We recently visited Slick City in Oceanside for the first time. It's an indoor activity park that mainly consists of a bunch of different slides, some short drops, some longer runs. It wasn't quite as huge as I expected ( I thought it would be similar to Sky Zone size) but they also have a basketball court, a dodgeball area, and a few arcade games scattered around. Pricing: $30 for a 90-minute pass, added cost: you're required to buy their specific brand of grip socks for $5. They won't let you use grip socks from other parks. One nice feature is the second-floor mezzanine area. It gives parents and visitors a clear, full view of the entire play floor, and there are plenty of tables as well. Food: pizza, chicken strips and a few other finger goods. Sodas and Icees. Parking: plenty, although they do share a parking lot with Aldi. read more

Look at the negative reviews first... I was extremely disappointed with our experience at the new Slick City Oceanside location. My kids had been looking forward to this place opening for months. The visit started off great until they decided to play dodgeball. While waiting, I noticed two much older young adult males playing against children who appeared to be under 11 years old. Instead of supervising the game, the employee assigned to the dodgeball area was socializing and laughing with them while they were throwing the balls aggressively at the younger kids. When the next game started, the employee completely left the dodgeball court unattended. One of the older males remained in the game with my young children. He grabbed two dodgeballs and threw them with tremendous force. One struck my 7-year-old child directly in the chest, while another hit another child. My child immediately walked off the court in pain and trying not to cry. I immediately found the employee who was supposed to be supervising. He told me he would talk to the individual responsible, but as I walked away, I looked back and saw the employee laughing and joking with him instead of taking the situation seriously. A manager did remove the employee from the dodgeball area and gave us two complimentary admission tickets, which I appreciated. However, instead of removing the employee from guest interaction, he was simply reassigned to another area. Moments later, that same employee approached my 7-year-old child and rudely told him, "Don't drag the mats." Given everything that had just happened, it felt completely inappropriate. I had to tell the employee not to speak to my child that way. The manager told me the General Manager would come speak with me. I waited about 15 minutes, but no one came. I eventually had to locate him myself. The General Manager admitted that the older individual who threw the ball was actually an employee. That made the situation even more concerning. Despite knowing my child had been hit, he never asked if my child was okay, never asked if he had been injured, never asked if he needed medical attention, and never offered to complete an incident report with me. When I requested the employee's name so I could pursue the appropriate legal process, I was told it was "confidential." As a parent, I understand that accidents happen. What I cannot overlook is the lack of supervision, allowing an employee to participate aggressively in a children's game, the unprofessional conduct afterward, and management's dismissive response. My biggest concern is safety. Children should be able to play without worrying about adult-sized individuals participating with excessive force or staff abandoning their posts. I hope Slick City reviews its policies regarding supervision, employee participation in attractions, and how management responds when a child is injured. Families deserve to know that safety is the top priority. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this location until meaningful changes are made. read more

This place was a blast ! We had a great time but we also arrived right at 10am which was really a smart idea because after 11 it gets filled with children and the lines get longer. After 2 hours we got over it, but it was a blast. The following day we were very sore, and felt as if we had done arm workout lol. read more

Clean facility rn. I understand they're newly opened so staff is still learning. My only real complaint is how strictly they enforced time limits. Our kids were already in line for the launching slide when time ran out & staff made them walk down instead of letting them take one last turn. Considering we paid $35 per kid in our group of 5, it's the least they could've done. It felt unnecessary, it's not that serious. There are bins throughout area where sliding pads are put back and taken as needed. Not a bad concept. However, I'd like to see more hand sanitizer stations. We witnessed a few kids get nosebleeds on the launching slide. They just wiped it off and went about their day while touching hand railes and pad handle. Overall, it has potential but could use a few improvements. Socks are $5 on top of admission. read more

Been waiting for this place to open and the kids were excited to try it out. Check in took away too long...we prebooked everything but there was only one person working check in so we got stuck behind a family who was having a hard time with a credit card or some other issue. The lockers aren't working yet so it was a crazy pile of shoes and socks. I expected more slides but honestly the kids loved it and stayed for 90 mins. Overall just a bad experience. I was so excited to have a place like this locally and was really looking forward to this being our new go to play zone, but things definitely fell short. The line to check in overflowed outside the doors. Paid for 90 min tickets online for a start time of 3pm. Got there early and waited in line for about 20 mins. By the time my kids were all checked in with their wristbands it was 2:50 and the attendant went ahead and let them in to start sliding. Great! The kids took a quick break and we grabbed some food at the concessions and were disappointed that the chicken strips were charred! I looked over at another table and saw they also had a full plate of chicken strips that were black and seems like they were thinking the same as us. Dry and just burnt to a crisp. The personal pizza was still cold in the middle. Yikes. At 3:45, they called out my kids color wristbands band along with a few other colors that their time was up. I paid for 90 mins and my kids were kicked out at 45mins. Couldn't get to a staff member reconcile the inconsistency as the line was still out the door by this time. My kids were over it, so we left and don't plan on coming back. I understand they are still new and have some work to do to get things running a bit smoother. But overall just wasn't very impressed with the customer service, they were swamped and it reflected in dropping the ball in several areas. From the beginning to the end the experience was not great. $70 for two kids and $35 in food, only to have their time cut short... bummed and had high hopes. Not worth it. read more

My son and his friends had the best day ever at Slick City! This place is brand new, and you can tell they take pride in keeping everything spotless. The entire facility was incredibly clean, and every staff member we interacted with was polite, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we checked in. A special shout-out to Anthony C., who took the time to answer all of my questions with patience and professionalism. If he's any indication of the leadership here, he's going to make an outstanding general manager. Great customer service like that makes all the difference! As far as what slick city is for experience is amazing. What made this 3 stars was the process. My wife books à time specific online. When she got there still has to wait in line. Then waits in line gets In. I go àt à later time ànd was à on time crunch wanted to go in and spectate my kids. Unfortunately I had to wait in line for that. Solution: Have the associate who lets the consumers in have those spectator bands ànd have them review that they completed the waiver ànd they can band them àt the front. The slick city team should also have a separate like for online reservations. The associate also who was acting as security was an older gentleman didnt see very happy to be there. I would recommend to put an associate with more energy as it's the 2nd face you see prior to going in. Or just remove the position it totality. As a dad who just wanted to go spectate having to wait in life for that seemed not efficient. Please take my notes into consideration or you will be another great project that unfortunately didnt make it due to small operational errors. To finish this rhe associate was upset that I didn't go get the band I talked to my family outside the fence my kids wanted to go show me the slides they ran. There are 9 big slides. The facility was clean and had plenty of seating for adults. My kids had ridden each slide after 20 minutes. There is a basketball court. No one was watching it and the bigger kids were wrestling the ball from the smaller kids. It looked fun for preteens and older. Dodge ball was open briefly and I saw kids getting pegged in the face pretty hard. That space might have been better used to make a climbing wall or obstacle area. I don't think there is enough to do to entertain for 90m and $30 is outrageous. The season pass seems like a good deal if your kid would enjoy the slides. read more
