I brought my leather loafers to be resoled March 16, 2024. The gentleman who took them from me said he was a new owner and would never use the soles that were put on the shoes (by the same company 2-3 years before) because they were inferior, and he added that the former owners supposedly only used contact cement to glue them on. Well, I asked for new soles and what he did was merely re-glue the existing soles and charged me $17.12, while keeping them for a week. To top it off, he smeared the glue on the sole. What has happened to people who think they can stay in business and yet produce inferior workmanship? It's a total rip off and I will never go back. I dropped off my favorite pair of boots to have resoled and the man who works there did a fantastic job! He was very nice and even was able to get remove some stains from the suede I thought I'd never get out. Now these boots have literally thousands of miles on them and I've beat them to hell. I've stomped through mud, snow, had about a million drinks spilled on them so I knew he wouldn't be able to get everything out, and he told me this up front. They look so much better than they did before. These boots are my most expensive articles of clothing and I'd trust him again with them! Highly recommend! read more

Small shop located in Altamonte Mall on the first floor - Mall entrance next to Macy's. They fix shoes, purses and also have an alterations specialist. I have dealt with the manager and the alterations specialist and they are both so sweet and nice! You can tell they love what they do and they are there to help! I have has a pair of heels fixed as I had work off the rubber on the heel itself and the metal was showing. They fixed both shoes so they would match and they did it in 2 days for a great price! The alteration specialist is in the back right of the small shop and is super kind. I dropped of a pair of brand new jeans that fit me like a glove so I did not want to return or exchange them when the zipper had lost 2 teeth. I took it here and they said of course they could fix this. The cost was not bad, $12 but the length of time (1 week) was a little disappointing. I have been going to this store for years & never had a prob until now, at the end of Nov 22 I took a pair of Jordan 11's 2012 to be repaired, he told me 2 weeks, I came back 2 weeks shoes still not ready, was told 2 more weeks he was waiting on glue, came back 3 weeks later shoes STILL not ready , came back week later picked up shoes,I noticed they were not my shoe, they were in wrong box & was wrong size, went right back in & told him they were not my shoes, he says they were, I took them & when I got back to work, I called & said these are not mine, he then says he gv someone else my shoes to bring those back & thst he called the person who had mine & they were in Miami they would bring them back in 2 weeks he would call me, 2 weeks go by, no call from him he says the person is not answering now. I told him that's not my prob he needs to replace my shoes with right shoes or pay me for them, he's says to give him 2 weeks, I did, 2 weeks I call, no shoes, just excuses, then he says give him 3 days, in which he calls & says he has my shoes3 1/2 months later. I go & pick up shoes they are not n box he says person did not bring back the box. I check size, it's correct, I'm rushing to get my son, so I throw them in the trunk, get home & put them in the closet because I'm tied up with other stuff, long story short he gv me fake shoe, he lied for months knowing he gave my shoes away & instead of him doing the right thing as the owner of the store & replacing my shoes(with the real 1's)? or paying me my money & what I paid him to repair them, he was underhanded & ordered fake shoes.It's the principle of the whole matter, it was his fault & instead of lying & dragging me for months, he should hv just told the truth & paid me so I could replace my shoes that was $160 plus the 40 he charged me to repair them & gv them to someone else. HORRIBLE SERVICE: 1) They require you to pay UP FRONT before you get to see their work. 2) They said my shoes would be completed by a certain date and they would call me when completed. They never called so I went to the store after the date and my shoes were still NOT DONE. When I came to pick up the shoes, they gave me a bag. I asked if I could take a look at their work. One of the pairs of shoes I brought in were white and I wanted the paint touched up at the tip of the shoe. Their "repair" looked like they globbed white-out on the front of my shoes, and they didn't even cover their entire affected area. And I'm not just being picky; I was there with my 60-year-old dad who could care less about the "perfect-ness" of shoes, and he said "are you kidding me?!? wow!" ... That's how bad they looked. There are MANY well qualified shoe repairmen in Orlando who will fix shoes, let you approve their work, and then pay them. They will be the ones getting my business in the future. I have been using this shoe repair shop for years. I have found them to be extremely helpful and able to expertly repair shoes that I was concerned may not be repairable. Always very happy with their work and I feel the prices are very fair. A couple of years ago they did have a new person working the counter who was rather gruff and not very customer service oriented. I was so dissapointed because they had always been so pleasant to work with. I tried a couple of other shoe repair shops in town that were highly reviewed but was very disappointed. A few months ago I decided to give them another try. Happily the person I had the bad experiences with has not been there and the guys that are great to work with are the only ones that have been there. I recommend you give them a try. I was a bit skeptical at first due to some of the bad reviews, but so glad I tried them. I brought in my high heels which needed new (tips) at the bottom, not sure what the proper name is, but the point is the medal was coming out and made a horrible sound. My shoes needed that work done and some glue on the straps. However I told him about the glue on my straps after he had already charge me, so this small fix was a bonus I guess. He asked me when I needed it by and they where ready for me when I arrived. Not only had he fixed what I asked but also glued the straps and even the insoles which I didn't ask him to and cleaned them. They looked like new. I only paid $25 for the actual shoes when I bought them. I was charged $10 to get them fixed. I could have throw them away and get a new pair, but I love how comfortable they are and now I can use them for another 2 more years...they are practically new again. It was like buying the same shoes again for $10 bucks. I am so happy! read more

