I love this office. Dr. Hamilton, Michael and Liz are amazing and always so helpful. My boys love coming here and are always taken care of. When I had my second baby Dr.Hamilton was so sweet and went to see him to the hospital every day we were there. No matter what my boys need they always care for them. I just left an appointment before it was finished as I was so uncomfortable allowing the appointment to continue. I'm not one to write a review - much less a negative one. But I feel SO bothered by the way this appointment went. At first, walking in, the office seemed so cold and unwelcoming. Not a cute sticker on the wall or kids book to read anywhere. Did not feel like a pediatricians office at first glance. After the usual sight/hearing/weight/height screenings, Dr. Hamilton came in. She never introduced herself to my 4 y/o daughter and seemed to be very cold with me. None of this was too alarming until she examined her vaccine record and noticed she was up to date on all except the flu vaccine. The conversation that ensued about the flu vaccine and my choice to not give it to my kids was absolutely unacceptable in my opinion. I was made to justify my decision and then further questioned and admonished about that decision. She interrupted this conversation only to chastise my young daughter for allowing her mask to fall below her nose. Feeling so uncomfortable with this first impression, I packed up and left without allowing her to further examine my daughter. If you're looking for a pediatrician that will engage in respectful conversation and take your preferences, choices, and opinions into account to work as a team for the health of your child - this is NOT the place. read more

Dr. Erin Hamilton has been seeing my kids for 7 years after our previous pediatrician decided to stop practicing medicine. I have loved the one-on-one feeling of her office. It feels small town in such a big city. She has always been willing to answer questions and see my kids when they are ill. She was very supportive during my daughter's battle with never-ending ear infections referring us to a great ENT. I have seen her with her own kids many times, and she treats her patients with the same care she treats her own children. I have recommended her to many of my friends. read more

My child was born with a cleft lip and pallet , it's normal for a child to have trouble with feeding due to the disability, it's completely normal and expected for her to be a bit smaller then other babies her age. Dr Hamilton and Michelle are absolutely amazing. My kids have seen her since they were newborn. When they are sick, I can bring them in same day. When I was a worried new mom with crazy questions after hours...she would call me right back. Her service and care to my kids are second to none. Now that we live more than 3 hours away...it has been so hard to find another pediatrician for my babies that provide care like Dr Hamilton does! Amazing. It's the only word that comes to mind when I think of Dr. Hamilton and Michelle. We bring all three of our children in for their regular checkups (ages 7, 4, & 2), always pleased with the experience. It's the times when you are in a pinch that this office really shines. I know that when I call Michelle, she makes it possible to see Dr Hamilton ASAP. more importantly, my younger daughter has had some health issues where we regularly monitor her as well as see specialists. I have been so impressed by the level of attention she receives from Dr. Hamilton. She knows what tests are being performed, is regularly updated on the results , and communicates with my wife and i to make sure we understand everything along the way. In my opinion she is the most important person on our care team. I know that my children are in the best hands possible, and to feel that way is all you can ask for as a parent. Dr. Hamilton is an exceptional pediatrician. Michelle is outstanding! We live about an hour away and I can't seem to find anyone as caring and compassionate as Dr. Hamilton and Michelle. You get one on one treatment and care at this office. She's thorough and diligent, really assess everything and asks all the questions necessary to make sure she isn't missing anything. Very knowledgeable. I feel confident knowing she is my children's pediatrician. Her office is cozy and doesn't at all feel like she's putting you through an assembly line of patients. I have been taking my three kids to Dr. Hamilton for over five years. I feel like my kids are getting the best medical care possible with Dr. Hamilton. She is a top-notch physician who communicates and interacts well with both children and adults. She has a solo practice, so you are never in the waiting room with other kids waiting to see other doctors in the practice. (In fact, the office runs so smoothly, that we rarely wait long in the waiting room at all.) She is thorough yet practical. She is available by e-mail or phone for any questions between appointments and always responds in a timely manner. Her office environment is very quiet and mellow, which for me is a huge plus since neither my kids or I do well in large "buzzing" places. Her assistant is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful; and an asset to Dr. Hamilton's practice. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Hamilton. read more

