I wish they allow "0" stars. I rarely leave reviews and if I do they are always positive. This is a first time I leave a negative review but I feel it's my obligation to warn other. Eric is highly unprofessiona, rude, disrespectful and did not hono warranty on the work he did after the same part broke few months later. he dragged me for days before saying he would not work with me for no reason. He loves drama. I just needed him to tell me what is wrong with my appearance and give me an estimate to fix it. After 5 days I needed to loook for other technician and I'm so glad I did. I found Total Appliance Solutions. They came quickly, diagnosed the issue and fixed it promptly. Now I bow who to call next time. Never again will I call Eric. read more

Used this business over 5 years ago and loved it. Reasonable, honest so we often gave his information to our friends and neighbors who needed appliance repair. Last week I emailed the business because our extended warranty people were at the house 4 times in 2 weeks and didn't fix the entire issue so I figured I'd pay out of pocket for a repairman I thought I could trust. Arrived per his appointment that week and did a quick review and said it was the board even though the board was changed out by the warranty workers less than 6 months ago. But these two workers were at the house 4 times in 2 weeks and were young and inexperienced, so I figured they didn't know what they were doing, and they didn't. Emailed this company and he comes out, we chatted since we always liked Erik and him being down to earth and brutally honest; he stopped by last Friday and replaced the board for our 5-year-old GE profile front load washer, started a cycle quickly and viewed it for a minute than left. The next morning, I started a load of clothes only to have the washer "cancel" after 3 minutes and I tried every cycle with the same result. Emailed their business 3 times, once May 23rd I believe and twice yesterday just asking if he was waiting on input from GE and if would be back out to get the washer working after I paid him $575.00 for a board that he said was the issue, which it wasn't. As of this morning still no reply back telling us he would diagnose and fix it or if it was even worth fixing. I wish I would've read the reviews before I reached out to this company and now, I'm out $575, almost 3 weeks with no washer and now I either have to find a knowledgeable repairman who can determine if it's worth fixing or if I should just buy a new washer after it cost 1600 exactly 5 years ago. And another 575 for a repair that was either incorrect or is still the issue, but I won't know until I hire another appliance repair person. So very disappointed in this contractor, and with all the contractors for the most part anymore that we have hired and dealt with in Ocean County NJ over the last 22 years. read more

Unprofessional!!! I wish I would've read these reviews because I wasted over 2 weeks waiting for Erik to remove a birds nest from my dryer vent. He rescheduled my appointment because it was too hot out. Thank God for him he doesn't work in Florida! They rescheduled my Wednesday appt for Friday. I Told his office I was having my house power washed that day at 4:30 and could he come before that. Michelle said it was fine. (I wasn't sure if the water would be a problem). He showed up at 6:00, called and said he can't work because the ground was wet. He also said the hoses were on the ground and he could slip. Well, the hoses were on the other side of the house! He left and said he will try to come back the next day. He called me at 4:30 on Saturday and said he was on his way...which was short notice. I told my tenants he was going there. I get a call 10 min later and asked me "if I'm playing games?" I had no idea what he was talking about. He lied and said they would not let him in to diagnose the dryer and check the outside vent. Which was a lie! I was on the phone with the tenants and they said if you need anything let me know. He was rude and unprofessional. He started arguing with me and the tenants and then left. If I could give this company less than one star I would my experience with this. Appliance Repair was expensive and horrible. The repair man Erik came to fix my stove in February charged me $250 said he needed another part for it to work correctly. I waited from February to June for the part was given all kind of excuses made an appointment for the part in June when it finally came in . He was going to be late. I told him I couldn't wait. He became very rude. Hung up on me and has never returned despite my request to finish the job I will be going to Consumer Affairs to file a complaint with the state as I experience. My wall oven was not reaching its temperature so I called Eric. He came and stated It was the control panel. He told me it was $300 for the panel and he charged me $296 to put it in. Well that did not work so I called him again. He came back and he said just give it time it'll work one week later I called him back again and said it's still not reaching its temperature it's taking 45 minutes to preheat. he said he didn't know what it was and he would call GE. Well after about a week he called me and said he ordered a piece and it would be in April 15 and cost around $300. He is not reliable and when I asked him if this new piece doesn't work, what would he do? He says I don't know what to tell you. However April 15 came and went never heard from Eric so I went out and bought a new oven. read more

