Fred (Freddy) Brown of Essential Watches is an excellent salesman. Courteous, punctual, and trustworthy. I purchased a second hand Omega Constellation as a gift for my mom. Freddy provided me with pictures in a timely manner and took care of everything from start to finish. He sent me the wire information for their bank quickly, confirmed receipt of payment the next morning, and had the watch shipped overnight from the east coast. When the watch arrived in California he sent it to their local jeweler for a final touch up free of charge. My history with Essential Watches started when was shopping for my first, nice, automatic Swiss watch for a while. I actually purchased a few on ebay, Chrono, and elsewhere, only to be disappointed with blemishes, questionable repair histories, unauthentic parts, and a plethora of terrible eBay personalities. Needless to say, the return process was also terrible. I found out about Seth at Essential Watches about a year ago online, and when my search was not working out I decided to check his inventory. Initially, I was skeptical. The website and logo look dated and it made me question how up-to-date their online systems were. After finding the watch I was looking for, I contacted the company and got connected to Irene. She was extremely helpful and after answering my questions, sending me new photos, I pulled the trigger. I got the watch and it was exactly what I wanted. The watch came with everything they had promised and the timepiece was flawless. I recently contacted them back and Seth opened a lead for a particular model year timepiece I was looking for, and again, the service I received was top notch. I am confident to say that I will be shopping with Essential Watches and their team for a while. I have watched ProducerMichael introduce Seth in his YouTube videos and I've watched a lot of them. I've been interested in purchasing watches from Seth because he seams like a straight shooter and very knowledgeable. I called and left messages for Seth but haven't had a call back. So I took a trip to LA from SF to meet Seth at essential watches Monday. I called first on Tuesday but Irene answered instead of Seth. She said he's not around. So my wife and I went and met Steve and he showed me a few watches and I liked couple of them to purchase. Steve went to the back(maybe called Seth) and gave me a discounted price on two watches I wanted. I asked Steve if Seth will be in the next day and he said maybe. So I told him I'll come back the next day before I head back home. I tried calling Seth Wednesday morning but Irene answered. She said she'll give me a great price on that popular piece. After I got her price, it was 1k more than what Steve quoted me the day before. I asked if I can speak with Seth or leave my contact for him and she said I can help you. I felt I was getting the runaround so I hung up. Then I looked on the website and the watch was even lower on the website. The other piece was 3.5k lower on the website. I'm stubborn and determine to meet Seth and purchase a piece from him so I might travel back to essential watches next week. I have twice tried to purchase watches from them. Both times my purchases didn't go through. Once they told me the price was incorrect and tried to sell me a much more expensive yet similar piece. I bought a Patek 7010G from them on July 2014,had paid top dollars in price,as thy had told me that the watch was new, and papers will be dated upon purchase ......when I received the watch it was obviously scratched all over , and probably had been repaired or polished , as I could clearly see side screws were all crooked & damaged...... upon calling them after sending the photos over email, they were very very rude, and hang up the phone ..... I was lucky that a friend of mine knew them closely & had intervened voulantarily to help me. It took a year of fighting with them to replace it with a new watch. Very very sour experience....
