This place is SO much fun! My now boyfriend and I went to EscapeWorks on our first date and had a blast. Jen was really funny checking us in and did a great job setting up the story for the room. We didn't solve it, but we were SO close (it was also a second level difficulty and it was both of our first times trying an escape room). We went back again for Valentine's Day and, again, Jen checked us in. We did the Egyptian Tomb room this time (level one) and had two other couples with us this time. We beat the room with under two minutes to spare! Definitely recommend starting with an easier room, or having more people with you if you go for the harder rooms first, but nonetheless, highly recommend EscapeWorks Denver! Also, use the parking garage off of 16th and Champa, only $6 for parking Mon-Fri. read more

I want to give it a better review because I love escape rooms but NEVER have I been forced to be with another group. I had 7 people for a family fun evening night out but they ended up; without any warning ahead when booking the room, that there would be 13 people! 13 people!! Let me tell you it was INSANE! All those people in a small cramped room trying to find clues not knowing each other. It was like going on an unknown blind date. Lots of screaming and miscommunication. I almost paid $200 bucks for a hour in a room with people I had no idea who they were. If you're going to charge $27/person stop trying to ruin people's experience to cram as much money in a room as possible. Would not suggest this to any other group or would not go again. There are others that are cheaper and you probably can stay and work with your own group. read more

Very disappointed. My fiancé and I have done many escape rooms across the country and love it. It's a staple on any vacation. Very excited to do this room from other puzzle enthusiasts. We booked the Casino Heist room. The 2 of us were 10 minutes into the room and 4 other participants arrived late - a mom and 3 boys. I have never been to an escape room that has allowed people to come in late? 6 was way too cramped We spent the next 50 minutes with the boys arguing over who's turn it was to open the next clue, being obnoxious and not allowing us to touch any of the clues. There should be an age minimum because one of the children was much too young to be playing and one was questionable. I would not recommend this experience. read more

Came from out of town with my luggage excited to do an escape room in Denver. As I climbed up the long flight of stairs to the entrance we were apprehended by a bearded employee who asked us what we were doing? We told him we'd like to do an escape room and he told us rudely that you can only book online, as if we were suppose to know. We then asked if we did book a room if it would be private and he rudely replied "if you pay for private!" I don't understand why he was so rude and we did not feel our business was wanted at all. We left disappointed because that bearded employee represented that company horribly! I am a huge escape room fan and will NOT be doing any rooms with this company. read more

This place is seriously so fun. The amount of detail they put into their rooms is just amazing. The employees are all so nice and do a great job of setting up the story for you. We did war games and beyond the flower shop. I won't spoil anything but I have to say beyond the flower shop was one of the absolute best escape rooms I've ever done! Seriously so much fun and you really feel immersed in the story. Follow their facebook to see when they have promotions going on. They recently had a deal that was $15 a person. EscapeWorks provided my first two escape rooms (Egyptian Tomb and Outbreak) and I have to say I had a blast. For the Tomb, I went with just myself and Girlfriend and we managed to make our way through the whole thing and escape with plenty of time to spare. I loved the immersion (low light level like you're exploring a tomb) and puzzles in the room and the way they flowed together. For Outbreak we added my sister to the party since it was a way harder room. We failed but only barely. The room and puzzles were very different and way harder from the Tomb and it lived up to its 15% success rate. Even in failure, I felt like it was a fun experience. The only complaint I have is in Outbreak, one of the late game clues was unlocked and available from the beginning which sent us down a rabbit hole until the host paused the game for a minute to "fix" the lock. This probably caused us to fail because we spent a good 5-7 minutes before on that. If we had gotten those 5 minutes back for the end, we probably would have found what we needed to escaped. The Host did commend us for coming that close for a room built for 8-12 people with only 3. We still have a few more rooms to try but I'd highly recommend checking them out. EscapeWorks put a lot of effort into building compelling and fun rooms from what I've seen. read more

So good! Our team of 12 found this place through a basic online search and couldn't be more pleased. The room was engaging, creative, interactive, challenging, but also attainable. AND it was ideal for a larger group. It can be hard to find an escape room that can manage more than about 6 folks. Excellent team-building experience. We also met the owner and co-creator of the rooms who was super friendly; he was there the whole time! Highly recommend. (We did Outbreak... and beat it!) read more

On vacation and had some time to kill before taking someone to the airport. Decided to try Escape Works. I am glad we did. We were able to have all 11 of us in one room I've been to 2 different Escape Rooms and had mixed experiences. Escape works was definitely better than the previous 2. Our game master, Dana, was exceptional. She guided us through the game without giving it to us. We had an absolute blast and couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was. What a great experience!! I was in charge of providing a bit of entertainment for our crowd existing of 4 adults and 4 youngsters (12, 10, 9, & 6). I looked at, contacted and asked questions of ALL the Escape Rooms in the Denver Metro area for the best option. More than once I got less than enthusiastic responses from other Escape Rooms and a strict "no child under... " allowed. BUT then I contacted Escape Works Denver! They were helpful, friendly and willing to answer my questions. (First time for all involved) We chose the Egyptian room. We didn't quite make it. Dana (our host) gave us clues periodically that excited the little ones. Word of caution: My 6 year old is a fairly brave kid and occasionally he needed reassuring that the walls wouldn't begin closing in! But, in the end, a great time was had by all! read more

Did the Casino Heist with 3 friends. I was a little skeptical going in as I had never done an escape room. That was the most fun. One hour of pure intensity. Jared, our host, was great - giving us just enough clues to keep us from stalling but not so much to make it easy. We didn't escape but we got to the last code - the door code to escape. My sisters and I have come here 3 times and honestly, these rooms are so fun! All the employees are super nice and I hope they have a new escape room soon so we can solve it yesterday we were helped by Trace, who definitely brought a nice presence to the atmosphere there! This is my favorite escape room to date. I went here with my son and two of his friends after purchasing a Groupon, and the four of us had a fantastic time! All aspects of this establishment are very professional and competent. Setting up our reservations online, calling and speaking to personnel on the phone to answer questions, changing our initial date after a sickness in our group, and their ability to accommodate one in our groups handicap (deaf) were all dealt with easily, expeditiously, and with professionalism. The room design itself was crafty and artful and there was a good selection of rooms to choose from. I can't wait to try others too. Both Taylor and Sierra that handled our expedition and progress through this escape room did an excellent job and all four of us enjoyed this immensely. Our only regret is that we forgot to get our group picture at the end to memorialize this lovely evening. read more

I did the Egyptian room with friends... This was the most boring escape room I've ever done. The room was way too small for 8 people and there wasn't any problem solving or puzzles to figure out. ESPECIALLY with 8 people there. Also, the placed is staffed by apathetic teenagers. Our room wasn't properly set up and the tv wasn't on until the end. Wouldn't go back. They're only drawing crowds because of their proximity to 16th Street. read more
