Used this company for a long distance move from Boston to Florida. Searched around Yelp and found some moving companies with the best reviews, and then inquired about pricing, and this company seemed to come out on top. Communication throughout the process was great- they were very fast to respond to emails, and they allowed me to give them "final" estimates of how many boxes the night before moving. (I ONLY moved boxes and a few random items, no furniture.) That was extremely helpful and appreciated. They made the initial process with the quote very easy (and were exact in the end- did not owe any more or less). The company had initially told me it would take a month to deliver my items. That was fine with my schedule and I said ok. They called me back a few days later to tell me they actually planned on going straight through, if that was ok, and they moved up the delivery date by a month (which would've been 7 days after pickup). Again, that was fine and I made arrangements for that specific delivery date. However, the night before the move they called me to confirm and casually slipped in the conversation that the delivery date was again a different date. It was a few days later than we had planned on. I explained that the new date wasn't going to work for me, I was going to be out of the country, and was told "too bad, to get a direct move without other stops it would cost you an additional $15k". I obviously had no choice but to find someone to be there to accept my boxes. The problem I have with this, is this is not the date I had agreed on and planned on for months. They REALLY inconvenienced me at the very last moment. Second huge issue I had was I had 1 box go missing (that I know of), and several other boxes were damaged during the move. Including several that were labeled FRAGILE. One piece of workout equipment was completely ruined. They were a few hours late on delivery day than expected (cause a problem with my condo building, but understand the exact time is hard to predict with traffic). I would not use this company again. I know I saved money with them, but having things get broken or go missing is not worth it. The box of missing items was invaluable and cannot be replaced with money, it's a shame. Note**** before hiring them, I read all the 4/5 star reviews, and thought every company has a few negative reviews, so no big deal that they existed too. After going back now and reading the negative ones, I realized 1. Same problem of damaged items, stolen boxes, and last minute changes on dates seem to be a theme with this company and 2. Multiple people have reported the company offering money to take down bad reviews. Makes me wonder how trustworthy their reviews are on Yelp.

Honestly the worst moving experience of my life. I used esquire three times. My first move was great, no issue. My next move was into storage where I didn't see damage until the move out of storage. Specialty boxes for glasses and plates that were labeled fragile and well packed had somehow been transported upside down. I watched one of the movers come in holding the box upside down and immediately asked what was going on. It was clearly labeled fragile (with arrows for this side up) and had been flipped over! They tried to suggest I packed it broken and that all boxes should be packed in a way that they can be tipped over, which is just insane. They must have really been rough with the box though because even my unbreakable correlle bowls were broken iykyk. Then they dragged my mattress, which was in a protective bag, across pavement tearing the bag and then slid it up the wet truck ramp getting it filthy with mud. Again, I caught it while it happened and they tried to tell me it was because I didn't buy the mattress bag from them so it was my fault... no, you should be carrying my belongings not dragging them. I called dispatch to complain while the move was in progress and they told me it was my fault that they damaged my belongings. I would not recommend this moving service to my worst enemy. The movers are not well trained and have no common sense... you don't flip Boxes upside down and you don't drag mattresses across pavement and through the mud. Can't believe I even have to explain that. Aside from not handling my items with care, there was other sketchy stuff happening. It was a local move. When we finished at one end, I hopped in my car to meet them at the other. It was a 40 minute drive in total...but somehow I arrived an hour ahead of them, and I'm paying by the hour. They couldn't explain what had taken them so long even though we had driven the same roads...and I had to call them to find out where they were...they showed up right after I called as if they were just hanging out nearby. I was also not very happy that one of my movers was wearing an ankle monitor...I'm all for giving criminals second chances, but I didn't feel great about him being in my home and handling my valuables.

It was strictly by chance that I came to work with Esquire Moving & Storage. My cousin had hired them to move a cherished family heirloom hutch from my home to his home, MA to VA. As a result of their excellent service and kind courteous team, I decided to hire them for our long distance move from MA to FL! The teams actually came twice as our move has been in process over weeks so the first pick up to their storage facility made it so easy to then liquidate and pack up for the final items to be picked up! Each time the team foreman and associates were on time, kind, courteous, considerate and efficient. Their attention to detail in wrapping, packing and caring for our items went above and beyond! We have never actually moved before this being our first actual move in 47+ years from our home of that long so to say it was stressful is an understatement but with the teams at Esquire both on site and at office it was so stress free! Lesi in dispatch is amazing, she is so caring, professional and efficient! I do not hesitate to recommend this amazing company that is full of heart and soul as well as caring for their customers! Traits that I value when looking for any company to work with! Thank you to the amazing team at Esquire Moving & Storage!

