We had such a fun time!! My husband and I have done one escape room before, and our 7 yo son wanted to try one. We had trouble finding a place that would allow kids under 10 other than in a private room. Escape Pro was welcoming to him and we had an excellent experience. We booked a 10 am reservation. I had questions the night before and messaged the business, and someone responded right away. The intake experience was great - the place is very organized and professional looking. They also have a waiting area with games - giant Jenga and cornhole -which is a great bonus. We ended up in a group with 2 other adults and 2 8 yo kids. Having three kids was great, for the most part, because the adults weren't in a rush and we were all there for the kids. If we had been really trying to kick butt and get out fast, it would've been annoying and the kids would've felt left out. But it worked great for our group. (If they don't already have one, I think a "no kids past 5 pm" rule would be good just so everyone can decide what they're signing up for.) The kids were not really solving the clues, but my husband was coaching them to try and help them along. Frankly, the kids were happy just to open locks when the grown ups found codes. They felt like they were participating and they all had fun. I also appreciated that nothing in the room was scary. I also like the system for hints. You get three fee hints, after which each one costs you 3 minutes. There is no one from Escape Pro in the room (which made me feel less dumb trying to find my way through). We used two. The person giving the hints can see you, but not hear you, and it's fine. Our first hint was: "I see you're using This. You need both This and That." They did a good job of making sure we got our hour's worth but stood a fighting chance of finishing, too. Love that Escape Pro had so many signs at the end, and great backdrops. Really fun! We did the Time Machine as our first ever escape room. It was challenging (we may have bit off more than we were ready for our first time ever by choosing this intermediate level room) but we still made it out shortly after our time expired! Without spoilers, let me just say there was more to it than you first think. A lot of thought went into the room, creative clues that got progressively more challenging. Lots of different types of clues, verbal, visual and more that I can't say without giving things away. The place was attractively decorated, the staff supportive and attentive. Would help us out when stuck without giving too much away so we still got the fun of figuring it out for ourselves. Set this up as a surprise date for our anniversary...great couple's activity! This is by far our favorite escape room to come to! Stephanie and Donna are amazing and genuinely want you to have a great experience while you are there. My son and I have done two or three rooms on our own and now two with my husband there as well, and we've had fun each time! The rooms are well themed, but I like that they have a logical order so that you know if you get from one thing to the next thing, you are on the right track. There are lots of other things in the rooms to try to throw you off track, but that just makes it more fun and makes you be sure to focus. We typically have been able to have a room to ourselves as well, which I prefer because I think it might be a little challenging to do an escape room with people you didn't know at all. I also really appreciate that they often do specials and try to help make it affordable for families. Their sign wall is fun at the end as well! The Hangover: We stopped by on a whim to see if they had any rooms, and we ended up in this one. Once inside, we immediately noticed the decor inside and laughed a bit with it and asked some questions about the props we'd be spending the next bit of time with. Overall, things were fairly easy, but the theme made things fun and glad to have stopped by (and then grabbed a drink next door). Theme:This made me laugh - it is a little risque for children, but I could imagine adults with an open mind quite enjoy this room. Quality:Things worked great - and there were some nice things in there bring things together. Difficulty:We are all quite experienced with escape rooms, so this was a breeze for us (but still fun). Fun:The theme and decoration really is what made this fun. ======== Gods of Egypt: First off, we didn't escape this room, but we did get to finish the puzzles when we were done, which was nice. The biggest detractor for me was around the quality of the room - some of the puzzles were just tricky not because we didn't know what to do, but because they were difficult to position properly. Also, stray markings made us think things were there when they clearly were not. The story was okay, parts of the theme were neat and different from things I've seen before, and I'm glad we gave it a shot. Theme:Parts of the room were great, others were very generic and seemed like you were in an office. There were some great elements and some not. Quality:Some things were hard to use, either because it was difficult to do as intended, or because of stray marks that distracted and made you think something was there that wasn't. Difficulty:Our biggest part was not paying attention to directions, which made things harder than they needed to be. Also, one of the puzzles was confusing on what you needed to do and took way more time that it probably should have. I've been to a couple Escape Rooms across the US (SF, Chicago, and Seattle) and finally decided to try one in the DFW area. There are ton of Escape Room businesses in the DFW area to choose from but we decided to try this one based on the availability and black Friday deal. They have 5 different scenarios to choose from. pricing is typical but with a promo code, it is very affordable $15-$20. Wednesday and Tuesday is half off with their promo code. ($14 per person) We chose the Pirates scenario. The decorations in the room were decent but could have been better. The room had mostly logic puzzles which were mostly fun but a few were a little too abstract to solve without help. One element I wish they had thought through was having multiple puzzles to solve. I think the most fun I've had in escape rooms are keeping all players involved, when there are more than 4 people in a room. Only a few players can really stay interactive and solve a puzzle. Overall, the experience was good but could be even bette with some improved details and increased technology (using electronic triggers or lasers) to open items instead of locks). I have never had such an appalling experience with an escape room before. I have experience many different rooms in the dfw area, so I knew the drill. I made sure that my friend and I were at the location 15 minutes early, in the event that we needed to sign any paperwork. We made it at about 7.45 for an 8 o'clock room. This was our plan for the night and we were happy to be enjoying a night out. After a few minutes a woman comes to greet us and says it's going to be a few minutes, which i was fine with. It's now 8 o'clock and we are left in an empty lobby with no inclination of when we will get to go into our room. around 8.20 one of the women (there were two and I couldn't tell them apart) finally comes into the lobby with a hoard of people. they are laughing and having a good time. We are now rather unhappy as its 20 minutes past the time we should have been going back to play. by 8.25 the people have now left the lobby and one of the women has decided to grace us another "it's just going to be a few more minutes." Of course I am annoyed and let her know that that is the 2nd time she's said that to us and it's almost 30 minutes past. I guess she didn't take to kindly to that as she walked away and told the other woman that we were frustrated. At this point the 2nd woman is now in front of me and my friend telling us this sob story about the people who were before us and how they gave them extra time. She then said it's going to be two more minutes and walks back to her counter. I look at my friend and roll my eyes, and then the woman decided to very loudly "talk" to us from across the room at how she can give us a refund and how we "don't have to do the room". As I am trying to decide with my friend what to do next, this woman is cutting me off and loudly telling me all i can do. At that point the woman just decided for us to give us our refunds and not do the room. If I am being completely honest, it felt like she was kicking us out. As we were getting out money back I had mention to go find another room and she started to let us know of all the other locations, of which we told her she didn't not have to tell us. I/we, will NOT be returning. I did not go out to get deemened for requesting a service i had payed for. As a business, you should make a habit of kicking people out. A more appropriate response would have been to offer us a new room, apologize and given us a redemption try with them... anything other than practically kicking us out as they had. Would give 0 stars but had to give st least 1. read more

