I also tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter & the Pina Colada with Rum. No complaints on the Peanut Butter, but I couldn't even tasted the Pina Colada. Besides the Nutella, my friend got the Heavenly Chocolate & the Butter Pecan. She had the same complaint as me, the Butter Pecan stood out from the others, but only because of the nuts. We were overwhelmed and undecided with all the different varieties of delicious homemade ice creams. But, they offered taste testers and there were so many cool unique flavors which made it even harder to figure out which one to get! Thankfully they suggested the 6 mini scoop ice cream flight. We were so happy we had this option making it so much easier and so we got to try a bunch of different flavors including, Ube, biscoff, honey latte, pistachio, Oreo, and honey vanilla. My niece was also super excited about the cotton cloud cone,made with either pink or blue cotton candy and a scoop of ice cream on top. She love it! I'm also happy because the space inside was big enough that they have a foosball table, seating and even a little porch with glass windows and tables, so on a rainy day, we were all able to enjoy the ice cream indoors as well. This ice cream was so creamy and fresh, I can't wait to come back and try the others! I also need to try their cheese and coffee shop next door too!

Have not been a big fan of expansion as in the New Haven pizza world, quality and consistency has suffered. That was my fear with Mozzicatto. However, as they are one of the few who make a ricotta pasticiotti, so I go. I bought 3 of the ricotta and a ricotta square (noticing a pattern here?) which were delicious and were as good as they were 25 years ago. They were fresh, form and the filling was delicately sweet. While I can't speak for all the desserts, they still seem to know what they are doing. It's not easy maintaining this type of specialty business as the market of patrons and tastes is a bit different. IMO, they remain a gem and I am thankful the kids have endeavored to stay true to what brought them success. It is pricy compared to the crap you can buy at the supermarket/Costco? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. I will not pass Mozzicato's without stopping. You shouldn't either. Salute!

We had a very nice conversation with Concetta, the Chet's rep at the booth, and she said we could mix and match flavors any way we wanted because "there are no rules here". We walked on the Wild Side and mixed coconut ice with the blueberry ice cream, and the result was incredible. We loved the whole frozen blueberries inside their ice cream. What a great frozen treat on a very hot day. Chet's never disappoints.

As far as I can tell, anyway. All of their competitors are: Nero, Hartford Baking Co, Starbucks, Bruegger's, Dunkin'..... In 2026, I don't think this is optional. Notice how many Super Bowl ads were Uber Eats, GrubHub, and DoorDash? They must be doing pretty well if they can afford Super Bowl ads. Maybe places don't like the lower margins, but isn't that better than no sale at all? Plus it becomes an advertisement for your place. For many lazy people like myself, if you're working from home, you don't want to get up earlier to trudge out in the cold and snow. But if you can just tap your phone and get it delivered in 20 minutes....... Do it, guys. It might be your only hope.