I really wanted to like this company, unfortunately a lot happened that kept on lowering my rating for them. 1st off there was a price change in quotes. It looked like prices were different depending on days that you wanted to moved, it looked like moving during a week day was going to be more expensive than moving on a weekend. 2nd after multiple back and forth we finally agreed on a date, time and price: $90/hr for 3 hours minimum. I live in a 1 bedroom on 1st floor, with 1 bedroom set, 1 couch, 2 stools and mainly boxes. I moved onto the 3rd floor and this seemed to have taken 5 hours and 45 mins. At this point I was exhausted, so I did not make a fuss about it, paid the money and moved on. Now found out that the bed that they assembled, fell apart the minute that they left, some of my furniture they did not put together and I am unable to find the screws that they unscrewed, my roku stick just disappeared, and all the tape and wrapping paper was left in multiple corners of my place while they take their wrapping blankets ... sort of wondered why they were left for me ... their tape and wrapping paper - yes, that last one left a very bad taste in my mouth. Overall, I would not use them again. I have sent a message to the owner about the roku, but no answer. ‍‍

Ronald and Mario moved our stuff from the pods in our driveway up to the second floor quickly and respectfully. Only aggravation is that they arrived about 30 minutes past the window we had been told. But overall it was a great experience. Thanks guys! read more

Miguel, Mario & Josue was just amazing. They were very attentive to our requests and made sure that all our furniture is placed correctly. They were also very quick and completed the entire move in within 3 hours. They also made sure that they cleanup at the very end. Overall a great and seamless experience. Selling a house and moving out, while simultaneously buying another house and moving in all on the same day is the definition of stressful. Especially with four little kids and all the belongings associated with a big house and garage. Bottom line: Esquire Movers made it all less stressful and exceeded my expectations by far in every dept. They arrived on time, were completely professional and polite, and went to it like they were born to do this job. All furniture was wrapped and protected, even the kids' stuff. And it was all moved out fast with the boxes and packed into the truck with precision. When it became apparent the truck was too small, panic was on the horizon as the new buyers were literally just two hours away from moving in. Alex, the head guy, calmly said it was not a problem. Read: calmly. And in less than 30 minutes, a second truck and 5th strong mover appeared out of thin air, like 'poof'. Yes, we paid for it; nothing's free. But I sincerely appreciated their initiative and ingenuity to make it all work with a looming deadline before the other moving company arrived to move the new family in. Their actions prevented a total logistical and legal headache. Even with the unexpected hassle of moving more inventory than anticipated, not once did I hear any grumbling, complaining, nor were there any eye rolls - even though it was a long very hot & sticky day. Only professionalism and kindness. These guys are hard workers and oddly seem to enjoy it, like the hotter and more humid, the better. Strange. Once at the new house, carpets were laid down and furniture was reassembled and arranged according to our exact specifications. We didn't really expect that or ask for it, but they took the time and energy to ask exactly how we wanted everything situated. Really nice touch. One item was damaged during transport, and Alex was quick to bring it to my attention after more than 12 hours on the job, despite the fact I may not have noticed it for a month given the fact unpacking and sorting is so time consuming. He admitted it happened, apologized, and I was thoroughly impressed by his integrity. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to hire Esquire for our move from Milton to Scituate. Hire these guys... they're fast, pleasant, fair. Provide them with plenty Gatorade if it's hot & humid. Tip them well for the great job they'll do for you. read more

This is my second time using Esquire Moving for 1-bedroom apartment moving within Boston/Cambridge and both times were great! One note is that this time around they called the day before to ask if they could shift my booking time a bit and ended up moving my time an hour earlier, but I was fine with that and it worked out well. For my most recent move, Miguel and Juan were on time, quick, efficient, and friendly. I was so impressed watching them handle my things with ease. Once we arrived at my new place, they were very thoughtful- they made sure they were placing things in the correct room/spot, and it was a little muddy outside so they put down a mat in the entrance to avoid tracking dirt into the apartment which I appreciated. The guys worked exceptionally hard on a big move which took longer than expected. I appreciated their "get it done" attitude and careful handling of my things. All in all the cost was reasonable because it includes the truck and mileage too and I would recommend them over your friends who may or may not show up! read more

I am not one to leave reviews, but after a fantastic experience with Esquire Moving, I feel compelled to share my appreciation for their service. I contacted Esquire for a quote for my move and liked that their price was the lowest among several options and that they were flexible in terms of when they could pick my stuff up. Long story short, I had a very narrow window since I no longer live at the address where my items were located. The morning of the move, the movers called to say that they would be ~2 hours late. This normally would not have been a problem, but due to my aforementioned timing, I called Esquire and Alex was able to find someone to come just a few minutes after the estimated time frame they originally offered me. The two guys who picked up my stuff were really nice and moved my boxes into their truck with great care and speed. That was exactly two weeks ago and now my items have arrived in my new location two days earlier than expected, which is fantastic. The guys who dropped things off went through each box with me after I miscounted to ensure that I got all my items. I had a box with some plates and bowls that weren't packed very well, but everything made it to my destination in one piece! One thing to note is that many moving companies will outsource the actual move by buying space on a truck that's already going cross-country. Esquire has their own trucks and movers, which means your stuff is in their control the whole time. Thanks to Alex and Yury for getting my stuff to Chicago in great shape! read more

