Took car in for transmission flush. Came out slipping/shuddering. Took back in replaced a couple things and it was still slipping gears. Took to another shop and transmission cooler cracked from their flush or whatever they did. Whole new transmission was put in from another shop and Dave Arbogast didnt even bother refunding or trying to fix situation. Definately do not rexommend service. They started off by lying to me about the apr. They lied to me to fix that problem. They didn't care when my 2014 with less than 3,000 miles put on it the motor seized up on us. My review is for the Ford Dave Arborgast, but it is the same owners. Avoid at all costs please. My elderly family member was taken advantage of. A greedy finance guy sold my relative warranties that my family member didn't realize they were buying until they received their first payment slip. The situation was not fixed to an acceptable manner and the time frame of three months to reach a resolution is not acceptable. In my attempts to go through the proper channels as far as communication and up the chain of command was not acceptable. There were a few employees that seemed to care and rectify the situation, but others just passed the buck and could have cared less. I had the deal set up all my relative was to do was go in and sign. The man doing the paperwork knew about the medical issues and saw me days prior in person as we discussed all of this thoroughly. The numbers were in emails sent to me. My relative now has to pay $110 more a month, but the warranty will be terminated. The manager at the dealership told me Ford refused to do a new lease even under the circumstances. The issue at hand is though taking advantage of an elderly person. read more

Terrible Dealership to do business with. I bought a Conversion Van from them and once the sale was over they were done with me. Didn't help at all to make sure I got my vehicle and was happy with it. First time using my vehicle it needed a $2,000 repair that could have been prevented if they took it to their service center to have it checked out before selling it. Van also had roof damage that was not disclosed to me that I still need to pay to repair, also all speakers in the van were blown, more money to spend! This dealership does the bare minimum on everything and does not check the vehicles prior to sale, rotors were pitted and rusted in the front and back, brake pads shot! An easy fix for a dealer, not so much for the consumer!! Would not recommend Arbogast. Go elsewhere!~!!! read more

My mother took a vehicle there to be fixed. They quoted a lower price for repairs and raised the price by 700 at the end. They also refused to give her a military discount that they originally said they do give. She had previously had it looked at in another shop and was told what needed fixed. Arbogast said they could do it cheaper. In the end they raised the price over $700. read more

We bought a new 2016 cyclone, we had it delivered, a Service they offer. Well the delivery driver ended up wrecking on his way to us. The dealership is not helping, if you consider finding a repair shop helping, I guess they are. They are not taking responsibility, nor even helping with any cost coming out of pocket. I recently purchased a fifth wheel from Dave Arbogast and feel compelled to review them. First, I'm an out of state customer, about four hours away so most everything was taken care of over the phone. Problem one, talking final price is difficult considering one hasn't seen the unit (used) and they were very pushy to come to an agreement before they would prep the unit for my inspection/ purchase. Problem two, upon coming to an 'agreement' and finally making the trek to their lot, I find the unit NOT prepped. They claimed to wash the exterior, clean the inside and go through the appliances. Well, the outside was filthy, recent stains on the carpet and evidence they did nothing to the unit. Although they did replace a part in the water heater, nothing else was prepped. Even light bulbs on the outside were burned out, yeah the break/ running light kind. No body was there to replace them for me. Problem three, I was promised that tax, title and license was included on the original price we agreed upon. Nope, I have to title and register in my own state. Problem four, an hour out I stop to grab dinner.... upon exiting the truck I notice a tire almost flat, I make it to a nearby Walmart for a tire and find out that another tire is separating from the tread. I was promised that the tires and brakes were inspected because of 'safety'. HAHA! Nope After all this, I really did like the unit and they should consider themselves lucky that I did because there is NO way I would recommend buying anything used from them as they don't go through anything even though they promised they did. They didn't even fill the LP tanks either (said they would). They only thing they did for me was send me a $200 check for the tires that were bad even though the manager denied responsibility. I later replaced the other two tires when I got home because they were bad as well. Steer clear from this place, they look they know what they are doing considering the dealership is huge and looks really nice but the people make it a BAD DEAL! read more