We called this company after they were recommended by a local web group of Mom's. It was the day before Thanksgiving and I was in a panic. Our washing machine stopped draining. He fit us in and looked at the machine. He said because of its age and condition, he could repair it but the were other things that were going to go on it soon. Rather than making money with constant repairs he honestly told us not to bother and to replace it. He gave us advice on buying a washer (my first... this one came with the condo) what to look for, and what wasn't worth it. He also gave us advice on a dishwasher purchase. I don't write reviews so you know this was a bad experience. Look elsewhere if you would like to be treated with dignity and respect. I have never had such a poor experience with a "business" in my life. I reached out to Erik regarding a dryer at my property. He was prompt in returning my call and said he would come by the following day to take a look at it. I followed up via text the next day and he responded. When he arrived at the property, I explained that residents of the property were home and expecting him and that I could be there in minutes if need be. He determined the problem with my dryer and said that he would need to order parts for its repair. I offered to put down a deposit and he declined. I followed up later in the week and the parts had come in. I asked when he could schedule an appointment... no response. I called him and left a message. He returned my call and left a message. I called him back and he said most likely over the weekend, if not Monday at the latest but no specific timeframe was given. He asked if someone would be home and I assured him one of the property residents would be there and that he could call me for credit card payment or, if preferred, could be there to give him a check or cash payment. On Monday, I called him and left a message. He retuned my call and indicated that he was trying to reach me but his phone was acting strange. He said he would be out later in the day. Still no time frame offered. I sent him another message, pictured below, expressing my frustration with the lack of communication and follow through as it was after 6 and still had not heard from him. He promptly returned my call and preceded to accuse me of dodging his calls and trying to evade paying for service. I told him that was rude and unprofessional and that if he was available I could meet him there to complete the job and promptly pay him. He then hung up on me. I have NEVER dealt with a more unprofessional and disrespectful business owner. Ever. I have observed that Erik likes to reply back to dissatisfied customers and attempt to blame them for the poor experience so I am attaching my texts with him. They showed up on time as promised and said it was not LED as A&E diagnosed but mother board was needed . After making a call to price board they went to their truck, got in and left with NO explanation. As a retired elevator mechanic I found this behavior puzzling . GHOSTED by ERIKS APPLIANCE. The owner came in with just a screwdriver and his business card magnet in hand to check why our fridge stopped working properly after a power outage. He opened the back of the fridge, looked at the wiring and covered it back up, leaving it unplugged and with no explanation. He spent 9 of the 10 mins here on a phone call and then just walked out. He got in his van as though he was going to leave. I went to his van to get an answer and he said that he was calling the person that called in the work order... Don't even bother with this hack. Two weeks ago, I asked to set up an appointment for last Tues to install a dishwasher and diagnose my fridge that had the bottom drawer freezing. Erik came and said he couldn't do either that day. He stated I would need to thaw my fridge for 24hrs and he would call me back later that night or the next day to schedule for next Tues. No call, text or message from either him or his wife. Today is that day he was supposed to be here. I called yesterday to get a time he would be here and explained to his wife that I have put my food in coolers and have prepared the fridge to be looked at. She said I would receive a call that night after talking with Erik to get a time and that he still wouldn't be able to install the dishwasher because of time constraints. I never received a call until just now at 11am on Tues morning. Erik stated he has been trying to call me all week. Unfortunately when I told him that was not true because my phone is always on me and I had no voicemails or texts from him, he simply stated that he couldn't help me and he hung up on me. It is sad that a so called businessman acts like that instead if just being proactive and trying to earn business and admitting when they have made a mistake. I tried going with a local, veteran owned business and Erik simply is not the answer. WARNING!!! PLEASE READ THIS. YOU WILL REGRET DEALING WITH THIS BUSINESS!!!. EDITING TO ADD DETAILS: I used this place 3 times- solely because no other repair place handles Samsung. 2 previous times ended with the issue being fixed, but with major customer service issues and concerns. When I received a call from our renters that the refrigerator wasn't working. I cringed as I knew I had to deal with Eric. Initial dealing was ok. He went to the house to diagnose. It started there. He called one of the tenants "hostile." Gave me a solution and a date. Date came, and he barely provided a general followup so I could update the renters. Not fixed. Next morning he tells me it will be another 24 hours as fridge needs to thaw- NEVER mentioned this before. We spoke. It was a very concerning conversation considering this man owns this business. He blatantly LIED to me. He accused ME of lying (one of the accusations he actually contradicts even his own lie on his own VM!). He is now knowingly leaving 2 families, who have been without a refrigerator for almost a week, without a fridge. He has the part. Not a good way of doing business. In response to the comment about the deposit- ALL during the time the repair was supposed to be completed, the card was working fine. On Wednesday NIGHT (the repair was supposed to be fixed during the day) I had to shut down ALL of my credit cards because my wife and I were hacked. Erik was WELL AWARE of that situation (even though as noted above, he told me he didn't believe me that we were hacked...)The deposit clearly has NOTHING to do with the issue at hand and is completely irrelevant to the concerns in this review. The only good thing I can say about Erik is that he was early. I never spoke to him on the phone, only through text, and have my texts to prove everything he wants to deny. Erik showed up to diagnosis a problem with our fireplace and to make a long story short in the process of doing so he shattered our fireplace glass door. For which he charged us $70 for the "visit" but would apply the $70 to the repair job. He was extremely rude and standoffish when we tried to deal with him after the "visit" to try to obtain prices and quotes for the repair to the original problem. Bottom line: The dude shatters our fireplace door, we are still considering having him do the repairs and we've paid him $70 to witness him incompetently break our fireplace door and HE'S a complete jerk to us. We decide not to have him do the repair, but he assured us he would fix the door broke. Nearly three months later he arrives with the glass for the door but "REFUSES" to install it. The whole time I'm sitting there wondering "Am I on Candid Camera?" -- it seemed like the only logical explanation. Extremely rude and totally unprofessional. If you are thinking about having him repair something for you, I urge you to consider replacing it instead. Really nice guy. Came out quickly to fix our washing machine. Ordered parts and came back a few days later to install them. Squeaking went away but then we had a loud thumping noise. He said that it would go away. It got worse over a few days and we called him back. He said we needed a new drum, which my guess is he damaged. Said he would order the drum, just needed a deposit. When I called to give him a credit card number he said he would call me back but said he had ordered the drum but it may take a month to arrive. He never called me back. I called several times and left him messages. After a month he finally returned my call and said he never ordered the drum because I never called him back. I told him to forget about it and got someone else to order it. read more
