I have used Fisher's Appliance Service twice now. Once a few years back for a washer repair and last week for a refrigerator repair. Our fridge stopped cooling over the weekend. I called Fisher's on Sunday and left a message and he called me back early Monday morning. I told him the problem and he was upfront about the service call charge. I understand that tradespeople are not coming to look at appliances, plumbing, electrical, etc. free of charge and there will always be a service call charge. He told be he could be at my house around 2:00 the same day and gave me a ten minute heads up phone call when he was on his way. Jonathan Fisher is the owner and also the technician. In my two experiences he has been timely, polite, friendly and clean. He explained to me clearly and in detail that my problem was either the electronic switch or the compressor. If it was the switch I was in good shape but if it was the compressor, it would be better for us to purchase a new unit. Thankfully it was the switch and after about 45 minutes we were up and running. As he advised me when returning my phone call, he put the service call fee towards my bill and for about $275.00 our fridge has been working great. Not cheap but certainly less expensive and less painful then shopping for and buying a new fridge. I would highly recommend Fisher's Appliance Service. He has also done work for some of our neighbors and they have been also pleased with his service. read more

Updated **Just used Fisher's again and got the same great service.** We have been using Fisher's Appliance Service for at least 12 years, maybe more. The owner himself comes out and does the repairs. He could not be more honest and lets us know what's worth fixing and what's just going to break again. He has fixed our refrigerator, washer, dryer, microwave, stove, and dishwasher over the years. He always works around our schedule. I completely trust him and am grateful for the fast, reliable help he has provided us over the years. read more

Phenomenal service! Reached out to Fisher's Appliance to fix my mother's washing machine. Jon not only fit us into his schedule in reasonable time (which was great because I was stuck with doing my mom's laundry in the meantime...) but he walked us through the problem and had parts on his truck to fix it right then and there. In particular I liked his straightforward approach - no BS - but no corners cut. Engineer by trade and that certainly shines through as he troubleshoots. Don't bother telling him what you "think" it is - he's seen it all - just answer his questions and add anything you may have noticed and he'll do the rest! Highly recommend. read more

For 100$ just to walk in the door I would have hoped that he at least would have looked at the appliance. I got a sticker and a magnet with the name and number on it, so it wasn't a complete loss... Save yourself the time and money and call someone else. Or at the very least, ask him what he'll actually do when he shows up. Get it in writing and don't cut a check till he at least looks at the appliance and does what he says he'll do. read more

I needed to repair my gas dryer and another repair service kept denying anything was wrong with the dryer and said get your dryer vent cleaned (which I have already done). Fisher's was recommended to me by 3 local residents so I gave him a call. The owner IS the repairman. He had a 1-3 pm window and arrived at around 1:15 pm, which was great! Most repairmen have arrived at the end of the window, not the beginning. Anyway, he spent 5 minutes talking to me about the problem and within minutes, knew what the problem may have been. He fixed it within 30 minutes and I am a very happy customer for life! He even adjusted my washer machine's drain tubing, which wasn't part of the service call. John Fisher is a great man and I think he's worth the price. Others who've complained on yelp are sour grapes because you are paying someone for their time, whether the appliance can be repaired or not. I know about service calls because I used to be a computer repairmen and our time is money. He's highly recommended!!! You won't be sorry! read more

Despite some early negative reviews, I found Fisher Appliance Service to be excellent. Fisher Appliance Service was recommended to me a local appliance store. The repairs made by Fisher Appliance was a re-repair that a different company failed to accomplish. Repairs were made with OEM parts as opposed to after market parts. read more

I have used this person twice. He is extremely rude and poor communicator. He charges 200% - 300% more than rest of the guys and talks like he is doing you a favor. He is complete rip -off to the point, it could be called dishonest and stealing. I used him because he was available at the time while other repair service, i used, were not. he charged me few 100s more than what others would first time. Next time on another service call he quoted me similar unreasonably enormous amount, I paid him visiting fee and At that point I reached out to my original company and they replaced same part at $250 less than what this guy is quoting and did a better job, clearer , honest , professional communication. I am very trusting person so went for him first time and 2nd and didn't cross check. its a shame. i would recommend to stay away from him. read more

We have used Fisher's Appliance for all our appliance repairs for almost 20 years. They have repaired multiple appliances at both our old house and our new home. Appliances they have repaired for us include: Oven, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, and stove. We have always been able to get an appointment quickly and most repairs they complete the same day. Their prices are very reasonable and the work done was excellent. I would highly recommend Fisher's Appliance to anyone. read more

In spite of fixing our appliances, the repair man was quite rude. He would not speak to me, even when I directed questions to him. He said to my husband, "Shoo!!" If we weren't completely desperate to have our appliance repaired, we would have asked him to leave. Oh, and he showed up 30 minutes early--fortunately, we were home, but not convinced he would have stayed until the appointment time. He never called us when the part was in and made us wait three extra days. Your appliance will be repaired correctly, but you will pay a premium price, wait over a week for parts and have to deal with an unpleasant repair man. read more

I needed someone to repair my oven and didn't know who to call. I decided on Fisher's Appliance Service after many word of mouth references. I couldn't have been happier with the service! The owner is a soft-spoken gentlemen who quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it as soon as the ordered part arrived. I highly recommend this company. Fisher REALLY knows his stuff. He stopped at nothing to truly diagnose the real problems we were having with our fridge, taking the time to explain what he was doing and give us some great tips about the appliance. Very disappointed. Called on a problem with our microwave. Explained that the touch panel was broken. Asked if cost of repair worth trying. Fishers stated they would come out. On-site, and for $95, they explained the $800+ repair for a 7-year old micorwave. Seems from a customer service standpoint they could have told us that over the phone. We will go elsewhere next time for ANY repairs. Just feel deceived. read more

Don't use this company. Rip off. When I called to make appointment I was told that he would be able to fix my washer and the $108 would go towards the repair. When he came to look at the washer he looked at it for 5 minutes and said that it is not repairable and charged me $108 service fee just for coming. I had disconnected the washer and he only partly connected it when he was looking and hence I am not sure if this person knows what he is doing read more
