Great bakery serving delicious coffees, carrot cake, NY cheesecake, cookies etc. The only item we tried that was slightly disappointing was the scone. It was slightly dry but tasty. They were very busy but the service was excellent. Best carrot cake we have ever had. Very clean and easy to see all the tasty offerings. Go with confidence.

This has been one of my favorite places for some time now. I know it did change owners, I am just not sure exactly when. They have the best baked goods! Every time I go they also have new coffee specials. I recently went and was sad to see that the colorful rainbow wall was gone. It looks like it a got a small make over. They do offer indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great spot with lots of parking too.

Sweet little place with a good variety of teas and brews. It's certainly the best place to grab a good cup of coffee very friendly staff. Cute location.

Amazing selection of baked goods! The staff is kind & friendly, Coffee is so good (Lavazza brand) cannoli is 9 out of 10-They use Napoli shells & the filling is a ricotta base-creamy not too sweet! Worth stopping in

We stopped by to get our caffeine fix. I got the hot latte with milk and it was good. The pastries looked amazing but I wasn't hungry or else I would've indulged. They also serve gelato and different sodas. The decor was very cute and vintage. Parking is out front; we parked a short distance away across the town green. Service was great; everyone was friendly and attentive. My toddler had a pizza bread; cheesy bread with light sauce and I had a bite, very tasty! When we come back to town, I will definitely stop by to get my caffeine fix and some desserts to try out.

The building Espresso 59 has moved into used to be (I think) a pharmacy for years and years, and you can still see some of their presence today. The old fashioned cash register and huge wall unit with coffee station both look very familiar (and slightly scream too heavy to move). But the rest is very bright, very new, and looks soooo good! They have cooked food in a grab and go case good for lunch or dinner, a row of huge muffins, and a case of pure bakery delight. It legitimately took several minutes to evaluate all the options and decide which looks THE most delicious and had to be tried immediately. In the end, I had to try two - a cream cheese muffin and pecan bar. The muffin was moist and chocolatey, with the cream cheese well balanced in the center. The pecan bar wasn't overly sweet or sticky, but had a nice snap and a bit of flaking on the bottom. There's also apparently coffee, which is lost on me. They do have the upgrade to pump maple syrup in it though? That must be amazing in the winter! There is a small lot for parking up front, and one on the side of the building. Otherwise parking on the rest of the green is completely walkable to the shop.

Super cute coffee shop/cafe in the center of Litchfield! They one of the only coffee spots open in the late afternoon on a Saturday which we appreciated! They have a great variety of sweet & savory treats, grab and go options and gelato! We got ice coffee (they also have cold brew) and a few savor options for a late lunch which hit the spot and didn't break the wallet. We called prior to going to ensure they had ice coffee, the server was super friendly on the phone and was really accommodating while ordering.

Friendly service, delicious coffee, and excellent baked goods! I had a freshly baked croissant sandwich which was phenomenal, and also purchased a 2 pack of day old apricot croissants (for just $1.99) which I reheated in my air fryer the next day - they were delicious! My peppermint mocha latte was very yummy, and my friend really enjoyed her eggnog latte and Christmas cookies. They had a fantastic assortment of cakes and other baked goods, as well as Gelato which is out of this world!

Small coffee shop but lots of tasty options! As soon as you walk in the staff was warm and cheery. The presentation of the deserts and pastries were amazing, I wanted to buy one of everything. Definitely a great stop if you're in the area looking for fall foliage.

love this place! been going here for years and it has a special place in my heart. the employees are always friendly and there are many fun and delicious coffee flavors and specialty lattes (as well as chai, matcha, etc!). the pastries are also delectable! i will say i do miss the eccentric decoration inside -- ever since the redeco it feels a bit clinical but i trust with time it'll gain some more character. seating is a bit limited inside but there is a bathroom available and it makes up for it with its location on the cute litchfield green.

Such an adorable spot! We visited mid afternoon on a weekend and there was still a line, so we knew it was going to be good. All of the pastries in the case were so tempting - I could've eaten one of everything! My mom and I split a fresh, cheesy bread that was amazing. The coffee selection was great, and I liked their gelato too. I wish they had more seating, but it adds to the charm. We'll be back!

We started off with warm olive bread with whipped butter (perhaps the best butter we've had) and a chilled melon, mint yogurt shooter amuse bouche. We then moved onto the yellowfin tartare and Arethusa Farm Dairy artisanal cheeses featuring a variety of their delicious cheeses, including their acclaimed Gouda. For our mid course we had the braised duck dumplings, calamari stuffed with squid ink risotto, and sweet corn and ricotta agnolotti. This was our favorite part of the meal with the calamari and agnolotti being standout dishes for us. For entrees we went with the tamarind glazed black cod with black rice and lemongrass sauce and the pork tenderloin. With finished off with the famous Arethusa Farm dairy ice cream (mint, strawberry, and sweet cream chocolate trip) which truly channeled the essence of farm fresh and ended what was a delicious feast of flavors. This is amongst our favorite farm to table restaurants and def would reccomend this for a special occasion

Hanger steak was spot on. Uni toast!!!! Man that was tasty. What could be better: They badly need sound baffling - its way too hard to hear. Cocktails were meh. Wine list could be broader - they have some nice wines its just not a very good diversity. Would have loved to sit in the patio. Overall would totally go back

They have a fantastic selection of Ice cream flavors, do some seasonal flavors each year, and also offer Ice cream sodas, floats, Sundaes, and many topping choices. They also have Ice Cream in tubs to take home and some small "old-timey" snacks, candies, and gum. The hours are really good and sometimes they are open at the most unsuspected times, later than posted at times, which is always a good surprise! The prices are reasonable, I am sure some would say a bit on the higher end, but the quality is so good it is worth it. The lady who (I believe0 is the owner and all the staff are always very pleasant, and the service is very good as well. If I had any small issue at all, I would say it would be great if they did try some brand new flavors. As mentioned above, there are some seasonal flavors that come and go, but never anything brand new and I do think that would be a great addition to an already incredible place. Some notable flavors are our favorites: Banana, Coconut, Toasted Almond and Peppermint around the Holidays, I don't believe we've ever had any flavor that wasn't very good as well. Highly recommended, a really great and groovy place!

And unlike their incredibly high-priced restaurant across the street, al Tavolo, you might actually afford to eat here. The owners have done an admirable creating an environment that's comfortable and low-key without sacrificing their commitment to quality. After all, the phrase "a mano" translates to "by hand," reflecting how the vast majority of items here are made from scratch on site. I come here often for their coffee, which I love for its balance and low acidity compared to Starbucks, etc. But the real star of the show here are the pastries, such as a layered s'more bar the size of a small brick; a variety of gourmet doughnuts (my favorite is the lemon-filled); and "cruffins," a combination of croissant and muffin with a delicious cream filling. My usual go-to are their bagels: slightly crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside. There's also a full sandwich and salad menu with breakfast and lunch options including salads, sandwiches, a quiche of the day, and other specials. Their breakfast egg sandwiches -- seemingly modeled on the now-famous one at Sagaponack General Store in the Hamptons -- are especially popular. While $13 for a basic egg sandwich is a bit ridiculous even for a gourmet one, you'll have little complaint once you have a taste. While you're perusing the menu and pastries, don't forget to check out the well-stocked selection of farm-fresh cheeses and other Arethusa Farm products. And, if you've got room aftewards, don't forget to stop at the Arethusa Farm Dairy Store for some ice cream -- it's also across the street, next to Arethusa al Tavolo. (Disclaimer: I grew up in the area, though I don't know any former or current employees of Arethusa.)
