We did the Batman room to celebrate my buddy's bday and it was fun! He can't wait to go back to try another room. He is a tough critic because he worked at an escape room for years. I like that Escapology is really clean and that they give you a bracelet. It's in the mall so parking can be hit or miss(luckily it was a hit for us). Make sure you go to the bathroom and sign the waiver beforehand. The woman who was explaining our game was talking SO FAST. That might have been due to a time crunch. We had to ask for one clue and the computer screen ended up giving us another clue which my buddy wasn't too happy about but I'm just glad we escaped. Manager was really nice and took our picture. Came to Escapology to celebrate my birthday with my fiancé. We played Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express escape room. Our game master's name was Demi, prior to starting he notified us that the Murder on the Orient Express was the most popular and the most challenging escape room they have to offer. He said the success rate was about 20-30%! Knowing this we decided to ask for clues to ensure we were able to get through as many puzzles as possible. Even with clues we couldn't finish the escape room within the 1-hour time limit, but Demi gave us additional time. I'm sure with more people the room will be more doable. We really enjoyed our time here and would like to try some of their other rooms the next time we are in the area. read more

We tackled the Batman room, and it was such a fun, immersive experience. The room was challenging without being overwhelming -- perfect for both adults and teens. But if you have younger ones they do have a kids mode. The puzzles were creative, the set design was super detailed, and the storyline had us fully locked in (literally and mentally ). We arrived as a group and the place was nicely decorated and designed. The staff that helped us was customer service oriented. When you arrive, be prepared to fill out their online waiver form. We completed ours on each of our mobile devices. Anyone who arrives after the game starts is automatically put into the room of their escape party, which is very convenient. The draw back here is that there are no restrooms in the business. Guests must walk about 50 feet to the Regal Cinemas to use their restroom. The Agatha Christie Murder On The Orient Express Escape Room is SUPER HARD! The clues are definitely very intense and the activity for solving is stressful. It is a great challenge. The place is clean, the rooms are well decorated and the materials are very up-to-date. We paid $50/person and it was a great experience. There is merchandise for purchase, a great photo backdrop for group pictures, and the staff is nice. read more

Booked a birthday party for my 11 year old and a few of her friends. We did the kids murder mansion. It was a great experience! The staff were super friendly and helpful and really patient with all the kids' questions. Was also really impressed with the set up for the party room, it was awesome! Everything was set up perfectly with some cute neutral decorations and everything you would need for a pizza party. The style of the room matched the lobby decor. Definitely more elevated compared to any other kid partywe've been to. Would be perfect for an adult get together. Communicating with the event coordinator was also a breeze. Escapology is a lot of fun! The staff is very friendly and helpful! I've done two rooms so far, I escaped the pirate themed one and wasn't able to escape the 7 deadly sins escape room. Both rooms are heavily themed to fully submerged you and set the mood. The puzzles definitely take team work and focus to escape. My only negative note is there are some puzzles that can malfunction and essentially halt your progress. Other than that it was a lot of fun! read more

Not worth the price and the batman challenge specifically was not well thought out. I won't ruin anything but even though we "solved" it we needed quite a few clues and even after the final explanation, some of the connections you're supposed to make are a stretch. Located in the Shoppes at Carlsbad, it was pretty empty on a Friday night. You come in, sign a virtual waiver and get brought into the room. The actual space and the room are very clean and seem like pretty high quality. At the end you get to take a group picture and they offer a 50% discount if you come in again the next three days but you have to book right in that moment. read more

The clues were challenging enough that you felt like you accomplished something. And clues were given on screen when we fell behind.
