My car battery died. I had it jumped and it started without a problem. I had it taken too Arbogast Ford for a battery replacement. Not hearing from them I called and after three calls, I finally got to talk to Josh who had been assigned to my case. He told me that they did not have time to run a diagnostic on the electronics but they would get to it the next day and the cost would be $140. "Did you test the battery?" I asked. "No but we will when ready we run the diag on the electronics. The battery test is included." he answered. Then I asked "Why run the diag?" "Because the car wouldn't start." It was logical to me that a simple battery test would be the first thing to do. Josh had ruined my trust it was obvious that he was trying to scam me. I'm finished with Arbogast. After 34 years of buying and servicing my vehicles at Troy Ford\Arbogast dealerships, I have no need for them. read more

I would rate them higher, but it maxes out at 5 stars! My truck had an intermittent battery drain and from day one they were able to get me in when the local dealer in my area wouldn't see me for a month. They even showed me what work they had done and were doing to try a find the issue and even listened to me ramble about possible causes. Not only that but once a loaner was available, they even bought it out to me since I didn't have a way to pick it up. I abbreviated this a lot because they did a lot of work to solve my issue and they really worked hard to get me my truck back. This place was both okay and terrible.. I purchased a 2019 CPO platinum f150 here and it had almost immediate issues, after conversations with ford motor company and a private mechanic review, i found out there multipoint inspection is useless, they didn't change the oil, didn't change the brakes, didn't change the cabin filter, didn't change the intake filter, sold it with bald tires, they basically signed a sheet and did nothing. Ford corporate suggested i sue the dealership. When i called to speak to them originally they did nothing, after a list of issues was checked by professional mechanics, and the manufacturer suggested suing them with the findings of both mechanics, another dealership, and ford manufacture support involved, i guess i had a case, because they changed there tune. Now they took the truck back and used the money to kick money back on a new 23 f150. The new truck had a dent, they indicated they'd fix, no fix.. dent is still there, they indicated they'd call to bring it back and provide a new loaner till it was repaired, still no repair.. the initial oil change on vehicle intake, the service department removed the skid plate and never put it back on.. ultimately this place is extremely incompetent in the service center, honestly giving your kid a tool set and saying good luck would probably yield better results. while they kinda made things right, i would still never recommend this place. fixing a dent myself to never work with them again is a lesson learned. read more

I wish I could select zero stars. Bought a new F150 and ended up trading it in due to performance issues (truck did not perform/tow as the dealership told me it would). Provided all documentation required to receive a refund on the extended warranty and service contract I purchased. Completed the paperwork and filed for the refund. Was told it would take until December to process. December came and went with no refund. Contacted dealership In early January to follow up. Several phone calls (and 3 weeks later) I was informed they lost the form. I had to stop in and resign the form and submit again for refund. As of this post, I still have not received anything back. I have filed a claim with the BBB (let's see if that does anything). Buyer beware. I'll never purchase anything again from Dave Arbogast. read more

My Transmission began acting up in my truck. I went to schedule a diagnosis for the transmission. The service guy took my name and number and couldn't find me in the system which is because I've never had any service done there. When he asked me what the issue was, I tild him the transmission was not shifting correctly. He said, "We are currently 3 -5 months out on transmissions. For a diagnosis? I would have given them zero stars if I could. I can definitely guarantee that I will never do ANY business with them and I will share my experience with whomever is interested.... I went in to get my car serviced - a regular oil change that's part of the maintenance plan I bought. I was told my car needed further work so I made an appointment for the following week. But the morning of the appointment I got a call from Mandy in Service saying that because I gave them a negative review on a customer survey I received from Ford, they would not work on my car and told me to go to another dealership for all of my future maintenance and any work I needed done. She was extremely unprofessional and rude on the phone. I've never been treated so badly by a company before. I would never recommend this dealership and I'll never buy from them again. read more

Went to them for a simple oil and filter change for my 2000 Grand Marquis which i had a coupon that they mailed me for $34.95 up to 5 quarts of oil. After an hour they give me a bill which was $10.00 higher and i asked about it and they told me that it held 6 quarts of oil. I used to change the oil and other repairs myself but unable to. Had to wait another 10 minutes for the manager then she finally came and said " had a 4.6 litre engine in her vehicle and it held 6 quarts and thought mine would hold the same" but it doesn't. Also my car calls for 5w30 and it's on the car engine oil cap but they put 5w20 in it instead, when i asked about that she stated that they all take 5w20. Never had that problem before Dave Arbogast took the Ford dealership over. WILL NEVER GO BACK! read more