I'd give them 7 stars if possible! From our first dealings with Esquire until every item was moved into our new place and furniture assembled, etc., everything was handled honestly and with incredible care. First, Esquire has its own moving teams and vans so they control how each step is handled. They were incredibly responsive, very fair on price, showed up exactly when they said they would, packed our goods incredibly carefully in the truck and delivered on the exact date and time they said they would. The guys were all courteous, fast and thoughtful. We moved from Boston to Nashville. We can't say enough good about Esquire. You will NOT be disappointed! read more

We booked Esquire to move our apartment and storage unit into our new home. Yury was a pleasure to work with. We got confirmation emails along the way. On moving day a team of three movers came on time. They assessed the place and got moving. They worked hard, were very polite, and very careful with our belongings. I couldn't have asked for a better team to help us move! My only complaint is that despite the fact that we called a few days before with concern over how many boxes we had, the estimate was still way under what was needed. They estimated 6-7 hours and it took 12. It ended up costing hundreds more than we were quoted - which I was okay with since I knew the quote was too low - but we felt bad that the workers had such a long day. read more

The service is excellent from pre-planning to final delivery and the cost is very reasonable and straight forward. Knowing we can count on Esquire means we do not need to stress about moving because we know that Esquire's employees are experienced professional, and very dependable. We have used them for simple moves from a storage unit into our home and also for more complicated moves that involved packing, wrapping and storing our household belongings in their warehouse. My husband found Esquire moving for our in-Mass move after we were fed up with ridiculous quotes from other local companies. Esquire quoted us a reasonable price with a flat rate and no travel fee (which was nice, as we moved about 40 minutes away). Our move was scheduled for 6/15 at 8 am. Our team, José and Juan, were worth their weight in GOLD. They showed up right on time and after we reviewed the price agreements, they got to work immediately. They were incredibly efficient, too--we were moved within 5.5 hours and we had several large pieces of furniture to wrap and move down the stairs. They didn't stop once, unless it was to ask a question about what we wanted to move ourselves or where we wanted something to go (once we arrived at our house). Best of all, José and Juan were completely pleasant and friendly throughout the move. They laughed and joked with us and really made a stressful day bearable. Thanks, guys! I've done the self-move before but after working with esquire, I'll never do it again. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

Had a fantastic experience end to end with Esquire. I chose them because Yury was extremely responsive and helped get my move organized on really short notice, their ratings, and because their prices were much better than any others that I checked out. On moving day, Egor and Kostya gave a lot of advanced notice for when they would show up, and then were absolute machines in getting everything packed, moved, and set back up, while also handling everything with care and being quite friendly. Definitely will be using Esquire again next time I'm moving. read more

We used esquire moving for our local move. Their moving was good and efficient. Unfortunately, they broke one of our furniture..the guys apologized and took the broken furniture, and they used their partner company to fix it and brought it back home after about 6 weeks. I'm glad that they stood behind their mistakes and kept up to deliver the fixed furniture back to us. read more

I reviewed a lot of movers before deciding and was glad I picked esquire. They were immediately responsive to my request and was completely competitive and provided what I needed when I needed it, especially on New Year's Eve. They made the relatively impossible film day sweaty job become a 3 hour task with the travel time included. They worked so efficiently and got the job done to the point I felt bad just standing there watching them work. Totally worth the price if your considering hiring a mover. I can't say enough. And sorry it took so long to review. read more

Absolutely 5 stars well earned; well deserved for my local moving experience with them from my initial quote all the way through the move! They were responsive; fair priced/value; fully transparent on costs and details; arrived on time; and were meticulous in wrapping/transporting my goods. They adhered to strict procedures with wearing masks, gloves, and distancing where appropriate. As with all moves there are always unexpected challenges; for mine my elevator broke the last hour of loading. (building has had ongoing issues) Yet, they got the job done powering thru the challenge. On the unload it was much easier (new building/freight elevators) and they were very careful unwrapping/placing furniture without nicking walls or fixtures. Zero damage of my items. It was a long day, yet we were a great team & I'd recommend them for any move you are considering. read more

Our two movers, Alex and Miguel, were prompt, professional, and efficient! They even told us when something could not be moved and explained the reasons why/how to best fix the situation! My boyfriend and I moved into our new apartment from a third floor walk up with very tight and windy stairs. Just used these guys this past Friday and they were great! I received 5 quotes from different movers and they were the most affordable and they offered 3% off for cash payments. The movers were fast, cordial, and polite. We have heavy furniture an they got it all. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of our furniture is loose and and we need to tighten. One of our chairs broke during transit and even glued it back together for us. Thanks Esquire --we will definitely refer folks to you. Update: yuri just called and offered to send a crew over to fix the furniture that needed tightening. This is not necessary but because of the his call I'm giving he company 5 stars = excellent customer service read more

