Went in for an escape room experience with some friends, including three kids, and it was a really fun time! Our puzzle master, Jamie, did a great job of explaining the process before we got started, and I do appreciate that the door is unlocked so you can come and go as needed (didn't have to, but I remember when that wasn't the case!). We did the Witch's Cauldron, which was a really fun room to work with. Of course without giving anything away, everything was pretty clear in terms of what was next, and clues came way in handy when we asked for them, which was easily done by just saying so while looking at a camera. I think this was their newest room, but the first one I'd been to. I thought it was really well done, and everyone was engaged throughout. I especially prefer the rooms where there's a lot that needs to be done, so people can split up doing stuff rather than everyone crowding around one puzzle. I'd love to try another room there sometime! read more

Came here on a rainy and chilly Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend and 11-year-old son. It was the first time ever trying an escape room for all of us. The rooms are $32 per person (no discounts for children or weekday pricing), and with tax the total price for the three of us was $102.36. David was our game master and did a great job of explaining everything to us before we started and quickly feeding us clues during the game when we asked. We did the Egyptian Tomb: Imhotep's Curse because it felt the most like we were in Indiana Jones. I wish we had known there were actually two rooms, so that I might have budgeted my time better and asked for clues a little sooner. Alas, we did not escape the room(s), but it was still a great experience and it was all very well designed. I think we are all itching to come back for redemption, so we'll definitely return and give one of the other rooms a shot. read more

First of all, the staff was absolutely amazing when it came to customer service! My friends and I booked a room awhile back. Due to snow, and we were all traveling over an hour to get there, we had to cancel the day of. Emailed to let them know, first email back, from Jeff, was "no problem, would you like to reschedule?" We rescheduled, it snows AGAIN! Same. Sent a email, and again, no problem, would you like a credit or reschedule. So we rebooked and FINALLY made it. We did Witch's Cauldron. We did not make it out :-( But we did have a great time. Some of the puzzles were a bit challenging, and we did have to ask for three clues. The only item I would mention, for those familiar with escape rooms, some items are used more than once, which, the game master may have mentioned and we just missed it, which caused us to lose a bunch of time because we've never done a room that used items more than one time :-) We will definitely be going back! read more

My group (6 adults) and I completed the Egyptian Tomb adventure. The art designs and architecture felt well executed. We finished the room in just under 45minutes without any hints from the game master. I'd go back to try out some of the other rooms. read more

Me and my boyfriend and my brother and his fiancé all went to this escape room on Valentine's Day to play billionaires den. It was an amazing room and we had an amazing game master ( Michelle ). She was amazing and very fun to have as a game master. ( my brother has a habit of asking for clues) and she turned that into a hilarious experience. I can't remember the name of the room we did, but it involved trying to escape from a mad scientist. There were 6 of us in the room and I think that was the perfect number. The game was straightforward and offered easy to very hard puzzles to solve. If you get stuck, you can get a hint. We ended up getting 5-6 hints throughout. If you escape, you get to write your team name in the winners wall. Overall, a good experience. read more

Came today with a group of 7 and successfully made it out the Egyptian themed room with just 43 seconds to spare! The game runner Anna was very cheerful and super helpful in walking us through the logistics. She was quick on the draw whenever we needed a clue too. This was one of the Beat escape rooms I've ever been too. This place is Jersey's hidden gem. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend going in a group more than 2. Because its very Challenging but even though it was only 2 of us when i went here it was very fun we did good, or should i say my date did good lol. I will be definitely coming back. read more

There were surprises around every corner that kept us engaged and made us think critically and creatively. Dave was awesome in giving us hints and clues when we wanted, but was that tactful in his delivery when we wanted guidance on a puzzle and not the actual way to solve it. Great experience. Worth the price of admission...finished all 4 rooms. Sorry cant remember staff names but they were great. Only recommendation is changing one of the props in the imhotep curse room because it didn't seem to fit room and thus we ignored it. The escape room was wayyyy to scary! BOO! Liek that scary. I brought my two toddlers Jim and Tim they were horrified at the sights they seen! In the scientists lab there was a scary bald guy that frightened me and my kids! We ran out of the room in a panic after only 30 minutes! We tried it a second time but it only got worse we tired the billionaires den. Sounds not scary right? WRONG! My kids were horrified at the flickering lights and it even gave me a fright. My kids were horrified at the sound of the so called "uncle" speaking( who was also bald). It was the cheapest escape room around so we gave it another try. We tried the Egyptian tomb one next. It was so scary! There were mummy's everywhere! What a scary evening! We took one look at the room and cartwheeled outta there! Nuh uh not this super mom! We gave them one last shot hoping they could get their things together! We tried Area 51 seems the most innocent of all of them right! WELP WRONG AGAIN! It was spooooky! I found myself shaking in my boots. My bones were rattling. I could not believe my eyes. My kids and I thought we were at our demise! I just wanted fries! The game master heard our cries. My family (husband, two sons (11 and 8), and myself) did all four rooms here. We LOVED them all! The staff is super friendly, the rooms were challenging but not impossible, they give you the choice of how you want to play (hints whenever the game master thinks you are stuck versus you asking for a hint when you want one). We have done a lot of escape rooms and Escape Room Mystery is our favorite! They let you sign the wall when you finish a room, give you a magnetic puzzle piece for the room you complete, and they gave us each a color changing mug because we completed all four rooms. We came to Escape Room Mystery on a whim when our cousins came to visit. We chose the Egyptian Tomb room and it was sooo fun!! I've done escape rooms before but this one had some surprises that we were not expecting which made it so much more interesting. Our host Alyssa was awesome and made it extra fun for us. My family loves escape rooms. We always try do one at least once every few months. It was my brother's birthday request to visit Escape Room Mystery. We did the Billionaire's Den. We had a group of 7 and I think that was a great amount as the room didn't feel crowded, and everyone was able to work on a separate area. I can't by any means say that this room was easy, but I will say if you have a lot of experience with escape rooms it probably won't be the most challenging room you've ever done. Nevertheless, the game master was awesome and the room was very fun. Making it out of course always will make it that much more enjoyable, but even if we hadn't, I still think we would have enjoyed ourselves. Definitely will be back at some point! read more