I had been trying to get it fixed for 2 weeks and they kept putting it off saying they couldnt do it.. said it takes an hour and a half for them to change door latch.. like really? I'm a football coach and I have to cancel practice because they didnt have any loaner vehicles.. then tried to charge me $250 for a diagnostics.. this is pathetic and I'll never come back because they weren't friendly or apologetic or seem to car if I drove it with my door like that or not.. why I'm writing this review so the company can see how much they don't treat people well.. they could look for a loaner however they just shot me down without question.. sad truly sad ford.. I could not have had a better car buying experience. I had already found the 2015 Jeep Cherokee that I wanted on cargurus.com. We called ahead to make sure it was still there since we were coming from Cincinnati. When we pulled in, it was sitting out front waiting for us. Devron was our salesman. He came out, said hello, gave us the keys and told us to take it for a drive. There was no pressure, no rush, he was very laid back. When we got back, we told him what we wanted for my 2006 Jeep Liberty and what we would pay for the Cherokee. We then met with a manager, whose name I can't remember unfortunately, but he didn't try to haggle or trick us into spending more than we wanted. We ended up getting more for the trade-in than we expected and paid exactly what we had expected to pay. It was a pleasant experience. I highly recommend them! read more

Buying a truck here is ok I guess, but the service to get it repaired under warranty here is a total joke, I purchased a 2010 Superduty July 2014 and paid dearly for a extended warranty so I started having turbo issues in April 2017 paid to have it towed back to Troy Ford they replaced 1 CAC hose and told me it was fixed, I told them it was not fixed and all they want to do is argue and hollar at me over the phone, I need transportation so I've been driving it carefully I still have no turbo pressure and now my truck is eating antifreeze I called service manager and told him about it now eating antifreeze on 8 May he said he would call me back never did, I called again on 10 May just to be told they are to busy take it somewhere else Are you freaking kidding me??? Our family will never buy a car from here. We have been there two times and both experiences were terrible. This last time was the worst. My son got a letter saying that they wanted to buy his mustang, no obligation to buy from them. When we got there they kept pushing him to look at cars and test drive them. They took his keys to do the appraisal on his mustang. When they came out with what they was willing to give him, it was ridiculous!!! They tried telling him that his car had depreciated because the owner before him had it repossessed and because it had been bought at an auction two different times. Which is a complete lie!! I have a friend in the car business and he verified that those things DO NOT depreciate the value of a car. To top it all off, we had to ask for my sons keys to HIS car 5 times before they would give them to us and then got mad and wouldn't shake my sons hand. I rated Troy Ford before on the scratches on my car but now more. Yesterday, my husband pulled the car out of the garage to wash & wax after he fixed the scratches. When he tried to start it to pull it back into the garage, it wouldn't start. Dead as a door nail. We called AAA to come out and start the car and the AAA mechanic told us there was a dead cell in the battery so we need to replace the battery. Mind you we've only had the car for a week. Called around to find out the battery would be around $120. So, I called the salesman back this morning to let him know what was going on, no warranty so couldn't do anything. The car sales manager, Ted, called me back and said he'd make it right if I wanted to drive back up to Troy so they could test the battery. That would be great if Troy wasn't a 35 minute drive but what happens if the car dies between here & Troy. Don't think I want to take the risk so guess I'll put out the $120. I wanted to write this, though, to update my last review. The salesman did tell me they hand wash cars there and it's not run through brushes so can't explain how the scratches got there. Neither can I but they weren't there before they took it back to wash & detail the car which took 45min to an hour and still the inside windows had not been cleaned. I am very disappointed with my experience recently at Troy Ford. On Saturday, November 14th my husband and I came into the shop to look for myself a car. Zach was our salesman and came out as soon as we got out of our truck and helped look for the car I had said I wanted. We took it for a test drive and I fell in love. The problem started as soon as we got in the car. Zach started off talking and asking questions about my husbands truck. He loved his truck...could not stop talking about it. From anywhere from the year of the truck to the boost to why he has it..etc. My husband answered all of his questions but kept trying to refer Zach back to me and my liking of the car. Zach did not care nor ask if I liked the car..nor did he really talk to me about anything I wanted. He was always talking to my husband about his truck. It was almost like he did not even want me to buy the car from him! We ended up leaving after I test drove it because we had to be somewhere, we told Zach we were going to Dave Arbogast and other dealerships and he told us "No." I said yes, I would like to look more places. He said "no you don't." Okay then.... Zach then offered us to drive the car around for the day and bring it back.. That made me fall more in love with the car and I knew I wanted to buy it..but honestly not from Zach. He was so rude the whole time we were with him and just didn't care about what I wanted or my experience. I would like to refer my friends and family to Troy Ford but not with Zach treating customers the way I was treated. And to top it off, Zach called me Monday morning..me thinking he was going to ask how I like the car and such.. Nope- he called to tell me I needed to add my car to my insurance because he had to turn paperwork in. I said I will when I have time I'm at work right now, he said "do it ASAP" and that was our conversation. I am truly disappointed with Zach and my experience with Troy Ford. I emailed the owner on Monday and got a response from the sales manager saying they would talk to Zach and make sure he gets better training....I sure hope so. read more
