They have 3 scones: sour cherry-apricot sweet scone, green onion- cheddar savory scone and lemon blueberry poppy seed scone. I got the sour cherry-apricot scone and it was good. The outside was crispy but not hard as a brick like other bakeries. The inside was nice and soft. I wouldn't say they're the best but good. I got 5 scones and the young lady asked if can just put them in a paper bag? Maybe better packaging would be better as it was a huge bag just for 5 scones. I had the espresso poured over there Tara's coffee, ice cream, and it was incredibly scrumptious. How cute it was that the Barista's did a self portrait of themselves and posted it. It's an older couple (?) running the restaurant, with one person holding down the kitchen, and the other person rotating between the register and the back of the house. There's a sign that says they have milk tea and soy milk available, but we've never had milk tea there. They've only had hot soy milk. It comes unsweetened, so add your own sugar. We've tried so many things here, but I would say the overall sentiment is the dishes are decent but very comforting (at least for me). The one standout is their clay pot rice dishes. They get a pretty good crust on it. Overall, a really good value for lunch and I haven't found anything quite like Grand Cafe in the East Bay.
