Sharing for awareness regarding the care I received during an MRI on 2/19/26 with a technician…read morenamed Mark, avoid if you can: Description of Incident Upon arrival, I informed the staff that I am a "hard stick" and required specific care for IV placement. Despite this: * Substandard Technique: The technician, Mark, failed to examine both arms for viable veins before attempting to prick me. * Physical Harm: Mark made 3 unsuccessful attempts. When I requested he stop after the third painful prick, he was dismissive of my concerns, stating, "I've been doing this for 24 years." This resulted in significant bruising on my left arm. They finally brought in a PICC nurse after that. * Procedure Failure: During the scan, the contrast administration was extremely painful because of contrast flow not being adjusted properly. Furthermore, the contrast did not appear in the initial images. Because of this technical failure, I was forced to return for a second MRI.

1 star for the cafeteria…read more I am writing as a patient to share a concern about the food environment at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame. While I appreciate the medical care provided, I was disappointed by the nutritional quality and messaging reflected in the cafeteria offerings. Hospitals play a critical role not only in treating illness, but also in modeling healthy behaviors. When patients are advised to follow heart-healthy, low-sodium, or balanced diets, it is confusing and discouraging to see food options that do not consistently reflect those same standards. This creates a disconnect between what physicians recommend and what the hospital environment promotes. As a patient, it raises an important question about how seriously nutrition is being prioritized as part of overall care and recovery. I encourage the hospital to consider: - Expanding and clearly highlighting healthier, whole-food options - Reducing the prominence of highly processed and high-sodium items - Aligning cafeteria offerings more closely with clinical dietary guidelines - Providing transparent nutritional information to help patients and visitors make informed choices Improving the food environment would not only support patient recovery, but also reinforce the hospital's role as a leader in promoting long-term health and wellness. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

In order for the child to use the inhaler at school a form must be filled out by the prescribing doctor. Sutter Pediatrics takes 3-5 business days to sign the form, but if you are willing to pay $18 they will have it in up to 24hours. Kid has to stay home from school or go without a need inhaler at school because Sutter can't put a signature on it without making you way up to 5 days or paying them. Irritating.

Dr Chapman was the best doctor you could ask for and was incredibly attentive to my eczema, asthma, and various allergies. I always felt safe and cared for as a child in this office, and I really loved all the paintings and decor in the different rooms. The giraffe, train tracks, hanging monkeys, and tree painting will always be etched upon my mind! All of those fun touches really make it so much more comfortable when you're a kid. And of course I absolutely loved the reef tank in the waiting room. Here or there you might deal with a bitter receptionist but you'll find that everywhere. My mother really loved Dr. Chapman and this office as a whole and again, I couldn't have had a better childhood doctor. They were always on it and we never ran into any issues with incorrect or late prescriptions, inaccurate advice, etc. For the sake of transparency, I haven't been a patient here for five years so I can't speak to how the office is currently, but they deserve the five stars from a previous patient who is a happy and healthy adult. I will always be grateful for Dr. Chapman and ABC pediatrics.

I am sure that I am not the first or the last customer who turns away from her rude, impatient & sarcastic attitude. She seems to forget that we are not in Hong Kong or China, that she can bark her sarcastic comments over the phone. Perhaps she thought that I could only speak Cantonese Chinese & I had no choice but to be submissive to her terrible customer service. In the SF Bay Area, there are many other Medical Spas with bilingual doctors, receptionists & customers. When my friend, who has paid thousands of dollars for several treatments, referred me to this Simon Med Spa, I was interested in trying it for 'self-pay' or out-of-pocket cosmetic treatments. Thanks to this rude receptionist, I will be spending my money at other medical spas, which understand the importance of customer service over the phone.

My cat, Cheerio is very sensitive. He's left other vet clinics (Lenity) with more mental trauma…read morethat negatively impacted him than his initial physical pain that led him to the vet in the first place. But he's recovered so well after every visit from Dr. Treat! That's truly a testament to the care, sensitivity, and expertise of the team here. Cheerio recently went through a checkup, exams, vaccines, and dental cleaning with Dr. Lee, which was quite involved with multiple shots, screenings, and anesthesia. But the team made sure that the procedures were calm, peaceful and allowed me to comfort him through the initial stages. I'm really thankful for that, and Cheerio recovered extremely fast in a day back to himself! Compared to other vets I've been to previously, it's been quite easy to make appointments at Dr. Treat, and they've always given me transparent prices and quotes to consider before committing, which is much appreciated.

AVOID AVOID AVOID…read more If I could go back and listen to the little voice telling me something was off, I would have left this clinic in late 2025. I was a founding member of Dr. Treat San Francisco from August 2022 - May 2026 and referred many neighborhood dog owners to this practice over the years. Following billing errors after my dog's March 2026 dental cleaning, I conducted a comprehensive audit of invoices, visit summaries, lab results and the complete clinical record. What I found was deeply concerning and the issues I uncovered extended well beyond billing. Clinical concerns identified: - Anesthesia monitoring failures during a dental procedure under general anesthesia, including multiple alarms with no recorded intervention - A sedation procedure with no monitoring records - Laboratory tests billed but specimens never submitted to the laboratory - Vaccination records inconsistent with clinical documentation resulting in missed doses and unnecessary revaccination - A clinical encounter producing a prescription for an antibiotic-resistant infection with no follow-up plan or corresponding chart entry Billing concerns: - $1,178.80 in billing errors corrected only after my independent audit -- none identified proactively by the practice - Additional $1,389.18 in billing errors with a denied refund requested despite documentation sourced from the practice's own records I filed formal complaints with the California Veterinary Medical Board in June 2026 (Complaint 4602026002298 and 4602026002309). Additionally, Dr. Treat is no longer an independent practice. It is operated by SVP California LP within the Mission Pet Health/Southern Veterinary Partners network. This ownership change was not disclosed to members who auto-renewed annual memberships after February 2025. Current and former clients are encouraged to request complete clinical records and cross-reference them against invoices & visit summaries. Under California law (16 CCR §2032.3) records must be provided within 5 business days of a written request.

Yesterday I spent a good half hour pushing this digit on the phone keyboard and that digit only to be met with a human person who insisted could not hear me and hung up on me. So...you don't call in the lab orders like you said you would and confirmed a month before the lab appointment, we get to the appointment only to find out the orders were never called in and then spend half a day trying to get expedited lab orders for an upcoming appointment only to speak to six different people, all of whom (except for the last call where they FINALLY informed us of the 48 to 72 hour policy) listened, said they'd get this taken care of and then did....nothing, leaving husband to attend his appointment to go over the lab results with no lab results at all to review.