Esquire Movers just moved my sister and I from two separate apartments in Boston, MA to separate storage units in Charlotte, NC. They did an excellent job, from taking care to wrap all our furniture and breakable items in blankets, to keeping our belongings separated, to being on time for pick-up and delivery, all at a very reasonable cost compared to competitors. Unlike a few other local companies we had called, Will was extremely responsive, customer service oriented, and offered very competitive pricing. He delivered a clean, freshly painted dumpster to the house the very next day, and was completely understanding and flexible when we asked to keep it a few extra days on the back end. Plus, he was a very honest, kind, and friendly guy who responded to every text I sent in mere minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to call Tiger again for any dumpster needs and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. PS I just want to be clear that this isn't one of those biased personal plugs. We live way up on the Northshore and this was our very first time having to rent a dumpster down in the Saugus/Melrose/Lynnfield area. I'm writing this shortly after completing my move from Shrewsbury, MA to NYC and honestly can't say enough good things about these guys. I would highly recommend these guys and if I ever needed a move in the area would always call them first. Yury was especially helpful on the phone and made sure to have several follow-ups confirming my dates, answered all my questions, and was generally very professional and responsive. My long distance move was completed over 2 days - one for pickup and store in their warehouse overnight, the next to meet me at my destination in the morning. It was a flat rate at a fantastic price, much lower than I had heard some of the really large moving companies charge so that was a sigh of relief. Pick up - unfortunately some crummy, rainy weather but the crew was fantastic. We had initially discussed a team of 2, but 3 actually came in to speed up the packing. MJ was super nice and great to talk to as we were getting everything moved. I tried to prep everything as best I could for them by taking apart my big pieces and of course there is still a lot of furniture wrapping and protection they do. Even being on the 3rd floor with no elevator, they had everything done in just shy of 2 hours, super fast. Delivery - the delivery team got to the city super early (nearly 3 hours early) and got a great spot ready to go. It was an especially windy day and snowing in parts of MA so I know it wasn't the easiest drive for them. Unfortunately the building was pretty strict about not starting till 9am but the guys stood by till we could start. Again, major props to Alex and Doc who were awesome to work with and really made the day less stressful. Alex was especially fun talking to as we worked through getting stuff off the truck. Once again we were done in under 2 hours, but I will caveat that I asked them not to reassemble the pieces I had taken apart the day before. When all is said and done absolutely nothing was broken, even my leftover glassware that I tossed in never expecting it to make it. The only thing that even had a semblance of damage was minor scratches on top of my dresser, which the top is a cheaper material and honestly I have stuff on top so it won't even be noticable. After having many bad experiences with movers since 2004, I was not looking forward to another move. After reading the great reviews on Yelp, we decided to give Esquire a try. Wow! From the first contact we had with Yury his response was prompt and very detailed. He answered all of our questions before we booked the job. No gimmicks and no surprises. On 1/16/17, Alex, Gabriel and Alex moved us from our two bedroom, 2nd and 3rd floor condo in Dracut to a POD located on the South Shore. First sign this was going to be a better experience than any we've had before was a courtesy call 30 minutes before the job was set to start to let us know they were tied up in traffic. Other movers had just left us wondering when they would arrive, not Esquire these guys are true professionals. Alex, Gabriel and Alex arrived at 8:45 AM and promptly began protecting the main entry way to my building, my doorway and my railings in my unit. Then they started moving like machines getting all boxes out. These guys are fast and efficient! The best part and what sets them apart from any other moving experience that we have had is that they protect all of your furnishings before loading them into the truck. Alex (1) was even kind enough to tell us a delicate candlestand table might be better off in our car if we could take it due to the fragile thin wooden legs. (Any other mover would have taken it not even told you if it did break in transit!) Gabriel was strategizing on how best to protect and transport the items to the truck and even took the back door off the hinges so our ridiculously big couch could be walked out down the deck stairs. Alex (2) was fast and diligent moving everything. He had great strategy getting the mattresses and box springs down and out too. All in all they packed us up and we went down the road to our storage locker on property and loaded that up and then off to the South Shore to the POD! The POD was so efficiently packed if my husband and I were left to our own devices to load it we probably would have needed two PODS. Give this company a chance for your next move! You will NOT regret it! The have a great philosophy and business model and that's what distinguishes them from the other Boston movers! Thanks guys! I needed to move on the day of Christmas Eve while my husband was in the hospital recovering from major surgery. I needed to do it alone, so I called Esquire Moving for help. Booking was super simple, seamless and personable. Without much advanced notice, I submitted an online inquiry and was amazed to get a phone call within 30 minutes, along with a clear cost estimate, a commitment to move me on my requested date, and flexibility to take on additional work of packing or extending the time period as needed. My move was not simple. After 10 years of living in a place, one can accumulate a lot of stuff, the magnitude of which cannot be appreciated until moving. I didn't want to take all of it with me to my new place, but I didn't have time to sort it all out neatly before my move date. The Esquire Moving Team took my changing requirements in stride. We actually scheduled my move in phases. The first phase was moving the priority items from my over-stuffed 2-bedroom apartment in Jamaica Plain to my new 4-bedroom condo in Jamaica Plain, and also taking the large pieces of furniture I was giving away to my friend's place in Medford (the drop-off of which they handled without me). The second phase happened a few days later, in which we completely emptied my place and my over-full basement (and filled the large truck a second time) with stuff to take to the condo, stuff to take to another friend's place in Somerville, donations to take to Goodwill, and stuff to put into storage for me to deal with later (which they brought to their storage facility). With the exception of the things that went to my new condo, Esquire Moving team handled the rest of the drop-offs without me. Moving is stressful and I don't want to do it again anytime soon, but Esquire Moving made it relatively pleasant for me. I appreciated their professionalism in setting expectations, scheduling the work, being on time, handling change requests with flexibility and openness, and masterfully packing and transporting my belongings to multiple destinations. In addition to being top-notch movers, they are nice people and I enjoyed working with them. I 100% recommend Esquire for handling your move... I am totally blown away and satisfied by my experience with them. Emailed them for a quote about a week before my move date. Yuri responded to me within 24 hours and was the only one out of 5 movers I sent quote requests to who could handle my move on such a short notice (of course I booked). Received emails confirming my booking during the following week which were nice to get as hoping