I found "Meet You There RV Repair & Inspection" while searching Google Maps for "certified RV…read moreinspector" near Albuquerque, New Mexico in February 2021. My wife and I were very excited about buying a used travel trailer we had located in ABQ, but we wanted a reliable estimate of how much repair it would require before we finalized that $18,000 purchase. I was very impressed with the many 5-star customer reviews these inspectors (Tom & Ely) had received, so I requested a quote. The inspection price was hefty, but I was very impressed with their professionalism, their timely responses to all my inquiries, and how detailed the inspection would be. I decided it would be an investment worth making considering I had $18K at stake. Tom & Ely spent over 6 hours inspecting the RV in question and delivered an interactive web site and a 59-page PDF report with over 60 photos including 360-degree GoPro images that give a "virtual tour" of key spots inside and outside of the trailer. The detailed report was carefully organized with serious "Life Safety" issues up front, "Major Issues" next, then "Minor Issues" and a miscellaneous "Notice / Comment" section at the end. This made it much easier for my wife and I to prioritize all the issues discovered and decide whether we were willing to invest our money and our time making all those repairs. In our case, we decided this RV was clearly not worth the risk! The number and type of major + minor issues indicated this RV had not received the most basic proper maintenance over the past 3 years and it suggested more hidden water damage beyond what is currently visible in any inspection. Now I might have discovered some of the 21 issues on this particular RV on my own, running an amateur inspection with some checklist downloaded from the web somewhere. But I am 100% certain I would *never* have discovered the number and detail of the issues that Tom & Ely uncovered and carefully documented for us. And I would probably have had a tough time sorting the truly important issues from the minor issues. Bottom line: There is no substitute for true expertise and "Meet You There RV Repair & Inspection" did a superb job protecting us from a very expensive mistake!

Andrew said they couldn't figure the issue out and blamed it on the wiring. I only drove the truck 200 miles in this 7 months because I was convinced it had a real issue. I took the truck to another diesel shop in Bend and they found the issue in less than 5 minutes in the parking lot. My truck needed a simple $60 boost relief valve. Fixed the full throttle check engine light and loss of power that I'd spent thousands to repair. A 1999 Ford 7.3 Powerstroke is basic enough I didn't expect a shop with their "reputation" to be so reckless recommending repairs that turned out to be expensive guesses. I would not recommend House of Power to do any diesel work. I can't believe what they were able to talk me into and hopefully this review will help others avoid the nightmare I experienced

Call me old-fashioned, but I like conversations more than technology. No explanation, no justification, just "mileage indicates" on the repair estimate list. No one explained what the proposed procedures actually do. Yes, I googled them, only to find online mechanics claiming that the procedures are used as ways of padding the bill. I'm not saying that was the case for me, but it gave me pause. Trust is hard to grant any mechanic, so I moved on. I just didn't feel like this place passed my gut instinct of trust test. For the record, there are "teams" of mechanics here. I don't know what other teams are doing, and they really are separate entities (for purposes of trust ) under one company name. I was referred to one team and ended up with another. Had I known, I would have insisted on the name of the mechanic I was given. So, if you get a referral for a mechanic you heard good things about, don't let them put you in with another mechanic's team. That may have been my mistake.

So Bar Towing shows up (sees puddle under car) knows it is a mechanical issue and towed it anyways. So the tow was maybe a mile away, he had my car for less then three hours and charged me $310, with a $65 discount, what a guy! And so if we didn't pick it up that day! The circumstances were, to put it mildly, very unusual, involving a bulldozer by the side of the road and other complicating factors. The first towing company I called put me on hold; I gave up on them and hung up after several minutes. Bar Towing answered my call immediately. They listened carefully and, given the unusual circumstances, asked for pictures, which I sent. They dispatched an operator immediately. By the time Jeff arrived, I had simplified some of the complications, leaving me with the challenge of changing my tire on a slope on a gravel surface. Jeff blocked my downhill front tires and helped me get my spare tire mounted. I couldn't have done this without him. Both he and the dispatcher, Sean, were patient, careful, and above all, compassionate. The circumstances and my evening were terrible, but they both made sure to help me through it. My deep thanks to both of them. I've added them to my contacts. They will be the only company I call if I ever need a tow again.