Unfortunately, I was Erin's patient many years ago when I was a child. When I was under her so-called care, she would never speak to me directly, she would only communicate with my mother, which I found to be rude and condescending. As a child, I thought it was incredibly belittling to be spoken about as if I were not present in the room, like I was a dog at the vet. This was not the worst of it though. I, like millions of other children, suffer from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), but a mild version. Erin told me that I have to take my ADHD medication EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK; only then would it help me, that it would cure me, and that I would grow out of it, as if it was merely a phase. Additionally, she insisted that I should never drive without taking my medication. She insisted it as a matter of life or death as if I was narcoleptic or epileptic; however, this could not have been further from the truth. It wasn't long after I started driving that I found a new general practitioner, and met with a psychiatrist to complete a psycho-educational evaluation, and discuss more effective treatment options. The psycho-educational evaluation is the gold standard for diagnosing the minutiae and degree of symptoms unique to each child. What I found through my new doctors was that Erin was ultimately unqualified to be making the sweeping statements about my medication therapy management, and prescribing me psycho-stimulants in the first place. I feel that she was contributing to the problematic trend that is over-diagnosis of ADHD and over-prescribing of stimulants, with little specialized training in psychopharmacological interventions. Ultimately, she did a poor job managing my ADHD and was summarily hostile to questioning: Take the meds and don't ask questions. It would seem Erin subscribes to the archaic philosophy of "children are to be seen, not heard". Now well on my way to adulthood, I see that going to that office was an incredibly negative experience overall--negative enough that I still think about it. I'll add that I have become more knowledgeable about the specific slights made against me. Because of the obstacles I faced with ADHD (Erin among them), I studied Neuroscience in college, and am working towards medical school. From my experiences, I know the kind of doctor I do NOT want to be. I remember my mother saying that she felt that Erin didn't like children. That must be a tough realization to come to after studying to become a pediatrician. I remember being made to feel small by her during every office visit. I remember being discouraged from asking questions and being my own health advocate. I remember the bad medical advice, and finally, I remember such a bad experience, that I had to let people know. Erin's medical practice is inadequate at best. I absolutely do not recommend her to anyone, let alone parents who care an ounce about their children. read more

I don't normally write reviews but I believe its time to say what I have been wanting to say for a long time...We have been patients of Dr. Erin Hamilton for years... 15 years to be exact! She has been absolutely the best pediatrician we could ever ask for... Her attention and care towards my children has gone above and beyond what I ever expected. To give you an example Dr. Hamilton noticed after my daughters surgery that something wasn't right, she immediately called and got our daughter re-admitted for what she suspected. She was correct, and she has followed and been an active part of our daughters recovery! Our office visits are always pleasant and stress free and we are always greeted by an amazing MA staff. Michelle is the other half of the office that deserves recognition. She has been with Dr. Hamilton since day 1 and that says a lot about the office dynamics. I could not ask for a better Pediatrician/office. I think eventually I will have adults that will not want to leave her care! We love Dr. Hamilton! read more

Dr. Hamilton has been our family's doctor to all 4 of my daughters. For the past 16 years she's seen every issue we could throw at her. Flu's, skin issues, breathing problems, and on and on. It's always been a nice, clean, quiet office, excellent service from the care to the treatment, scheduling, billing, etc. She's immediately on the scene when our girls were born, checking in with them... taking time with us and patiently answering our questions. Then there's Michelle at the front desk who has always been so accommodating and on top of whatever we've needed. They're always extremely thorough to the most minute detail. Wants to see the kids back right away when something is going on, calls us back super fast event when she's away, even at dinner. 16 years is a really long time so we feel so fortunate we've never had a negative issue to speak of. As much as my girls hate going to the doctors (they think every visit could be a shot), they've all loved Dr. Hamilton and we'll be bummed when the last one hits 18 or if she retires. read more

I am so pleased and relieved to have found a pediatrician that I have full faith in for my son. When I was looking for a pediatrician, I was asking friends for recommendations, looking online, etc and was not coming up with one I had full faith in. I stumbled onto Dr. Hamilton from a medical personel's recommendation and am SOOOO happy. First and foremost, she is medially competent. I have full faith in her and her ability to care and manage my son's medical issues. She is very honest and is great with the kids. Her office is warm and quant. Dr. Prada, her main relief doctor, is also great. Both Dr. Hamilton and Dr. Prada have children of their own, so I feel they can appreciate my concerns as a mother.