that your movers are going to show on the day they said is always stressful! Movers were scheduled to arrive at 8:00am. At 7:45 I heard a truck backing up to my door. Alex, Andrey & Lesha were nothing but professional and friendly. Alex asked for a quick tour to see what was moving and communication was excellent. Once the tour was done I got out of the way to let them do what they did best! These guys really hustle..but also took the time to wrap all my furniture with moving blankets and plastic wrap before moving them into the truck. I have to say that I was very impressed that they were able to handle even the heaviest and most awkward of my furniture with ease and zero complaints, especially being brutally hot and humid outside. They packed every inch of the truck like total pro's and I was impressed with how each piece was secured and placed with thought and care. It only took them just over 2 hours to empty my former 2 bed, 2 bath townhouse. The move into my new house was seamless. They placed everything where I asked them to and even offered to move things if I didn't like where they were located. All in all it took them about 5 hours from time of arrival to the time the truck left my driveway for the move to be complete - and I am so grateful for their hard work. This company absolutely deserves 5 stars rating. I moved from Boston to Vegas and they made this move smooth and affordable. I had unpleasant experience with other companies in the past so first of all I short listed local companies in Boston and visited them. Yes, I wanted to see how they work before signing up for anything. Esquire Moving was able to show their trucks, their packing and their people. I did not want to deal with someone virtual with nice looking web site and super cheap rates, but in reality just a broker sending my job to a third party loading and unloading my belongings many times on the way of 2700 miles. After seeing their location, after seeing the manager handling my job in person I got more confidence about these people. I still was worried up until the moving day, called them few times to make sure that everything goes as planned and every time received respectful and confident answer. They came on time, loaded my stuff super quick leaving me 2-3 extra hours for other tasks on that crazy moving day. They delivered everything to Vegas on time and unloaded quickly. No hassle, no delays, no trouble! I followed their recommendations in how to prepare for the moving day and that made things much easier. Esquire Moving is super professional, accurate on time and reasonable priced. My advice to everyone considering this company - if you find some virtual company offering you a cheaper rate, try to estimate price breakdown (truck, fuel, labor, etc.) and think if you are ready to deal with virtual people you will never see and have no idea who are you paying to. I have never in all my moves from around the country had a group of movers that literally ran the way that these boys did!!! We were wrapping up our move from Denver to Boston, had just driven for 3 days, and were maxed out on our physical and metal threshold. I thought I was going to be slick and found some dirt cheap movers on craigslist that I had booked for unloading our truck in Boston. When they arrived they appeared to be in NO physical shape to accomplish this task and were drunk as skunks so, although stressed as getting our unload complete, I still had to send them on our way. In my panic I went to yelp to try to find an emergency day of mover. This was a task that I felt would have been next to impossible on any given day and without hope seeing as it was the day before thanksgiving. Esquire Moving was one of 10 I called that actually answered and were quick to get us setup for an appointment that day. My original appointment was for 8pm and they actually called me at 4:30pm saying they called in some guys to get us taken care of in 30 min. WOW, JUST WOW!! They're price ended up being the same as my drunk movers. (shame on me for not just going this route to begin) The guys arrived and from the moment they got out of the truck literally were on a steady sprint!! They quickly covered all areas with pads that they might bump to keep my unit safe and were able to unload my VERY packed 16' truck of chaos into my unit. The unit was up a flight to the entrance of the building and up 3 flights in my unit and 2 guys got it done in ONLY 3 HOURS!! I'm not sure where Esquire finds these super-humans that can keep the pace these guys did but I am forever grateful that they did!!! Not to mention after a long drive like this they were wonderful eye-candy to have lol. I can't say enough good things about this company. We were moving in August during covid, from NYC to Boston! I received a quote - which was very reasonable, had regular contact with the moving company's owner Yuri prior to our move, and when we needed Certificates for the move he quickly emailed those to us, and as promised called and emailed us a few days prior to the move. So, far so good I would definitely say. The movers ETA was from 8-9am....they actually called at 7:30am and said they were early and could they begin...I was thrilled that they arrived as early as possible! They were very professional and polite and came in began loading boxes and our belongings into the truck - they were VERY EFFICIENT and VERY CAREFUL with the fragile packed items and other belongings. I was absolutely in awe of how quickly and effectively the crew members were!!! By 11am they were done packing up the truck and in route to Boston! The only issue we had was with their ETA arrival time in Boston which was 4-5pm. It took a bit longer than was estimated and I had to call the owner, because the driver/crew was not answering my calls. The Owner called me back and apologized for their delay, and informed me would be arriving at 7pm, and by then it was getting a dark outside - but the crew members still worked as efficiently as they loaded to unload our belongings. We had them assemble the bed and as one member did the assembly, the other finished bringing in the boxes and etc. we were done by 9:15/9:30ish. Besides the later arrival time, everything with the move went WAY BETTER THAN I EXPECTED!!! I would definitely recommend using Esquire Moving and Storage for your upcoming moves!!! Found esquire on Craigslist and checked reviews on Yelp, so I had high expectations, and they were all met! We were helped out in a local move by Denis and Igor, and cannot recommend them more highly. Booking was easy, using the website. I called the day before the move to confirm the appointment, and the conversation was quick and professional. Denis and Igor met me at the ABF terminal south of Boston. They were stuck in really bad traffic, and called to let me know. I was able to relax a bit getting to the terminal, so I appreciated the heads up. Once they got to the terminal, they took only 30 minutes to move everything out of the ReloCube and into the truck. They moved quickly and efficiently, also making sure everything was secure and safe. I couldn't believe how quickly they worked. I was in for another pleasant shock when we got to the apartment building. They used several tricks to move large amounts of stuff very quickly, which was really helpful since we couldn't get exclusive access to the elevator (construction going on in the building). The move would have taken more time if they hadn't pulled out their bag of tricks, and they could have taken more time if they wanted to. However, they busted their butts moving, and we were done within the estimated amount of time, despite delays from waiting for the elevator. Nothing was damaged at all, either our belongings or the apartment, and these guys were working really fast! I recommend them wholeheartedly, and would not hesitate to use them for our next move in Boston! Tips: Try to get exclusive use of the elevator if you can. Otherwise it may be best if you act as the elevator operator, getting it for the movers when they are ready to move a load up and holding it while they are putting the things in your apartment so they can run back down quickly. read more

