It turned out they are a great SALES company with no integrity. The initial installation went smoothly but things started to pop up after the installation. First, they were supposed to install an extension so I could run a generator should the Duke System go down. After the installation, they told me that my breaker box was maxed out and would cost me an extra $2,100 to replace it. It would have been nice to know when their Solar Max electrician came to inspect my home BEFORE they did the installation. The second thing is the most egregious, The salesman said I would receive a 30% tax break when I filed my taxes. I told him that I was retired with a fixed income. He promised my payments would not exceed a certain amount as long as I gave the tax rebate back to the lender. However, he did not mention that as a retired person, with a fixed income and no W2, there would be no tax rebate. I did not find this out until I filed my taxes with my tax attorney. No W2, no rebate equals a Higher Monthly Electric Bill, an additional $100/month. I called and spoke with the Operations Manager twice. He promised they would get to the bottom of this and return my call. Two months later, and no callback. If I could rate it no stars, I would. I strongly suggest you find a reputable company. This company is not.

I came across some serious family issues and needed to cancel my plans of getting solar put on my house. It was also more than 10 days after when they said in the paper work they were going to have the construction done on my house. I hadn't had one thing done to my house by them at all. NOT ONE THING. They put a lien on my house and are insisting me to pay 5% of the contract amount. I asked them to take off my lien and they said no. I told them I would most likely be willing to take them to court and they said if I did that then they would change their request to the entire amount of the solar system. My solar was going to cost $50k so I now have to pay the 5% if I don't want to file a law suit on them which I will. That's $2500 for getting nothing from them. I've spoken to other solar companies and read through their paper work and not one other company I've seen holds their customers feet to the fire like this. I would never recommend doing business with AC/DC Solar LLC. If you have signed their paper work cancel it quick before the 3 days are up. Do not sign their paper work.

My experience with Beyond Build & Power LLC ultimately resulted in arbitration, a court-confirmed…read morearbitration award, and a final judgment against the company. I worked directly with Ken Jack (also known as Haim Jack and Shai Jack) and Jay Metzer on a concrete lanai, screen enclosure, and home improvement project at my home in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Because prospective customers often research both companies and the individuals behind them before signing contracts, I believe it is important to identify the individuals involved in my experience: * Ken Jack * Haim Jack * Shai Jack * Jay Metzer * Beyond Build & Power LLC I paid more than $41,000 in deposits toward a patio, screen enclosure, and related home improvement work. What should have been a straightforward construction project became one of the most frustrating, expensive, and time-consuming experiences I have had as a homeowner. The outdoor project involved a concrete lanai and screen enclosure. As work progressed, I became increasingly concerned about the quality of the site preparation, grading, engineering, permitting, and overall project management. Large portions of my lawn and landscaping were damaged, multiple holes were excavated throughout the project area, and the project was left unfinished. I later learned that significant portions of the work would need to be completely redone by a replacement contractor. I also experienced substantial interior damage after a plumbing fixture was improperly installed. A slow leak developed behind a bathroom vanity and went undetected until major damage had already occurred. When the vanity was removed, extensive mold growth and water damage were found throughout the cabinetry, drywall, and surrounding materials. Cabinets had to be removed and replaced, walls had to be opened, and remediation work became necessary because of the damage caused by the leak. When issues arose, I repeatedly attempted to resolve them directly with Ken Jack and Jay Metzer through emails, text messages, phone calls, and requests for corrective action. Communication eventually stopped and my concerns went unresolved. I ultimately terminated the contract and initiated arbitration through the American Arbitration Association. Beyond Build & Power did not appear at the arbitration hearing despite receiving notice. The arbitration proceeded based upon the evidence presented. Following the evidentiary hearing, the arbitrator found that Beyond Build & Power breached the contract, that I had sufficient grounds to terminate the agreement, and that the work performed before termination provided no value because it had to be completely redone by a replacement contractor. The arbitrator also ruled in my favor regarding the plumbing leak and resulting property damage. The arbitrator awarded me $46,851.81. On June 10, 2026, the Hillsborough County Court confirmed that arbitration award and entered a final judgment against Beyond Build & Power LLC in the amount of approximately $47,323 plus interest. The company did not defend the court action, and a default final judgment was entered. 【1-5e31be】 One of the most frustrating aspects of this experience is what happened after the judgment. Despite obtaining an arbitration award and court judgment, I have still not been able to recover the money owed to me. Collection efforts have required additional legal proceedings, expense, and time well beyond the original dispute. Five Star Posted Just a horrible experience. Please look at…read morethe 1 and 2 star reviews. The vast majority of those other experiences align VERY closely with mine. Read those reviews before you decide on Five Star. I wish I had. On to the horror story... I wanted both powered fans (I already owned these) and also ridge vent in case of a power outage. They installed the fans but no ridge vent. They also didn't refund me or my insurance when they hauled off all that unused ridge vent. The fans aren't even installed properly because they're partially covered by plywood and 2x4s. Why would they even install it there? See picture. They pounded the drip edge on so hard that it dented the fascia and left a black spot. They left tire marks in my driveway and nails that I'm still picking up 3 months later. They screwed up my kitchen lights by dropping stuff into my attic and damaging the cans. See picture. On about May 7 (only a couple days after installation), I called to tell Robert about these issues and he said he'd have it fixed. He didn't. On May 17, I texted Robert for a wind mitigation recommendation AND I thought it would jog his memory about the driveway and drip edge. No response. Five Star called demanding payment and I said the job wasn't done. She told me she'd get someone on it. She didn't. Time passed and some snotty rude manager named Justin Ely called demanding payment a week or so later. I said the job wasn't done. He must have contacted Robert for details because a FULL MONTH LATER, Robert finally responded to that May 17 text on June 18. We'll get there soon. After listening to Justinand his condescending nonsense, I wanted to be done with these people and their incompetence, poor communication, awful follow-up, horrendous accounting, greedy attitude, the damage, and simple misunderstandings being blown completely out of proportion. To avoid Justin, I told Robert in the attached text that I was very unhappy and offered to handle everything myself if he'd just take off $1500 from this $30,000 insurance job that was obviously inflated. I have 3 out of pocket quotes that range from $16-$24k. This message was sent at about noon. Robert didn't respond at all. I called the next morning at about 10AM. No answer. 8 or 9 hours later, he had still not responded and I called the office. When Robert finally called back, he informed me that they double charged me for permits and extra decking. So they're demanding payment with snotty Justin and they don't even have their numbers right. Robert said he shared my text and then got Justin in on a 3 way call. I told Justin I was disgusted with all of this and mentioned the $1500 to just be done, give a good review, and I'd pay immediately. He got all upset, accused me of extortion, and threatened to sue me if I withheld payment. Justin told me his only goal is to make money. He asked if I ever give up any of my commissions and laughed when I said it's only happened twice in 25 years, but I will absolutely do right by my client even if it costs me money. Customer satisfaction is so much more important than mine. He then told me he'd also sue me if I told my neighbor about this. My neighbor signed up for a $30K roof on my recommendation. Seems like a good reason to try to make a me happy! On top of that, I'm also a Realtor who gets asked for contractor recommendations VERY routinely. If my roofer hadn't retired, I wouldn't have been calling Five Star. Now, I just remind the other 397 Realtors at my office that they should not be recommending or using Five Star. In the end, I got excuses and a $100 wind mitigation report out of them. They got a bunch of free material for another job. And I had to repair my own drip edge, fascia, lights, fans, and driveway. I'm so glad to be done with Justin's rollercoaster of incompetence and foul language. Until Justin got involved (after the text I posted), it was completely salvageable and polite. He's the problem.
