We have previously had an amazing experience, I even held my son's birthday party here over five years ago. There were five of us and we did two rooms and the first room (Sorcerer) we kept getting told everything was "finicky" to the point that the game master had to actually progress the puzzle because it wasn't working for us. The other "finicky" part of the room we had to be told exactly which way certain things had to line up to make the game move forward. The second room (Murder Mystery) we did, although better, had to have a game master come in partway through because something was activated that shouldn't have been that we were told "distracted" us from the gameplay we should have been doing. I expressed my frustration to our game master after the first room and the only response was, "I'm sorry that was your experience but we hope you had a little bit of fun anyway." Five people, two rooms, $320 absolutely wasted.

Unfortunately the only shortcoming is the price. We enjoyed our time but none of us thought it was worth the $25/person, maybe at most $15-20 experience. We also understand they have to make a profit somehow. Maybe a better discount for big groups would be nice. We did enjoy working together to figure out the clues, probably will not do again due to price but would recommend for everyone to try it at least once!

Their room reservation system is pretty forgiving. I liked the way it worked; my wife and I paid up front for just the two of us and this reserved the whole room for just our group. At that point they said we could invite up to 8 more people and just have them pay on-site! This made it much easier to plan since it can sometimes be awkward to chase your friends for money. We just told a couple friends to bring whoever they want and if they don't show they don't pay, so nobody gets left holding the bill! We did the "Upside Down" (stranger things themed) escape room. I won't spoil any details but I highly recommend it! They put a lot of thought into making clever puzzles that were a little "outside the box". This one is probably a little difficult if you've never done an escape room before, so I wouldn't recommend this particular room for beginners. That said, they do have other rooms that vary in difficulty; look on their website to find one that fits your group's skill level! Once you're done, there's a pretty cool VR Arcade next door, and a very mediocre Mexican restaurant that I highly recommend avoiding at all costs. In fact we will probably come back here to do another room and we wouldn't bother if it had not been for how friendly the staff is, especially (but not exclusively) someone named Jack. Seriously, whomever owns/runs this place, take note: you need to give this man a raise, because without him and the other people working there, we would never come back. We did the horror/spooky themed room "The Estate" which is fairly high tech in many ways. Lots of really cool digital effects, in theory a very well designed room. Unfortunately our *very first* two puzzles did not function properly. One of the very first doors that is meant to spring open didn't do so; it popped open a crack but we couldn't pull it open easily and given the rules to never force things open, we didn't want to pull it HARD, which it turns out we should have. Also, after solving the very first puzzle, a door that was supposed to spring open did not do so. They have a rule that you cannot ask for a hint for the first ten minutes, so for ten minutes we milled around feeling stupid until we finally asked for a clue that literally spelled out how to solve the next major puzzle - and when we did, a door opened with a prop hidden inside that had *the way to solve the puzzle we just solved* written inside of it. So that was pretty damned frustrating. Certain other things were a bit off here and there, but the deisgn and concept were very immersive so ultimately we let it go and as a duo of only two we managed to finish with ten minutes left (but it would have been more if we hadn't wasted the first ten.) If this place could get it's sh*t together to not have broken puzzles/doors/portions, they'd probably avoid these negative reviews. My advice: come here, give it a try, but say to your gamemaster before you start "I have read some recent reviews saying that some puzzles and traps are having problems. Can you please be very attentive during our experience and make sure nothing goes wrong, and if it does, help to correct it quickly?"

Overall, we escaped with lots of confusion and how things got activated. When asked, they stated that they were having lots of mechanical problems. I went online and made reservations, you can use debit or credit. I received a response shortly after submitting the booking request. The staff sends you reminders once you book, the closer you get to your reservation window. COVID-19 precautions are practiced here. All of the equipment is sterilized, after use. So its clean when it's your turn to put the gear on. Since the VR goggles are worn on your face, you are given a disposable mask to put on that sits between your VR goggles and your face. The goggles never touch your face. There are several choices of games to pick from. Ranging from Easy to Hard. My wife and I had never played VR type games before. Our fun here was worth the price of admission! I suggest getting here a few minutes before your scheduled time. The staff has to set you up and get you positioned. Of course failure in this instance is an accepted result for fun. Our host David, was great in setting up the event and moderating our experience. Our group was setup with the room was closely matched the experience in our group. The tasks involved might have been a little much for the three person group I was in, I'd say a group of four to six is probably best for escaping without help and on time. David informed us of new rooms in progress, including an adult themed crime scene room in the works. There is also a hatchet throwing setup available which I didn't partake in. The costs are fair for the rooms they have. I'd surely be up for another escape (or failure) soon.
