He and his staff are very aware of each patient's personal needs, and he understands that not everyone loves to have sharp and potentially painful objects inserted in their mouths. I must say that in my experience, he has been very aware of my sensitivities and gingerly performs his duties as painlessly as possible. As far as I can tell, his work on my teeth has always been professional and skillful. His dental hygienists, receptionist, and other staffers are very affable and caring, too. Each of them somehow knows a lot about me and my family members. One issue that is a bit of a challenge is that his fees are a bit higher than most of the other dentists in the area. Our dental insurance policy often denies 100% coverage because his fees are more than what they consider "reasonable and customary." In addition, he does not appear to be affiliated with any dental HMO or affinity group discount program. Nevertheless, we have decided to stay with his practice and accept the extra cost of this highly skilled dentist.

Dr. Drew decided that my son would need to undergo the procedure under general anesthesia, and an anesthesiologist would be brought in. We returned for a second appointment, during which they were able to perform the exam. We do need to follow up with an oral surgeon, which I expected, as I heard the same information from his previous dentist. Additionally, my cousin is a pediatric dentist and knows Dr. Drew, as she works in Highland Park. I am planning to switch my general dentist to Dr. Drew.

So please be careful when considering braces in a older age! I found Dr. Lorelei Grisé, a periodontist, which she was a angel sent from above seriously. From the first meet she really acknowledged what I was going through and even text me personally after my visit. She is very detailed which is what I was looking for especially in the dental world.
