First, she greeted me and we had a consultation on my issue, history of the issue, products I've used so far etc. That showed that she is taking her time to understand my concern and why I'm there. Then, when facial starts, she educated me on the severity of the acne and what I can do to prevent it. One thing I really appreciated from her is her honesty. She has her own products which are on the pricey side. As a layman, she could've told me that my acne is bad and I need to get X product from her to fix the issue. She is running a business. I would've done it because I am assuming she has the best knowledge. But, she was honest and said my condition is not bad at all and some over the counter products (which would be much cheaper than her products) will help solve my issue. I like the ambiance in her facial room, it's feminine but not over the top. It was warm ,welcoming, cozy and well quite comfortable. I really like the Dermalogica product line, Tallie's expert advice on the products was top notch. This was my first experience getting a facial and I could not have asked for a better esthetician than Tallie. Her consultation before getting started was very thorough and she really made sure to understand what I wanted out of the visit. I wanted to learn more about my skin and what I can do to keep improving it. She did a great job at incorporating teaching into the facial and I left a lot more confident about what I needed to do. I have been seeing Tallie for about 5 years now. I started seeing her around my 7th or 8th month of pregnancy when I couldn't see my "nether" region anymore. I finally got to the point where I was like, "dude, I need a professional." I haven't gone back to shaving since. I had tried waxing with others before, but they were kinda weird, and not really worth the money, and I didn't feel very comfortable. But with Tallie, it's a whole 'nother experience. She makes you feel so at ease, and she is such a pro - I've never had an ingrown hair, or bumps or anything but perfection. And she's really affordable. She provides a great value. My eyebrows have never been shaped better either. When that whole threading thing was "in" I tried it, but those women always threaded them too thin and the hair grew back quickly.