Update as of 1/17: I am still waiting for this company/owner to reach out to me. Guess they are still trying to "get familiar with the situation" First experience at this location and I am disgusted with it in its entirety tonight. I am writing this as I ride back to Arlington to go home with my plans ruined. My best friend and me booked our spaces online ahead of showing up the standard 10-15 minutes before our go time. (Not our first rodeo at an escape room) We are greeted with an empty lobby where we waited for a woman to show up. She was very bubbly and gave us false hope that we would be starting our room soon. It's about 7:45 and our room started at 8. She tells us that the group before us would be finishing up soon and they would reset the room. She said this would all take about 10 minutes and we say no problem cause there is still 15 minutes before our time. The lady then helps another group and goes off where we don't see her again until about 8:05. Friend and I are getting a little stir crazy because it's past out start time. Another group finishes there room (I guess) and we see the lady come out to take their picture and she tells us it'll be just another few minutes so we sit on the couch and wait. It's now about 8:15-8:20 and another family comes out and the lady (or another lady cause the two workers/owners look like twins) is chatting at the front with them. I choose at this time to approach the front and ask why we haven't been taken to our room yet. The woman tells me the group before us went over their time and I would like 2-3 minutes and then we could go. I begin to accept this answer because we had waited in their lobby for 35 minutes already anyway (and drove 30 minutes to be here). The other lady comes to the front and the first lady tells her that we are getting frustrated because we are having to wait for our room (8:25 now). One of them comes over to the couch we are sitting on to inform us that they chose to let the group before us have extra time because it was essentially just a little 11 year old boy doing the room alone and his grandma wasn't helping him. I'm not heartless but I wish we would have been asked if that was okay with us or been offered to play a different room that was available. Instead, my friend begins to get frustrated with their excuses and their brushing our waiting off. The First lady begins raising her voice and telling us if we don't want to wait then we don't have to play the room. She, still voice raised, says she'll refund our money and we can go home. She says there is nothing else that she could/would do. In my opinion, there was more she could have done; all customers at your establishment should be treated with respect and should be given the services the pay for. I (and my friend) payed to play an escape room that would start at 8 and last 60 minutes. The only escape room that I got was me trying to escape this customer service nightmare. I am so glad that we did not reach out to our friends and invite them tonight. I would be so embarrassed if we had invited them to this establishment. Nothing was done to remedy the situation, we reluctantly accepted our money back and I can't imagine we will be returning to this place. We were hopeful in finding a new set of rooms for us to do because we have done so many in the dfw area already. None of the others have treated anywhere near this poorly. 0/10 or 0 stars read more