Just purchased a used 2010 Camaro from this dealership. Worked with Jamie Mead in sales, he's a very friendly guy. No pressure at all. The car is 8 years old and they still offer a 3 month/3,000 mile warranty on the powertrain. That's some good insurance they are trying to sell you a good vehicle. Having looked at many different sports cars, I was pleased Jamie allowed me to take it out for a nice test drive. I think I drove it for like 20 minutes, uninterrupted. Other dealerships wanted their sales person to ride along. And that just makes you feel rushed and that your over looking things as a buyer. We knew, from using a car search web site, that Arbogast's price was very competitive. Yesterday my husband left a 5* review for this business but I must also add a 1* review for the reasons below. Both are trueas they relate to two different product categories and may also involve different personnel. We had bought a 5th wheel from them but needed a towing hitch installed in our truck - this post is about buying that hitch. They installed a hitch without givingus options on the brands they carry and which does not meet our needs at all. We never owned a 5th wheel or a related hitch, but we knew that we needed a sliding hitch. The dealership installed a Curt sliding hitch, their price being $1,300 for which we paid $2,500 installed, fair enough. They gave us instructions on how to use the hitch while we were driving out of the dealership in a cold and windy night with the trailer hitched. The hitch has two handles and as was tutored to us, pulling the trailer required us to pull one handle one way and the other toward the truck's front and push the hitch back to the lock position. The process needs to be reversed for tight maneuvering or reversing, etc. Now me and my husband are both of small stature and being elderly, (they had seen my husband moving around with a cane for two days we were there), we cannot manage the process while standing on ground, one of us must climb in the truck-bed, which is a hard for either of us. When we reached home, I sent a message to the salesperson stating that we would not be able to handle the hitch. I researched and found that Demco is a manufacturer specializing in auto-sliding hitches, and it's also a well-established technology. We found out yesterday when RV dealership opened that they do carry Demco hitches as well but did not offer it to us because the cost was about a $1,000 higher. They should have given us the option to decide We priced a suitable Demco model with capture plates and installation kit from 'e-trailer'. The price was $2,466.66 plus taxes with free shipping. We offered Dave Arbogast RV to charge us additional $800 (on top of the $2,500 already paid, so a total of $3,300), to install the Demco model, remove and keep their unwanted Curt hitch. However, they wanted us to pay them$1,300 more instead and keep/sell the Curt hitch on our own. We declined the offer. Clearly, we are having a terrible experience of buying a suitable 5th wheel hitch from Dave Arbogast RV. Never were we told that if we driveaway with their installed hitch, it would be ours to keep. If such is their policy, it is totally unfair. We have opened a dispute with our credit card company & lets see where the process takes us. read more

Being a first time buyer, I didn't know about this and wish someone from the dealership had told me so that I could have avoided a giant headache. Buyer Beware of Deceptive Business Practices!!!! I just gave them a $2500 deposit on a used Airstream Interstate....They accepted the deposit and called me back a few hours later to tell me they couldn't sell it to me for that price, I had to pay $5000+ more. The deposit form did not have the sales price on it. The manager claimed this would fall under "Errors and Omissions" and they wouldn't honor the price agreed to by their Salesperson-Tyon. What??!!! Wait till you hear this real story, not some fake 5 star review.... In Dec 2015, I spent over $50,000 on a new conversion van and trust me, Arbogast was happy to sell it to me. In June 2016, I contacted the dealer again to see if they wanted to buy it back (for less money of course). We have no kids, only put 17k miles on it and it was absolutely in mint condition. They offered me X and told me it was their best offer. We then listed the van for sale publicly and received a random call from another dealer and eventually we sold it to them. Then on the day of pickup, the driver arrives and says he is taking the van to Arbogast. I said WOW, really? Come to find Arbogast handed the other dealer a better price full knowing I offered it to them prior. It is all in writing and in the end, this cost me thousands. Can you believe it? I would like to comment on my experience as a 75 year old woman alone on a car lot looking to buy a car for my first time. Being local I went to Troy Ford. I met a young salesman by the name of Josh Bell who in my opinion was the best salesperson that I have ever had to deal with over all my years in purchasing anything. He positively recognized my nervousness and turned my car buying experience into a very easy relaxed experience. He allowed me to ask my own questions and not one time did I feel forced into my decision. He was attentive to what I needed and very understanding and was there with me from start to finish. He actually followed up with me after the fact to make sure that I had been treated well with everyone that had been involved with my purchase. This was 5 months ago and he impressed me so much with how I was treated that I sent one of my many grandchildren to him for her first car buying experience and she bought her first car from him.This was just two weeks ago and believe me when I say that she was as pleased with him as I was. I would recommend that if buying used from this dealer you should bring your own mechanic to check the car. We discovered a couple of items needing repair just days after our purchase. I called 4 times and was told that a manager would be contacting us. Today our 5th call without response resulted in "You should have checked the car better". Clearly, it is their only goal to move as many cars as possible from the lot no matter the condition. Our car is still under warranty, but I feel strongly that the dealer should want to make sure THEIR customer is satisfied instead of pushing it off on someone else. read more

