I've ended up bringing my grandmother's needlepoint pillow that had missing stitches, two family quilts *loved* to death by generations, and an antique beaded purse that I found at a yard sale and needed a lot of help. I plan on giving the purse to my daughter to hopefully start a new family tradition. All were cleaned (they have a woman who cleans fragile antique textiles specially) and then beautifully repaired and restored. I shopped around at other rug cleaners and they're all in the same general price bracket. Russell's offered a 20% discount if I brought the rugs in instead of having them pick up. I also found there's no one else who can repair this variety of heirlooms, and with such old fashioned attention to detail. Highly recommend.

The only bad thing is that they don't have a credit card machine, so don't forget to bring cash or a check. This isn't a big deal for me and would rather bring cash than bring my clothes somewhere where they'll get messed up.
