializing in geriatrics and Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She is personable, pleasant, and has time to spend if you need it. Adrian, her Nurse Practitioner, is experienced and handled a complex visit that still only needed her skills with efficiency. Christina and Emily (the Clinic Director) are knowledgeable on insurance and helped me with a small problem with the Advantage Plan. The staff and medical assistants are pleasant and not overworked.

After much research on local physicians, we scheduled an appointment with Dr. Eldridge. Our new…read morepatient appointment took approx. one month to get into but was well worth the wait. Dr. Eldridge and his staff have been on time to all our appointments. Each time we go we have waited in the waiting room less than five minutes before they took us to the exam room. After the nurse took my husbands vitals, we waited less than five minutes before Dr. Eldridge came to the room. When I mentioned that they were quick he said that is one of his main focuses is getting patients in when they are promised to keep them happy. Dr. Eldridge is extremely knowledgeable and took plenty of time discussing our medical issues and the anatomy behind the problems. He explained in detail his expectations for the treatment plan as well as dietary modifications which he himself holds important. He told us an example of what he does as far as exercise and diet which is refreshing to know that he practices what he is recommending. He never made us feel like he didn't have time for our appointment or that he was in a hurry. He remember all our names when we returned as well as certain things about our family that made us feel like we weren't just a number. There is a lab in the office and they will send you a copy of all your lab results in the mail. Dr. Eldridge also includes a letter that her writes explaining the lab work and what is recommendation is regarding changes in medication or if you need to call for a follow up based on results. The office staff is helpful and friendly which is a nice change from most places. We will continue to see Dr. Eldridge for many years to come! Glad we scheduled the appointment and waited! He IS the BEST around!!!
