Best Taco Truck in Bako. Yes, I just went there. There are infinite amounts of taco trucks in and around town and I have tried a good amount of them and this stands out for two reasons. The food and value. I have been here a few times and everything I have got or tried is tasty. I have had the asada burrito, chicken mulita and al pastor taco. The asada burrito is by far my favorite as it chock full of meat. The beans and rice are almost an afterthought in their burritos because there is so much meat. Most places (trucks or restaurants) fill their burritos with the beans and rice as that is the cheapest element of a burrito. Not this place! I would say it is 80% beef and 20% B&R. Most importantly, this burrito or any other will only set you back $5! Yes, only $5 which beats any crap meal you can get at KFC, Carl's Jr, etc. The staff is friendly and the salsa bar is great. I am a green salsa fan and theirs does not disappoint. There is a seating area under a tent so you can eat there if you're not into eating in the car. I have even brought in a beer once to go with my dinner. The only knock on them is that it opens at 4pm so no lunch if you were planning that as you read this.

Supposedly carne asada tacos but looks like rat meat

0 stars. Disgusting tacos. Wouldn't feed it to my dogs. It's all leftover meat parts. Also has a weird smell to it. Nobody is wearing masks which is unsanitary during a pandemic. Tacos de asco

If you're in the mood for some tacos this place is bomb! We tried the tacos, quesadilla, and molita and were satisfied with everything! This taco truck is clean and they hook it up! Will definitely eat here again!!

Tacos de lengua, buche, and tripa. And a mulita with Carne asada.

I've decided this is my go to taco spot in town. I've been here way more than I've checked in, partly because I come here a lot and don't want anyone to know and also because sometimes I just get so excited by the food that I forget about yelp! *gasp! I know, I know, how dare I?!? Sorry my fellow yelpers. Anyway by now I've tried just about every meat on the menu. My favorites are the tripas, Carne asada, buche, chorizo and Al pastor (not in any particular order). The al pastor tacos are some of the best I've ever had. The chorizo is bomb! Definitely grab some chorizo tacos you won't be disappointed. The Carne asada taste great in the mulitas, which is basically a small version of a quesadilla on corn tortillas. The mulitas and tacos are my favorite for sure. I've tried the Carne de lengua (tongue) but it didn't impress me. Also the Carne asada tacos I can't do. I have to get it in the mulitas only. I'm going to have to try their burritos next but I just know I won't be disappointed.

10/10. Great tacos. Salsas could have more flavor and spice but it's ok. The Al pastor and asada are the best.

They load you up with meat that are all cleverly seasoned and prepared. Asada has smokey taste to it that I think some places lack. Pastor has the perfect blend of sweet and spicy . Buche is savory and doesn't feel like you're even eating offal. Everything is loaded up! The loaded potato has about a 1/2" lb of meat or more. The quesadillas are plump! Meat almost falls out. Sauces and other accompaniments are self serve and you can get as much as you want. Their chipotle salsa is spicy but damn is it good. They even have spicy onions that I never see. While you wait for your meal and watch the taquero at work, they have beans, tostadas, nopal, grilled onions and jalapenos all just sitting there FOR FREE. They also have some tiny potatoes soaking in the meat juices if you're lucky enough that they haven't run out (also for free!). The experience is just so customer forward and this is a gem that I hope expands even more. They have deals every week from buy one get one tortas, $1 tacos at a certain day at each location. It's often they have a line so consider yourself blessed if there isn't.

We ordered paneer bhurji, chicken curry, and fresh rotis on both visits. The food arrived hot, fresh, and deeply flavorful. After hours on the road, it genuinely felt like comfort for the soul. The flavors instantly transported me to the Punjabi dhabas along the highway from Delhi to Chandigarh -- honest, hearty, no-nonsense food made with care. And honestly? It's a world apart from the predictable fried chicken and soggy bread you usually settle for at highway fast-food stops. One charming bonus: they've converted a school bus into a seating area. It's a cozy little refuge from the Central Valley winds while you enjoy your meal break -- especially welcome on a long drive. If you're cruising along I-5, this is a must-stop. You can refuel at the Chevron next door and grab coffee before getting back on the road.

We ordered the Bakersfield Picante noodles and the Hibachi Shrimp. Now some of the reviews on here are claiming small portion size. Well let me set that record straight. The bag was so heavy I almost dropped them when he handed it to me. Now to the food. I'm going to start with the rice and move my was up. First. Wow. It's really nice to have someone who really knows how to make fried rice. Moist without being greasy flavorful and plentiful! Next came the veggies, a great mix of carrots, zucchini , bell Peppers and onions. Cooked and crisp at the same time. Perfectly seasoned and not mushy. I was impressed.... Moving up the ladder of delish I had the picante noodles... and I must say.. simply amazing. Soft to the bite and perfectly chewy. Covered in a picante sauce ( hence the name) that was just short of sublime. Now. The star of the show. The shrimp and scallops. Cooked to perfection and PLENTIFUL! there was as much protein as there was veggies...It was amazing. We had the Hibachi shrimp as well... everything I just said about the Picante noodles... goes for the Hibachi.