Not as good as other escape rooms I have been to, but still a lot of fun. 3 star for poor staffing and the rooms were not well kept. The staff do not answer when you ask for hints. You will need a hint in both of the games we played because of logic leaps. Wash your hands after playing here. Get it on sale, it is worth it then. If you are going to pay full, go somewhere else. We did the pirate room and the cartel room. Pirate room is very easy, don't take more than 3 people for that one. Cartel had some really fun challenges, but some broken props. This place is right in the middle of quality and price. It is next to a bar, which is a plus. We went late at night, the crowd that was there was not PG, but you should not have that problem earlier in the day. read more

Had such a fun time doing the wizard school of magic escape room. Loved all the details and the overall feel of the room. There was one part of the escape room where we were stuck and the game master realized they forgot to set up that one part. She was so friendly about it and ended up giving us more time so I wasn't even upset about us having to wait a minute for the game to be adjusted. The ladies that worked there had us cracking up and we will for sure be back for more. We escaped with about 20 minutes to spare, but the things we had to do in the room were awesome and not boring at all like some other rooms I have been to! read more

This is a very well-run escape room with a lot of thought and dedication put into their rooms. The couples that run the place are very friendly and you can tell they love the work they've put in to making this place great. The rooms might be a little frustrating for larger groups (6+) since there isn't always something for everyone to do, but for 2-4 people, it's perfect. They have it together with multiple rooms and themes and varied challenge levels. We did the Pirates and the Outlaw rooms. Our two groups were all ages. We escaped both with time to spare. Our first visit, my husband and I booked a room with other players. We have done over 70 rooms across the mextroplex and several across the nation. We enjoy meeting new people and having other skill sets involved to make the room more fun. The three people we booked with waited until it was time to go into the room and proceeded to tell the owners they didn't want us in the room, they had hoped to do it alone. This group knew we had booked with them for almost an hour and never mentioned having us do a different room or not wanting us do the room as a team. The owners apologized profusely, even though it wasn't their fault at all, the players knew other people could book in their room if they did not book the whole room for themselves. However, the owners went above and beyond to accommodate us! Their professionalism and kindness was absolutely wonderful! They not only went above and beyond to have us return for our experience, but since then, we've done every room they offer, some more than once because we brought in friends from out of town because we have enjoyed their rooms so much. The rooms here are laid out flawlessly and intelligently! This makes them challenging and so much more enjoyable than others across the city! We love the details of the rooms and that it always flows so well as your experience progresses. We've done so many escape rooms and we have come to expect a certain level of difficulty, intellect, and organization to the rooms. This establishment meets all of our expectations and so much more. The staff is no exception, they have been our favorite game masters and we look forward to each new room they open! If you're looking for a great date night, night out with friends, or a group activity, give Escape Pro a go, it does not disappoint! As I sit in my car after playing 5 of their rooms all I can think to myself is - WOW! This place literally has it all. The owners are absolutely fantastic, the rooms are well immersed and have great/fun puzzles, and they even have an awesome game room if you still want to hangout after your game is over! 5 stars doesn't do this place justice because I wish I could give so many more. Had never done this before so thought we'd try on a lark. Started with a beginner room and was able to get it done. Challenging, but not too hard for a first time. If you cannot drive out of the area to a better escape room, this one will do the trick. It is better than the Escapexperience down the road. I am not sure if they are the same company, but their rooms are about the same difficulty, and just as poorly planned out. Escape Pro is better decorated than the other place, but both use radios to communicate with you. This is annoying, especially at Pro where they never seem to be around to answer you when you want a hint. There are some puzzles that make no sense, but you can usually just jailbreak a lock in those instances. Played time machine, there was no real story just a bunch of Game of Thrones props. They should have went straight rip off and made it "throne of games" or something so that it made some sense. We beat it with 10 minutes left, still don't know what the point was. Overall, when you can find the staff, they are kind and fun to talk to. The venue has nice decor compared to some other places. The rooms are not very good compared to others in the area, but you should still have fun. read more

This is without a doubt the best escape room I've been to, the staff is amazing and the escape rooms' themes are prodigiously thought out, where you really have to use your wits to get out. I truly enjoyed the magnanimous variety in themes they had to offer and was quite fascinated with the marvelous ingenuity, and attention to detail put into every single object and every single room the place had to offer. If you are looking for an unbelievable adventure, intertwined in avant-garde riddles and puzzles this is definitely the place to go. For all you guys looking for a bold, daring place to take out your lady, this makes for a perfect first date experience, or maybe a celebratory event like a birthday. To conclude my review this is undoubtedly a must go location in the escape room realm, as I have been to several in the DFW metroplex, and a perfect starting place if you have never had the chance to experience one for yourself. read more
