What a great experience! My wax girl was very sweet, professional and made me feel very comfortable. I'm kind of a baby when it comes to waxing pain but she was just awesome. She provided numbing spray, cleansing wipes and was very thorough in her work, I've been waxed many times but she (I feel awful I don't recall her name...I was nervous so can't remember) but she did an exceptional job. There is not a single stray hair. I have fair skin and light hair so it's common for waders to leave a lot behind. Not at Essential. To make this short and sweet for someone who needs to make a quick decision: DO IT. Go visit this place. You will not regret it. Everyone I know who has gone to Carol has had major improvements. I've been going to Carol for facials for almost four years now and there has not been one day in which I am unsatisfied with the results and/or the customer service. Now here is my story for those interested: I had bad acne sophomore year, to the point where doctors who I saw for things such as a cold were prescribing me medicine for my acne. After having acne for almost a year, I thought I would never get rid of it. I had tried different bar soaps, cleansers, lotions, almost everything, but nothing seemed to work. I was talking to my friend about this problem and she recommended that I see Carol. I couldn't drive at the time so I had to convince my dad to drive me 25 minutes out to get a facial. After having gone the first time, I was so glad and continued to persuade my dad for the next three or so years to take me because Carol's pretty much the only one I trust when it comes to my skin. Now I am in college, 3,000 miles away, so there's no way I can see Carol as much as I would like. However, my skin is doing very well because of the treatment plan that Carol suggested. This will probably sound very cliché, but I'm going to say it anyways because it really is the truth. Trusting Carol with my skin and continuing to visit her has changed my life. It not only has helped me feel more confident with myself, but it has shown me that it's very possible to have business owners who truly care about their patients way more than the money. I went into Essencial Studio for the first time to get the microdermabrasion with glycol peel & oxygen mask. Although it's been taking a few days for my skin to heal, Carol's been with me every step of the way and very attentive to my concerns. Yes it's true, Carol is awesome. So glad I went here. I got a full bikini wax. Carol made me feel so comfortable, and she was very gentle. I told her I was nervous about the pain because I'm pregnant. She asked if I was OK with the temperature of the wax and encouraged me to take a little break if I needed to. She really knows what she's doing, and doesn't rush. Carol used hard wax which adheres to the hair only. This made a big difference because the area was not left looking bright red like I've experienced at other places, also not as painful. Her technique pulls the hair at the root, which is the whole point of waxing, but at some places they pull the strip wrong and hair starts to grow back in a couple of days because the root was left behind. Carol also provides numbing spray if you'd like (she didn't recommend it for me cuz I'm preganant) she also has a wipe in case you need to freshen up prior to the waxing and she gives you a soothing cream and gel to apply afterwards. Also, she used a special oil during the waxing to soothe and remove any leftover stickiness. A bikini wax is never painless, but if you're going to do it, you want an aesthetician that knows what she's doing who will do it right. I recommend this place, and I will be going back for sure! I, myself, like many of you, looked to yelp to find a convenient place to get my legs waxed. I have very thick and stubborn hair so shaving just won't do. Creams are ok but waxing has to be the absolute best.....when I found essencial studio I read the reviews but was still very skeptical due to the fact there aren't many posted but I decided to take a chance anyway. The receptionist, Diana, was very sweet and informative over the phone as I set up my appointment. The location is very quaint and I never would have found it if it wasn't for yelp but anyway the decor was lovely and peaceful and I was greeted and offered beverages. I had my second visit today and completely loved my facial. My first visit was almost two months ago for an essencial facial and it left my face and skin looking & feeling amazing. Noelle has done both facials for me, as today I had a quick fix facial. Both times Noelle was very informative with tips on how to manage my skin. I have very oily skin which causes break outs, but right after my first facial it was very hydrated and clear for weeks. That made me want to come back to her for sure.