I got married to a doctor pursuing his fellowship at Bronx 1.5 years back and moved from India to USA. After the completion of his fellowship, we had to move to Boston. And my husband being extremely busy, all the moving responsibilities fell on my inexperienced shoulders. A lot of people (including my husband) warned me that moving is one of the most stressful experiences of one's life and I was absolutely dreading it. Zeroing in on a mover also turned out to be a very difficult job. However, after getting quotes from all the famous movers, I happened to come across Esquire moving from the internet and wrote to them for a quote. Not only were they quick in getting back to me with a quote, they were also very prompt in replying to all my questions about moving and packing up my stuff (I had zero experience of moving). I was very impressed with their before sale service. On the day of moving, they arrived promptly at 7 am as promised. Unfortunately, our apartment building in Bronx was a big let down for them as we had only one elevator and there was no provision to reserve it for them to move stuff to the truck. They ended up wasting a lot of time waiting for the elevator, but they were extremely professional about the whole thing, no frustration, no rudeness from their end at all. I was told by my husband and other people that I should be mentally prepared for at least 2 - 3 furniture items breaking. With my husband's love for glass study tables, I was mentally prepared for more breakage. However, I was very pleasantly surprised that the move with Esquire resulted in no breakage at all. My experience with Esquire was amazing! Since I inquired about their services they have been nothing but professional and always proactively following up to see if I had any other questions. I worked with a couple of people for the overall process leading up to the move and they were attentive and willing to reach you in my preferred method of communication whether it be call, text or email. Thank you for your help Alina, Valerie, Anna and Lesi. Once the move came along, the movers called me 30 minutes out to confirm their imminent arrival. They parked, came upstairs and assessed the overall items and got ready to work. Brayan B and Bladin were uber attentive and very quick to start with loading boxes and then dismantle, wrap up and load the bigger items. Be aware that deliver could happen the same day; or a day later like in my case as we had a shared load on top of our dedicated load. That was alright as we had a long drive and movers rested and got to work early the next morning. They brought all the big items down, assembled and moved the rest of the things into the house. They will make sure to get all items into the house and they have tools ready to either remove a door or frame to make space for those key larger items that might need some extra room. But after all is done Brayan B and Bladin out everything back to how it was and did an overall walkthrough to make sure everything was where it needed to be. They we were able to fix a couple of items that needed repositioning and overall they had great customer service and charisma. We recently hired Esquire to move us from a 2 bedroom townhome in Salem, MA to a single family home in Carlisle, MA (with a 9 night storage requirement due to the separation of our two closings). I had read many positive reviews on Yelp and gave them a call and, from when I first spoke with Yury, I had a good feeling about the company. Yury was friendly, efficient and also offered pricing that seemed very reasonable both for the move and the storage. When we went to confirm Esquire as our choice, we filled out the official booking form on their web site. This was the only snag. Even though I had correctly inputted our delivery date on the form, the confirmatory email from Esquire had the incorrect delivery date and I missed catching the mistake when I reviewed it. In any case, the pick-up day went incredibly smoothly with their crew of 3 men and they handled our home (corners, banisters, etc) and our moving items with extreme care and with lots of padding and shrink wrap. I had zero concern that anything would be broken or dinged-up. It was within this 9 day window that we discovered the mistake on the delivery date. Despite clearly being double booked for that "correct" delivery date, Yury ended up working his magic and was able to personally be there along with two other men in the crew to make sure we we're moved in as expected. As expected, everything was delivered in perfect condition and they worked efficiently to reassemble the larger items that they had disassembled back in Salem. I would definitely use Esquire again personally and would certainly recommend their services to others considering a move. read more

