Initially we were very satisfied with the work but it didn't last. Over a period of 5 years water accumulated inside and burst the handrail. I noticed it when it started rusting. 6/26/25: I contacted Simply Fabricated and told them of the problem. I said "I would like to find out what can be done to correct this before it gets any worse?" They responded promptly and asked for photos of the damage. I immediately sent the photos. No response. 7/2: I followed up asking if the photos were received. Cody responded and asked for photos of the whole rail. Photos of the entire rail were sent that day. No response. 7/11: I followed up again asking if the photos were received? No response. 7/15: I wrote to Cody "Can you refer me to someone that can deal with this?" 7/18: Cody responded "We could help fix it for sure but unfortunately its out of warranty and we would need to discuss how you want to go about fixing it? 7/21: I wrote asking for a responsible representative to come to my home to discuss how to proceed? No response. 7/25: I wrote "Are you still considering this? Please let me know." No response. Neither Cody nor anyone else from Simply Fabricated agreed to even come and look at the damage. I subsequently contacted another fabricator who came to my house and told me it was caused by a seam not being sealed which allowed the water to accumulate at the lowest point over time. He then said he would mail me a refund and of course that never happened. My last conversation with him was that he was going to file bankruptcy and was not liable to return the deposit or complete the work. Please find another welder, this guy will cheat you and not think twice about his commitment to a job. If you do use him, ONLY pay him once the work is completed.
