The worst CPA I've ever dealt with by far!!! Eric Yn was very arrogant, rude, and untrustworthy. He deliberately failed to mention his costs/rates prior to taking my documents hostage. Before he could start working on my taxes I informed Eric I had to take care of a personal matter in another state and needed to grab my paperwork and finish my taxes at a later time. His attitude and demeanor significantly got hostile and he told me he was going to charge me a $250 consulting fee before turning over my documents back to me. Being a disabled Navy veteran with 25 yrs of honorable service, Eric Yn had ZERO compassion, patriotism, or support for active or retired service men and women. Found Eric on yelp - while doing local search for CPA. Seems like a smart person. Knows his stuff. Not cheap (around 700 dollars for family personal tax prep). He answers your emails (usually next day). One thing I was missing: some sort of recommendations for how to manage better... I was hopping for more suggestions. Maybe next time. It's been two years since I reviewed Eric and for what he just did on our behalf makes it time to rave about him once again! There must be a reason that every single review is a "5" and it's clear after using his expert services for so long. The trip to visit Eric is well worth the time; if we moved across the country I'd retain his services. On my most recent visit, Eric examined a 1099-B form with some suspicion. Like; who ever reviews a 1099? He did and I'm so grateful. He did some investigating while I watched from the other side of the desk and his fears were justified. The form was done improperly and had he not caught the error, there is little doubt that an IRS investigation would have occurred. The corrected 1099-B was also wrong and Eric saw that immediately. The expression "third time is a charm" was appropriate and our taxes were electronically filed - on time and accurate. I cannot express my appreciation more - Eric is a pro of the highest order. Eric is a good listener. He has worked with us and helped for over 20 years. He is fair and knowledgeable. I went to Eric Yn, CPA to file my tax return this year. He did not do a good job on your tax return compared to other CPAs. Other CPA will likely to save you more money on tax return. Most importantly, he is really unprofessional. He did not explain well on ANY of your questions and not willing to spend time with his client.