BUYER BEWARE, We purchased several Yukon XL Denali vehicles from this dealer and this last one they dropped the ball on. They lied to us over and over on a 83000.00 2021 Yukon Denali. We asked over and over about Air Ride and Heavy Duty trailer brake controls. We have several email confirmations, and of course the verbals . The sales staff confirmed it prior to driving 5 hours to get the truck. During Covid it was a fast delivery and the staff again said it was on the dash and showed us just a trailer hook up. We get home and NO BREAK CONTROL, NO Air Ride and we cannot pull our 20 ft trailer without it sagging with no fix. SO GETTING RID OF THE TRUCK, NO WAY TO FIX IT and no response from DAVE, BLAKE or the STAFF. SUCH A HORRIBLE THING TO DO is to LIE TO A GOOD CUSTOMER ALL OVER THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. We did get an after market break control show up as a no charge.. BIG DEAL, a STICK ON THE DASH UNIT for an 83000.00 CAR.. and still no way to fix the suspension, BUYER BEWARE, the almighty buck is most important at ARBOGAST GMC NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. NOT A WAY TO DO BUSINESS, we will advertise for them every day, THAT IS A PROMISE.. GM is notified with all the letters back and forth.. It was recommended to me to get a tune up, the tune up was priced at like $200 and it only included spark plugs!? That's ridiculous. The. It was recommended I get my fluids drained and changed.... I inquired about my timing belt and it being replaced. I was never given an actual price for the timing belt replacement but a total price of all the things recommended to me. Which totaled over $2,400. There's no way I could afford that. I feel like those services are way over priced. My husband said we will be taking my car somewhere else for those services. Sorry. Keith in the Service Department seems like a slime ball. I brought my 2015 regal in for a tire rotation. The morning of the service I found a small plastic bit on the floor under the passenger seat. It had obviously just fallen off of a seat rail. Instead of putting it back on myself, I tossed it in the cup holder and figured I'd have someone at the dealership clip it back on. When I mentioned this to Keith, he tried to tell me that sometimes there are just "extra clips" in a car. Even if it were true, which it isn't, wouldn't someone have found the extra clip sometime in the last almost 3 years of this car's existence? The Regal's trunk has to be shut quite hard in order for it to latch. After trying out the trunk on another regal that was on the lot and finding it easy to latch, I asked Keith to please have someone check it out. He then informed me that they wouldn't have time, as I had only been scheduled for a tire rotation that morning. I would understand that, except he had already tried to upsell me an oil change, which I didn't need, and I overheard him telling a guy that he needed new brakes all around on his truck, which weren't scheduled, but they would change them anyway right now. So clearly there was some wiggle room in their schedule. At least there would have been enough time for them to acknowledge my hard to shut trunk was a real thing. After the rotation was done, Keith informed me that there was no way to adjust the trunk latching mechanism anyway, so the other car must have just been "different" Lastly, the "technician" Chris who rotated my tires forgot to reprogram the positions to the TPMS, so had to turn around after having left the dealership, and return to make them finish the job. The only reason I've been not rotating tired myself is for this reprogramming. The icing on the cake was that Keith didn't even offer me a soda at the drink bar, but he sure offered the guy who came in after me a complimentary refreshment. There is nothing like being on the short end of the hospitality stick to highlight the all around poor performance I received from the Dave Arbogast Service Department. read more

Recently I purchased a used vehicle from this lot. Only took a couple days before the CEL came on. The car started to idle very roughly and a day or two later it started making a loud whistle sound. I had to replace a $110 solenoid within the first week. As soon as I replaced the solenoid I checked the oil filter and it was also missing the cap stem. Now that will cost me $40 extra. After coming to a deal over the phone (6-11-18 )for a Blue Cascada (hard to find color), we were told after offering a deposit, "that's ok, that's not necessary." Later that evening, (about 6:30pm) we get a call from the dealership that "someone" was interested in "test driving" this car in the A.M. After pushing back that a deal had been made, we were told, too bad they had accepted a "deposit." There was nothing they were willing to do except, "I could buy the white one on the lot", which I can get all day long in Columbus Ohio. I found a used car I liked on a Saturday morning. When I returned from my test drive, Kevin told me he couldn't sell it to me because they thought there might be something wrong with it. They worked with the factory service department of another dealer, had it checked out, and called me. It was OK. I drove it home that night. I purchased a park model from Dave Arbogast and that part was easy... My sales rep said if anything was wrong with the unit it would be fixed ASAP without a hassle. Once the rig was set up at my site we found several issues.... I have received nothing but grief from the staff at Arbogast... they say "I'll call you right back"and never do... months have passed and nothing has been resolved.. I finally said if they fix my sound bar I'll hire someone to fix the rest of the issues... I even took the broken sound bar into their location back around the first week in September... I was told a couple of weeks ago it was back in the shop and that they were shipping it to my address in Florida... I never received it. read more

I dealt with several salesmen all of which petered out before actually accomplishing any real business. Often they simply would not follow through with providing the information I asked for. We may talk on the phone a couple of times or email back and forth a few times but when it came down to actually providing me with information I needed they would simply stop returning calls and emails. I was very lucky to finally connect with Buck Buxton. He was the only one that actually returned all my emails and phone calls with the information I requested.