I cannot begin to say how phenomenal the Esquire team was from start to finish. On the first call, Dasha walked me through the entire process, including having me go room by room to give a complete inventory so that they could generate an accurate quote. The day before, Juliette called me to re-confirm all of my equipment and items, which helped as I found I had packed more boxes than I had initially thought I would and worked with me to get an updated quote so there were no surprises the day of the move. I received multiple calls the morning of the move from the actual moving crew, first to tell me when they were leaving their office and their estimated ETA, and then once again when they were a few minutes out. Upon the walkthrough of all my belongings, the moving lead recommended to me that they send a fourth person to the location I was moving into, as it was a third story walkup. He thoroughly explained that it would be an additional hourly cost, but would likely save time and therefore probably end up being a wash costwise. The move itself was seamless. Amilcar, Diego, Jorge V., and Petr transported our belongs quickly, efficiently, and carefully - and as they said, in less time than originally quoted. The suggestion to add a fourth person made the move-in process go even more smoothly than I expected. In the end, the cost came in right within the estimate. The entire team was friendly and professional from start to finish. Having done many past moves on my own, hiring Esquire to handle the move for me was money well-spent, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to hire a moving company. read more

Awesome awesome awesome!! 2 guys showed up right on time, and wasted no time in getting to work. They were fast, kind, professional, efficient, well-prepared, and REALLY went the extra mile for me by helping me put my boxes in the correct rooms and closets. (A different moving company I used in the past just dumped all my boxes and furniture in the closest room to the door, because that's what was convenient for them. When I asked them to get it done right, they begrudgingly agreed but complained the whole time. But not Esquire! They really live up to that name of royalty!) I was most worried about a few select pieces of antique furniture, but everything was wrapped THOROUGHLY, and I felt like my stuff was being well taken care of. I had put plastic wrap around an antique cabinet that has glass doors, and without missing a beat, they made sure it was up to standard! They opened it, taped up some shelf hooks on the inside that I'd forgotten about, rewrapped it, AND wrapped it in blankets. I was VERY impressed with how thorough they were. Also, my two window AC units were well taken care of - they put them in thick contractor trash bags and taped around them to seal them up, so I didn't have to worry about the water leaking on the rest of my stuff. And lastly - the price is REALLY great for the value and work they put in. They offer a discount if you pay in cash, and they also offer a discount if you're a returning customer. My two guys even offered to cover the cost of a few rolls of tape they used! I was very very happy with how well they treated me! Will definitely be using this company again!!! read more

