Our puzzle master, Jamie, did a great job of explaining the process before we got started, and I do appreciate that the door is unlocked so you can come and go as needed (didn't have to, but I remember when that wasn't the case!). We did the Witch's Cauldron, which was a really fun room to work with. Of course without giving anything away, everything was pretty clear in terms of what was next, and clues came way in handy when we asked for them, which was easily done by just saying so while looking at a camera. I think this was their newest room, but the first one I'd been to. I thought it was really well done, and everyone was engaged throughout. I especially prefer the rooms where there's a lot that needs to be done, so people can split up doing stuff rather than everyone crowding around one puzzle. I'd love to try another room there sometime!

The rooms are $32 per person (no discounts for children or weekday pricing), and with tax the total price for the three of us was $102.36. David was our game master and did a great job of explaining everything to us before we started and quickly feeding us clues during the game when we asked. We did the Egyptian Tomb: Imhotep's Curse because it felt the most like we were in Indiana Jones. I wish we had known there were actually two rooms, so that I might have budgeted my time better and asked for clues a little sooner. Alas, we did not escape the room(s), but it was still a great experience and it was all very well designed. I think we are all itching to come back for redemption, so we'll definitely return and give one of the other rooms a shot.

In fact we will probably come back here to do another room and we wouldn't bother if it had not been for how friendly the staff is, especially (but not exclusively) someone named Jack. Seriously, whomever owns/runs this place, take note: you need to give this man a raise, because without him and the other people working there, we would never come back. We did the horror/spooky themed room "The Estate" which is fairly high tech in many ways. Lots of really cool digital effects, in theory a very well designed room. Unfortunately our *very first* two puzzles did not function properly. One of the very first doors that is meant to spring open didn't do so; it popped open a crack but we couldn't pull it open easily and given the rules to never force things open, we didn't want to pull it HARD, which it turns out we should have. Also, after solving the very first puzzle, a door that was supposed to spring open did not do so. They have a rule that you cannot ask for a hint for the first ten minutes, so for ten minutes we milled around feeling stupid until we finally asked for a clue that literally spelled out how to solve the next major puzzle - and when we did, a door opened with a prop hidden inside that had *the way to solve the puzzle we just solved* written inside of it. So that was pretty damned frustrating. Certain other things were a bit off here and there, but the deisgn and concept were very immersive so ultimately we let it go and as a duo of only two we managed to finish with ten minutes left (but it would have been more if we hadn't wasted the first ten.) If this place could get it's sh*t together to not have broken puzzles/doors/portions, they'd probably avoid these negative reviews. My advice: come here, give it a try, but say to your gamemaster before you start "I have read some recent reviews saying that some puzzles and traps are having problems. Can you please be very attentive during our experience and make sure nothing goes wrong, and if it does, help to correct it quickly?"

I went online and made reservations, you can use debit or credit. I received a response shortly after submitting the booking request. The staff sends you reminders once you book, the closer you get to your reservation window. COVID-19 precautions are practiced here. All of the equipment is sterilized, after use. So its clean when it's your turn to put the gear on. Since the VR goggles are worn on your face, you are given a disposable mask to put on that sits between your VR goggles and your face. The goggles never touch your face. There are several choices of games to pick from. Ranging from Easy to Hard. My wife and I had never played VR type games before. Our fun here was worth the price of admission! I suggest getting here a few minutes before your scheduled time. The staff has to set you up and get you positioned. I wish I had way more time here because there was so much I wanted to try…read more Time Mission has a bunch of individual rooms, and each room has a completely different game or challenge. Some are more cognitive and puzzle-based, while others test strength, balance, dexterity, coordination, communication, or just how well you can function under pressure lol. You get the directions on a screen outside each room, then scan your wristband to get in and start the challenge. Your wristband gives you an hour, but the time actually counts while you're inside the rooms, so you can move around and pick what you want to try. I definitely recommend looking around first because there are SO many different things. My favorites were the Floor Is Lava game with the ropes in the middle and the pipe-balancing challenge. There was also this giant bouncy ball room where you have to hit all the buttons, which was WAY more fun than it sounds. Obviously I loved the game where you have to hit the blue dots on the ground while making sure the red doesn't touch you. It's basically the Floor Is Lava concept that they advertise everywhere, and yes, it absolutely lives up to the hype. Give me a giant interactive floor and tell me not to touch something and apparently I'm five years old again. There were also some genuinely funny puzzle games, a mini escape-room-style challenge, and a bunch of other rooms that I didn't even get enough time to try. That's honestly my only complaint: I ran out of time before I could do everything I wanted. And the STAFF. 10/10. Seriously. We were there toward the end of the day and ended up running out of time. The staff member working with us found out it was our first time there and actually unlocked the advertised run-and-jump game so we could try it before leaving. He absolutely did not have to do that, and I really appreciated it. I don't know if he was the manager or owner, but whoever he was, he was AWESOME. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to want us to have a good experience rather than just watching the clock and sending us out the door. That kind of customer service makes such a difference, especially at an activity where you're already trying to figure out how everything works for the first time. I can't gush enough about this place. It's active, silly, challenging, competitive, and just ridiculously fun. You can use your brain, your body, your coordination, or apparently your ability to panic when a red light appears on the floor. I already know I need to come back because one hour was NOT enough. I will say it was a little pricey for what it is, especially since some of the rooms aren't super high-tech, but overall it was still a really fun activity and I'm glad I got to experience it. The workers were also really nice and helpful. There are a lot of fun photo opportunities throughout the place, including a few with professional cameras that were completely free! Their room reservation system is pretty forgiving. I liked the way it worked; my wife and I paid up front for just the two of us and this reserved the whole room for just our group. At that point they said we could invite up to 8 more people and just have them pay on-site! This made it much easier to plan since it can sometimes be awkward to chase your friends for money. We just told a couple friends to bring whoever they want and if they don't show they don't pay, so nobody gets left holding the bill! We did the "Upside Down" (stranger things themed) escape room. I won't spoil any details but I highly recommend it! They put a lot of thought into making clever puzzles that were a little "outside the box". This one is probably a little difficult if you've never done an escape room before, so I wouldn't recommend this particular room for beginners. That said, they do have other rooms that vary in difficulty; look on their website to find one that fits your group's skill level! There were a lot of puzzles and locks for us to figure out, so we all had something to do at any given time. There was only one puzzle I would have to say wasn't particularly intuitive, but we had so many people with so many points of view that it didn't even slow us down. They currently take online reservations only and they unlock the front door fifteen minutes before your start time, so take that into account. The strip mall they are in is extremely run down, but there is a nice bar next door to enjoy a celebratory drink when you're done.

We chose the hardest room, the Vampires Lair. From the moment we stepped through the door our hearts were pumping, because like I said the setting was spot on. The quality of craftsmanship created a fully immersive atmosphere that added to the excitement. I couldn't believe how much team effort it took to do one of these but I will say, regardless of the group dynamic going in, this experience will force you to work well together (if you want to succeed). Sadly 2 people bailed last minute so we only had 4 people and despite failing (we didn't make it by 2 puzzles arggg) it was so much fun but here's a small tip, make sure you have at least 6 people.