It took a week, I had to prepay, and it looked like a kid had stitched it, and he didn't glue the pieces together as the manufacturer had done. When I brought this to his attention, he was rude and argued, but finally agreed to fix it for pickup 5 days hence. "I'm so busy you know." I took back the shoe. Guy named Travis Flip flopped on pricing and when I asked about discount pricing for so many pairs he told me to come in and he would "take care of me"... I expected obviously a discount and when I got them all and took them there he didn't "take care of me" considering he knocked like $1 off each pair is not a deal when I'd be spending $200+ and then was super rude and had a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. I have been here maybe 3 years back when there was a Polish lady running the shop and she did excellent work, but was pricey. I went recently in Feb-15, and there is a new owner now. Her prices are slightly more affordable, but she is very slow in getting the alteration work done in good time. So if you are in a rush, would not recommend. read more

Anything but professional! I've gone here for a a few repairs and each time I've been disappointed. I kind of wanted to give them another chance, but I have run out of patience. My latest experience really left me depressed. I had these beautiful,really expensive, knee-high leather boots that I wanted to have the calves stretched (yes, this is possible and really doable). They convinced me that they couldn't stretch the leather to what I needed. They said I needed more room than I thought and that they could easily sew on leather panels next to the zipper to make it fit perfectly. OK, sure. It would be done in a week. 3 weeks later, it still wasn't done, so I said I would just come get them. They called back that afternoon before I could pick them up saying they were done. I got them back and they were ruined. Really ruined. They added two inches to the top of the boot, so now they don't fit at all and they look HORRIBLE. I'm going to find another leather repairman to hopefully fix them, but I'm not optimistic. In my experience with Cobblers, you usually get to see the work, talk about your options, and if something isn't right, they fix it. AND, the work should be done on-time. read more

I have given them more than once chance. They have you pay up front and tell you to come back in a week. Both times my shoes were not ready. They dig them out of the bottom of a shoe hamper and tell me to wait ten minutes. Overall they are over priced and can never complete the job when they say they will. Same for the seamstress, good work but overpriced. She also had me wait three weeks for 3 dresses that she told me would be a week. I cannot afford to waste my time waiting for them. I brought in 5 pairs of shoes in need of heel repair. He was able to complete this in such a prompt manner. He went above and beyond and shined and polished the shoes. He removed any blemished and scratches. He made corrections to the tips of the shoes as well to cover any previous wear. I highly recommend them for service! Travis was exemplary. After the cobbler I went to closed, I was referred here by a coworker who has been going here as long as she could remember. This is the only place in Orlando that I will take my Louboutins and other high dollar items to. I've had several pair of red vibram soles replaced and new ones put on. Not only do they make the repairs you discuss, agree upon and pay for but they pay attention to the details and are very thorough. My shoes always come out in as good as if not better shape than I took them in. They always know me when I walk in and ask me about my family. Both people are very friendly; I have not shared the same experience others have expressed, and if I did, I wouldn't take to inappropriate vulgar language and content to express my concerns. It's tacky at best. Anyway, if you are looking for a professional and thorough place, this is it in my opinion. They are not the cheapest place, but I don't worry the entire time while they have my shoes in their store. read more

A true leather repair specialist..... I have exotic leather boots and they have done several new soles, heals, etc. with great success. The last pair, crocodile, needed new heels, and I had hit something by the toe and ripped a small hole. The repair took a little longer, so they weren't ready when I got there. The middle of the next week, they called me and asked me if they could drop them off, or ship them to me to save a trip. My office was not too far, so they delivered them! That's correct, they delivered my boots....Sometimes service is a little more than a discount for "several" heels that need repaired. Thanks to you all for earning a loyal customer. Being instantly engaging made the transactions easy. They clearly knew good people I knew in shoe repair business years ago and revealed something special about their approach to customer service. The location of the store is good, but the service is HORRIBLE. I would not recomend their shoe repair services to anyone. The prices are very high and the workmanship is very poor. They have lost a customer for life and I would never recomend THE PROFESSSIONAL SHOE REPAIR to any of my families or friends. My delema started when I gave them 2 pair of shoes to glue the bottom. The cobbler behind the counter said he could do a good job for me, Four months later both shoe bottoms came off. I returned to the store complaining about the workmanship. The cobbler said "that not his work, He does not use that type of glue. There was no glue on those shoes, thats the factory glue". He found every denial in the book of ever touching my shoe. I am not going to continue further with my story, but the ending was not nice. If this cobbler wanted to redo my shoes after that episode, I would not let him. I do not usually do reviews but the service was so horrible I felt compelled to share. I dropped off a suede purse that needed some help because i washed it in the washing machine. I brought it in thinking maybe they could dye it darker so it wouldn't look so bad. The owner looks at it and convinces me he can make it look great without dyeing it. I agreed and paid 30 bucks up front which i don't like to do but that is their policy. I was given a date to pick it up. After showing up 3 times over a 30 day period i finally got my purse back and it actually looked worse than when i dropped it off. It is really sad because after the horrible experience i had with their many excuses as to why it wasn't done just to get it and get a shitty job, i had no more energy to even argue with them. "Give me 15 minutes and come back." I came back in 15 minutes and they still weren't ready. When I did return I noticed the shoddy work-uneven placement of insole, glue uneven, marks everywhere.
