We were greeted by the friendly staff upon arrival. I and the rest of my party have done multiple escape rooms in other cities but this one was by far the most entertaining. I would recommend it for all skill sets. We did the Casino Heist room which we were told only about 15% make it through in 60 minutes. We escaped with 30 seconds to spare! read more

We had so much fun during this escape room! Since the building is located by 16th street mall, we had to park in a parking garage near by ($6 so not too bad). We then walked to the building and learned that it is two stories. Our room was on the second floor. If you've ever done an escape room you know you get clues. This company will give you the clues when they see fit so that was interesting. If they think we are going in the right direction we don't get clues but if it looks like we are truly stuck they will give us a clue. The room we did (Outbreak) was a lot of fun! Very tough! We were told that it was made for 12 people and we were able to escape the room with 3 minutes to spare with only 5 people!!!! You have to try it out! read more

This is the first escape room we've done with another group of strangers. We didn't know what to expect but I'd never do it again. And I'd never pay what they're asking for a private room. Not very immersive which we were both hoping for either. I'd recommended lowering your "private room" pricing since every other company charges roughly the same price for individual people that get a private room. I'd also recommend lowering the capacity because we felt squished in that room with 5 strangers that we didn't want to crowd. The only upside was the employees were all friendly and kind...at least you have that! read more

This is the second escape room my (now 8yo) and I have done here. He loves them, so it was probably our 6th overall. We first did Casino Heist with 3 adults and 3 7yos. We made it with 8 minutes to spare. Some clues were way too hard for the kids (and maybe some adults), but many clues were eye level for the kids and because of their unique perspective we were able to solve it! We did the Egyptian Mummy room, which was themed wonderfully. However, son isn't a great reader, so he had a lot of issue with the puzzles and, unlike other escape rooms, there weren't many locks or things for him to manipulate. Oddly, this was the easier room, and we needed more time. (Because two friends had to cancel last minute due to Covid, we only did it with 1 adult, 1 child, which I don't recommend.) We'll likely wind up doing all the rooms here. read more

This place is a little difficult to see when you arrive. The door was locked, but there's a buzzer to push to be let in. We did the Flower Shop room. They said it was one of the easier ones. I still found it pretty challenging and we weren't able to complete it. Still a fun time though. The employees were friendly and helpful. read more

It was our first time doing an escape room. My friend and I booked and then we got paired with another two people who had done escape rooms. We thought it might be awkward but it was actually a lot of fun with them. Overall we had such a good time! We choose the zombie room and it was not scary in the sense that the lights were on and no one was going to come out surprise you (which was a concern of ours initially). My husband LOVES escape rooms and insists on doing one in every city he travels to, so he did have pretty high expectations when we did the Flower shop escape room Pros - The game master was super informative and helpful in warning us about potential surprises in the escape room that might startle me because I'm pregnant - They have a clear informational video at the beginning that clearly lays out the rules of the room - The room could hold up to 12 people, but my husband and I managed to escape with just the two of us (we were given a few clues by the game master though...) - Their restrooms are super clean! - The game master was also super open and friendly in explaining certain parts of the room to us once we were done Cons - The didn't have any signs like "We escaped!" for us to hold up when we finished the room...so that was pretty disappointing. The only thing we could do was hold up a few of the room's props for our picture - You do have to climb up one-two flights of stairs (depending on which room you're doing) to get to your escape room, so this is not handicap friendly read more

Escape Works is so fun and pretty challenging! I've done the Egyptian Tomb and the Speakeasy Behind the Flower Shop (my personal favorite). Both times, we finished just in time, and both times we had Felix as our game master! Felix is so nice and helpful (but not too helpful!) and was cool about talking puzzles with us afterwards. The puzzle types are varied, and the connections you need to make are logical, which are the most important factors. The room we did had 3 rooms to it, which is always fun and a greater production value. The pricing is average for what you would pay anywhere. So much fun! We were apprehensive because we'd never done an escape room, but the guys there did everything they could to make us feel less so. We really were clueless. It took us a minute to sink into the experience. We chose the Egyptian Tomb "room". It was so dark at the beginning; I had a hard time getting used my eyes adjusted. Once we got on a roll, it was challenging and an absolute blast! We did not make it all the way to the end but the staff was supportive & kind about how we did. I wanted to do another one right away but couldn't. This experience took us out of our comfort zones & made us think and LAUGH! We barely made it out of the room (only 4 seconds left on the timer) and that last 10 minutes was fueled by adrenaline. Felix was so helpful with the hints. I had a blast at escapeworks denver. It was so much fun. Truth be told we (gf and I) had only played 2 other rooms besides we hit this place. So we were still pretty new to the whole thing. We played two rooms, the Egyptian tomb and Casino Heist. Both rooms were very different in how they approached their puzzles which was very exciting. We were warned that both rooms were meant to have a party of 8-12 completing them but it was just us two. So some things came a little later than they should have hahahaha. We got very close each time and it was very rewarding. The Egyptian tomb had a lot more interactive puzzles, where the casino heist was much more lock and math puzzle based. Both fun but I enjoyed the tomb more. They dim the lights and you have to use a torch to see things and it was just much more interactive and I enjoyed it heavily. Our game master trace was a phenomenal guide and he was unbelievably consider and understood our wants and needs throughout the experience. Only giving us hints when we really needed and earned them. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to giving these a try! read more

In my past experiences with escape rooms, I have had a lot of fun. However my experience with EscapeWorks in Denver, was not. The escape room I did was the Egyptian tomb. The decorations and room presentation was pretty impressive, that is why I gave it two stars. But there wasn't much for you to physically touch and fiddle with, more of objects to look at. I personally like escape rooms that are more hands on, but if you like more of a mental challenge, you might prefer this room. Then on top of this, there was a series of unfortunate events that made this escape room pretty stressful and unpleasant. Within the first ten minutes there was a malfunction which caused us to ask for help for over 10 minutes. After no response, we were eventually forced to leave the room and ask them for help. Then we noticed when the worker left there was another 10 minutes knocked off our time. So we were only left with 30 minutes after all the issues were resolved. After we realized how much time had passed, it threw off the whole vibe of fun during our time there. I just felt like they didn't care that the issue took so much of our time even though it wasn't our fault. Then the actual puzzles were pretty tough to crack. They told us only about 30% of people are able to finish. What is the point of going to an escape room if you feel like it's damn near impossible to do. Overall, if you want something fun to do with your family, I wouldn't recommend because this escape room is pretty tedious rather than enjoyable. Just my opinion read more
