Popped over and they looked at it in essentially no time and repaired them both. I only knew of one of them, but they figured out what was wrong with two of them. It was quick repair with very little turnaround. I'm so glad to have a small town dealer that I can really trust. They take very good care of me. They now own and operate the business. Their father taught them well. We have looked at vehicles at other dealers but always come back to Independent because of their honesty, integrity, and prices. Not hearing from them I called and after three calls, I finally got to talk to Josh who had been assigned to my case. He told me that they did not have time to run a diagnostic on the electronics but they would get to it the next day and the cost would be $140. "Did you test the battery?" I asked. "No but we will when ready we run the diag on the electronics. The battery test is included." he answered. Then I asked "Why run the diag?" "Because the car wouldn't start." It was logical to me that a simple battery test would be the first thing to do. Josh had ruined my trust it was obvious that he was trying to scam me. I'm finished with Arbogast. After 34 years of buying and servicing my vehicles at Troy Ford\Arbogast dealerships, I have no need for them.

Coincidentally I was on my way to the Mercedes dealership for a appointment when driving down 75 I ran over a nail. My tire quickly was going flat I took the next exit and pulled into Dave Arbodast Buick. I was met by the sweetest older gentleman who quickly bought me in and handed me over to Joey. Not only did they fix my flat and had to fit me into their busy schedule but they didn't even charge me. I can't thank Joey and his wonderful team of techs enough. I have to say as I wanted for my car to be done I witnessed Joey with other customers and each and every one of them was treated with such kindness and he truly is genuine. 100% amazing!!! Gina

I'm particular about my trucks. Regular cab, 4WD, not white, standard box. After stopping in Arbogast a couple times and not hearing from them I started looking on my own. I found what I was looking for in Lansing, Mi. Arbogast said they could bring it down and I could buy it from them. A week went by. They told me they were working on it. Another week went by - then I was told it was sold. So I contacted the Lansing dealer and bought it from them. So much for Arbogast.

This time after having a semi truck hit our truck I was more than willing to allow them to fix it and they were my first choice..However, after having a very initial rude first encounter, followed by miscommunication between my insurance company and myself and trying to get it straightened out. Then speaking to another person in the office and her basically telling me that she didn't understand what I didn't understand after asking a question. I called my insurance company and told them I was taking my truck somewhere else. I am very saddened by the lack of customer service. It is apparent that they have enough work and won't need my business but I truly couldn't believe the way the talk to people. Not everyone is familiar with the way things work in this type of industry and while your not always helping people customer service would have gone a long way.
