I came to pick it up yesterday not realizing that it had been more than 30 days since I dropped it off. I was told that it was not there, but was hopeful that since it was only slightly past the 30 day mark, that it may still be on the premises waiting to be disposed of. I was told to call in the morning and, because I am a teacher, and the first break I had today was at one, I called then, The woman with whom I spoke, same one as yesterday, proceeded to hang up on me twice even though I was just asking what is a better time to call. I am bothered by the fact that they didn't call me after 30 days to let me know they were disposing of it and even more bothered by the way this was handled. Don't ever go there! UPDATE! After all of this happened, I called again at a time when I though the manager would be there. She was incredibly helpful when we spoke and within minutes assured me that the shirt was still there. The shirt was set aside and a few days later my boyfriend went to pick it up. Unfortunately, he was told the shirt was not there. I called another number that he was given and spoke to someone else who was very helpful and he assured me he would take care of it. In the end, I got the shirt back and they did not charge me. If I had not been persistent about it, I would have never seen the shirt again. However, I do appreciate the swift action that was taken to help me and the fact that they got me my shirt back and were apologetic about the situation.

I could not be happier. I've ended up bringing my grandmother's needlepoint pillow that had missing stitches, two family quilts *loved* to death by generations, and an antique beaded purse that I found at a yard sale and needed a lot of help. I plan on giving the purse to my daughter to hopefully start a new family tradition. All were cleaned (they have a woman who cleans fragile antique textiles specially) and then beautifully repaired and restored. I shopped around at other rug cleaners and they're all in the same general price bracket. Russell's offered a 20% discount if I brought the rugs in instead of having them pick up. I also found there's no one else who can repair this variety of heirlooms, and with such old fashioned attention to detail. Highly recommend.

I had hoped they would have at least dry cleaned it in a timely manner that the stains would not have set, but sure enough they did. The employees claimed they "did the best they could." Sure. As if that isn't bad enough, the inner box which my wedding dress is held in is not even sealed. That is the whole point of heirlooming! Oh and the cherry on top is that this cost over $600. The damage was repaired well but he forgot the suspender button for the trousers. I didn't check the trousers when I picked up the suit, which is my fault I suppose. But when I went back to get the button put on the trousers, he wanted to charge me again. He wouldn't come to any compromise which in my book is bad business. He has lost a customer and I won't go back there.
