What's not to love about Ernie's? Dive bar vibes, day time beers, no phones permitted, everyone is so friendly, and today it was actually Ernie behind the bar! Nice list of beers. Don't come hungry. They have food available, but it's chips and sometimes muffins. I love the no phones policy!!!!

They have chips. The beer was from all over. The bartender was awesome! So much to look at! Best dive bar in the area! Tip your bartender well and with cash.

This roadside bar has dive-bar character and an excellent selection of beers on tap that keep me going back. And their no phone policy keeps the conversations going and fun flowing. Bonus: the drive here, from any direction, is beautiful.

My favorite local watering hole, with a top notch beer list. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

On our way back from downtown Petaluma we had to make a stop at Ernie's Tin Bar. Half functioning car garage, half bar, all cool. They have a great selection of beer, the friendliest bartenders, and a great mix of metal, wood, vintage pictures and other cool pieces of nostalgia. The patio is awesome and the views of rolling green hills, wild flowers ( early Spring), and sheep farms are stupendous! Great for drinking their delicious beer, meeting new people, live music, and conversation. Porta potties are conveniently located just outside the patio. Careful when you park, cars whizz by pretty fast, Check out Ernie's for delicious brew, friendly people, and a unique drinking environment.

They serve em up cold and frosty.

This bar caught my eye while I was driving to Santa Rosa. I was ready for a break so I stopped in for a cold one. It's a funky old dive with a lot of character. There's a bunch of old time posters hanging on the walls and a good beer selection. The staff was super friendly and gave me some really good restaurant suggestions when I asked. Sadly ETB doesn't serve food or I would have stayed. It's got a rural feel, cellular phones aren't allowed, and the restrooms are of the portable variety. That didn't take away from the experience in my book. It's a no frills kind of place, and the cell phone ban forces people to have good old fashioned conversations, instead of texting each other from across the table. Definitely one of the coolest spots around.

This place is the happiest place on earth! Despite what Diane A. said about their cell phone policy it is a welcomed policy to the regulars. Everyone is so friendly! We love the camaraderie and kindness of the patrons and bartenders. We will be back!

Talk about a Roadside Attraction!!! Right at the very busy corner of Lakeview Highway and Stage Gulch Road is a great place to grab a beer...or two. Quality choices at great prices with lots of places to sit outdoor. Couple of things to know 1. The only food they have is bags of chips...so bring ur own 2. They are very SERIOUS about nobody talking on their cell!! 3. The Bar Keep is very cute

We've always noticed that $1.75 cold beer sign when we pass through Petaluma. On our way back from the beer fest in Santa Rosa we stopped in to check the place out. Solid tap list at this awesome little tap room/bar. It is a throwback type of converted garage with an old school classic car in the shop area. They had a 3 man band that played really good music. This is obviously a hot spot in the area as many people were enjoying a cold one and some great conversation. The bar was packed so we found a spot on a community table on the patio and had a couple beers and enjoyed the cooling temps as the sun started going down. If you are ever passing through and are thirsty for a beer stop by and check them out. 5 Stars !!!!

I was sitting at the bar on Thursday when a customer, Rainey, called the bartender a b*#ch, cursing her out. The bartender explained nicely the girl's token couldn't be used for a $40 Clase Azul Margarita, giving her several other tequila options I might add, and the young girl flipped out in her & called her names. The bartender definitely kept her cool, never even raising her voice. The way people treat bartenders sometimes is just so terrible! Don't go out if you can't act appropriately. I ordered one drink, and it was pretty good. The only downside was the service. The bartender wasn't very personable, and I didn't really feel welcomed. To be fair, it was the start of the shift, so maybe they were just getting settled in or simply having an off day. We all have those days, so I'm trying not to judge the experience too harshly. I usually like to give places a second chance because one visit doesn't always tell the whole story. The drink showed promise, and I'm hopeful my next visit will leave a better overall impression. Looking forward to seeing how the experience compares the second time around.

It had been a while since we had last come here, so it was fun to be back and enjoy some of our favorite beers. It was a beautiful day, and they had live music. They also had a couple of large-screen TVs set up showing the World Cup game. Our server was very helpful, answering our questions about beer and bringing us a couple of samples before deciding what to order. I asked for my favorite light beer, DayTime, and we decided to share an order of chicken wings, fries, and their P-Town Chop Salad. The beer was as good as I remembered, and the food was well-made and delicious, especially the wings (with Buffalo sauce). They allow dogs, as long as they are well-behaved and on a leash, so our little guy had fun saying hello to a couple of dogs that were sitting nearby in between his breaks from begging for treats from the table. Sure I was interested in some food but it was also a football Sunday and I wanted a cold frosty beer to celebrate my hike and the start of my roadtrip. I don't do strict planning when it comes to eating and drinking. I often find it more intriguing when serendipity plays a hand. I'm walking down this town's main retail square, insured something was within reach. I pass by this unassuming dive bar with no signage but very well laid out inside. It was surprisingly quiet for a weekend afternoon in a touristy spot. Friendly bartender asked me what I wanted. But I ask first if I could get our local football game on and if they served food. Game yes said it would be on within minutes. Food unfortunately no but there were tons of options outside the door. Ordered a cold lager on tap from the east coast. The lager was light cold and refreshing. I think I finished it within minutes. Tender was quick to ask for a refill, love that. I next get a beer refill, and a Jameson on the rocks to quietly sip on, as I was now committed to watching the first half there. Very impressive glass and pour on the Irish whisky. I take a few sips but finish my beer, but this time much longer to down as I wasn't so parched now. I sip the rest of the whisky but now well diluted from the cold ice, which makes it so much more smooth to me. It opens the spirit, takes away the heat and blooms the flavors. My second round took over an hour. Then halftime hits in the game with a close score, even though my team did not look good. I tell the bartender that I'll close out to look for some lunch. By this time the bar was filling up. 3 perfectly timed drinks for well under $10 bucks a pop just sent me on my long weekend on a sweet note. I found food around the corner where they had a tv and I was able to watch the remaining of the game there. If no TVs were found, I would have gone back to the bar to finish the game. I was still pleased with my short experience there. Small town watering hole encapsulated.