I want to give a shout out to the Esquire Moving team. From when I requested a quote, I want to say the guys name was Yury (apologies if his name is misspelled). I was moving from my studio apartment on North Street in the North End, to down the road to Causeway St 1 bedroom apartment. The quote was reasonable and I my apartment required movers insurance and I emailed Yury and right away he responded with the proper documents I needed to submit to my new apartment. I decided to go with Esquire not only because of the price, but also for the customer service. I told Yury my date of May 31st and that I preferred the earliest time and 8am was available. The week before I received a reminder email of my move and what is expected of the process. The week of my move, I received a call to confirm everything. The day of my move, I received a call from the drivers to let me know they are 20 mins out, they arrived 7:50 which was perfect. Two guys (MJ & Yerzhan) were very nice and polite. They went over the process with me, signed a few papers and away they went to move my stuff in the truck. They wrapped my bed and other things as well. They were fast and efficient with my belongings. We headed over to my new apartment and they unloaded my stuff, assembled my bed and everything was great. Moving can be such a headache but, I will go with this company the next time I move. The total at the end was very reasonable and within the quote that Yury gave me. I have to start by saying I LOVED this moving company!!! Their service were on point. From the start of me calling to request their services to the moving part, everything was smooth! What I also liked is that they were clear about the fact that they have no fees or extra charges. It's just the rate per the hour unlike other companies! I knew exactly how much it would cost and it was accurate! They were super flexible despite their busy schedule. I had an issue with the moving in time to my building, I called to ask them if we can move the moving time from the morning to the afternoon. I called one day before the move! And even though it was the first of July when things are crazy busy, they still were able to accommodate me! I was so appreciative of that! The crew I got were Ryan and david! Ryan called me couple of hours to let me know when they were coming. I asked him if he can let me know 15 mins so I get things ready before their arrival and he was very responsive! When they arrived, we had a situation with the street parking. These two didn't let that get in the way, they were super flexible and got to work right away! They were super pleasant, efficient and great! I'm addition, I had couple of big items I wanted to throw away, they helped me with them. They also helped me fix my bed frame! They went above and beyond to make this move smooth and easy for me! I've moved a lot, but by far this move was the smoothest and it's all thanks to them! Esquire's dedicated staff made our complicated move from Boston to Virginia smooth and pleasant. The Boston crew had a big challenge fitting our belongings into one truck. The team leader, Yeisan, immediately ordered a second truck in case they needed it and reassured me that they would get the job done for the rate they quoted regardless of how many trucks they needed. I never worried once because of Yeisan's confident, knowledgeable leadership and great communication. Yeisan's guys--Fredy , Anderson , David ,and Blandin--were courteous and kind despite the frustrating situation. In the end, they somehow fit everything into one truck. These guys are amazing. The guys on the Virginia end, Dennis and Marlen, faced an equal challenge when they had to offload a larger-than-expected load plus had to reassemble a lot more items than usual because the Boston crew needed to fit things tightly. Dennis and Marlen ended up working for more than seven hours. When I could tell they were exhausted, I offered to finish assembling some of the furniture. They insisted on finishing the job. They both had a super positive attitude the whole way through. The many obstacles we faced could have resulted in a stressful, exhausting move, but thanks to these guys,.we feel refreshed and we have great memories of this milestone in our family's journey. This is my first time applying for the moving service from Esquire. I was a bit scared of moving due to hearing about some unpleasant experiences with other moving companies. So, I spent some time searching for a high-reputational moving company and chose Esquire. They have a professional estimation and will help you with anything before your scheduled move. Super surprisingly, they arrived on time!!! Miguel called me one day before and also reminded me 30 min before arriving. Then, they arrived on time!!! After arriving, Miguel started discussing with me what furniture/items/boxes needed to move and wrapped. Then, they (Miguel, Juan, and Irvin) started action immediately. They are really professional! They carefully move furniture and know what angle to move big furniture out of our small entrance. Also, they never stop! In the mid of moving, I also asked them if they should take a break for water. They look very friendly and always smile at us. I can tell they like their professional, and I respect them so much! Importantly, they are polite! When we arrived at the destination, they discussed with us where to offload all items and started unloading and unpacking. You have never seen any movers like them, high speed and professionals. The total moving time is less than the estimation! I'm really glad I chose this moving company ... really great service! I recently relocated from NY (Manhattan) to a downtown Boston. I was reluctant about trusting any movers because I have several precious and priceless family heirlooms, as well as many extremely valuable antiques and pieces of fine art. I've heard the horror stories about other movers tossing boxes about, dropping them to the ground and floor, driving haphazardly and causing damage. It's happened to many of my friends with other moving companies, and I wasn't sure who to choose for my move, but a colleague of mine used this company and suggested them to me so I decided to give them a try. I am seriously pleased with my decision, because they were perfect! The movers arrived in the window of time they promised, the guys were friendly and took the time to find out precisely what I needed. I have to admit that I wasn't as organized as I should have been when they arrived, but they were really good about getting me on track and didn't make me feel bad about it at all. I was a nervous wreck about my heirlooms and art, but they handled everything with meticulous care. Honestly, I was amazed because I was sure that a long trip like that would result in some breakage, but they were extra extra careful with every item and I could see I had nothing to worry about with them. I cannot say enough great things about these guys (something I never thought I'd say about a moving company). My boyfriend and I were moving from Cambridge to Chicago. After going through several companies that promised to deliver our stuff somewhere between "3 and 21 days," we can across Esquire (based on the really great Yelp reviews). They promised to deliver things in two days. And they were the cheapest among the estimates. They were impressively efficient at moving things out of our Boston apartment. They were also astoundingly good packers (to be honest, when they showed up I did not think there was any chance all our stuff was going to fit in their truck). The entire time, they were really gracious and nice-- just pleasant all around. When we arrived in Chicago, they were right on time and moved my stupidly heavy sofabed like it was nothing. I was really impressed- although our new landlord made them go around the building to move things up (rather than through the front door), they were shockingly fast. This was, by far, the easiest move I'd ever had. And that this was a long distance move made everything the more impressive. Their rapid delivery time made getting settled into our new city that much easier. They were also very careful with our things (we own a few antiques) and nothing was damaged. I booked Esquire Moving & Storage based on a co-worker's recommendation. They were absolutely fantastic from start to finish! They were very communicative and helpful throughout the process. They called ahead to let me know they were coming. They were extremely efficient and careful with all of my items. They did such a wonderful job! It was terrible weather the day of my move, but the guys were incredibly kind and positive. Cheerfully working despite how wet and stormy the weather was. Leo, David V. and Alex P. were such an amazing crew. They worked so well together and were so polite. It was such a wonderful experience. Moving can be so stressful. I just appreciate a company that takes care of the customer and goes above and beyond! They helped put all the furniture together and left me feeling really good about my space. Being on my own makes it really tough, and these guys were top notch! Highly recommend Esquire Moving & Storage! You won't be disappointed!! They were very upfront about the cost of everything as well and the guys made sure to ask about an additional wardrobe box to help with the rain. They wanted my approval before adding that to the overall cost. Most companies just sneak in a bunch of additional cost. I felt extremely comfortable knowing the cost upfront!!
